My dog is 3 years old and she has been going to daycare here since she was old enough (received all of her shots). She is on a schedule of 3 days per week and she loves it! She sleeps all day on her and quot;offand quot; days since she is so worn out from playing with her friends the day before. West Chester is part of the Chester Animal Clinic, which is our vet, so it makes is super convenient if the dog needs a booster shot or test performed. Occasionally when I drop her off, I request additional services such as a nail trim and they are completed during her day and there's no additional stress of a vet visit for the dog. Actually, there is no stress for the dog on the off chance that she needs a separate vet visit as that is where she goes for daycare and she loves going to daycare! The staff is amazing, I love dealing with Kirsten and Hannah and know that I can call them with any questions that I may have.
We also use them for boarding and have the same excellent experience every time. She even gets a report card when we pick her up to tell us how her stay went.
They take wonderful care of our dog and she loves going there!

The facilities are beautiful, clean and very modern. We had high expectations but were highly disappointed. We were told that the evaluation process could take several visits. So the first visit he was just walked and didn't interact with other dogs because they told us he wasn't ready. So the second time an employee told me on the phone that he would intereact in playgroups when I called to see how he was doing. Unfortunately, that was not the case when my husband went to pick up our dog and he asked them how our dog did they said they didn't put him in any playgroups. So my husband was quite upset and respectively told them so and walked out without paying when he could not speak to a manager. He expected our dog to be tired from socializing with other dogs not to just be walked and then boarded up for a total of 8-10 hours.
I did not approve of his reaction and spoke to the manager via phone and believed that everything was cleared up. Our dog stayed there after that incident for boarding.
He was finally able to play with other dogs and they informed us that he did well. There our several reasons that we are disappointed with this establishment however, for one they don't seem to have the experienced dog handlers and trainers to appropriately and timely evaluate the dogs. I by no means am dog trainer but have many friends who are well known trainers who have worked with Animal Care and Control and started non profit organizations to help save dogs and improve the life of inmates. They can evalute a dog's behavior in a couple of hours with the dog while this establishment took more than 2 days. In addition, my dog used to go to an awesome Doggy daycare several times a week in PA which emphasized the leader of the pack motto. He had no problems and they had 20 -40 dogs a day.
The communication leaves a lot to be desired as they told me one thing on the phone and then tell my husband another thing. It would've been very professional of them to call me and tell me that our dog could not be socialized again instead of just letting us believe he was.
I can only critique from my experience with this facility in comparison to my experience with superior establishments. The owner is a vet which expanded into the dog daycare and boarding business but his medical expertise does not transfer to non-medical pet services or social skills.

I was extremely happy with their service. They did everything they promised they would do and kept me updated. The dog was sorry to leave. She loved it there. They had a swimming pool and my dog loved it.

He loves going there and comes home very tired. The staff are always very friendly and excited to see my dog when we get there. He gives them hugs every morning. He even starts getting excited in the car now as we get closer. We could not love it more.

Overall, I would definitely use this resort again. Shelly came home very happy and very healthy both times. You could tell that she was walked as promised because she was tired but very happy when we brought her home. The staff was very friendly toward us and very loving to Shelly. They were prompt and courteous. Problems did come up, but they dealt with them quickly and were very apologetic. The rating would have been an A++++ if a few things hadn't happened. First, Shelly returned without a bath. There seemed to be some communication issues between the staff. I called and asked that Shelly be given the temperament test three times and this was not completed until the third time I called, which was one or two days before I picked her up after the second visit. Somehow the original request had checked no to this option. In any case, the problem was eventually fixed and Shelly got her test so she could play with other dogs while there. I wasn't charged for the bath we didn't receive. These situations were frustrating, but the end result was that Shelly was returned happy and healthy to us. The facility is amazing and the people are very 'user friendly.' A little miscommunication was nothing compared to the great job they did with Shelly. They are very flexible. They even made sure Shelly got her medication and didn't allow her to get wet two days before and after. I will definitely use them again to board Shelly. I'm sure that the problems won't come up again.
