I was able to get an appointment for two days later. The morning of, the time was narrowed down to a 2-hr window and Brian showed up within that time. He was courteous and knowledgeable and (fortunately) didn't find anything major wrong with the door, springs or motor, but he made a little adjustment, applied some WD40 and all was well. He even re-programed my keypad access so I could have a new security code (and showed me how to do it myself) and synced a new remote opener for me. Thank you, Brian and Virginia Door!

I read VA Door (aka Hobbs Door Svce) reviews on Angie's List and very please with their prices and excellent quality of work and responsiveness.  This company remembers what Customer Service is all about!!! Extremely courteous, kind, helpful, prompt & reasonable priced!!!  The young man did an OUTSTANDING job doing more than what was expected and/or paid for in the bill!!
I would do business with this company in a heartbeat!!!  AWESOME!

We have always been very satisfied with this company.  They have been prompt, efficient, and pleasant to deal with and have provided high quality services to us.  We've owned this house for nearly 35 years, and if anything else goes wrong with our garage door system, they will be the first ones we will call.

Excellent repair service. My garage door opener ripped away where the arm connects to the door. I thought it was going to be an expensive fix since the top panel was damaged. The repair technician was able to fix the door with minimal parts. Service was professional and prompt especially considering that it was around the holidays.

I called on a Monday and was able to get an appointment for the following day between 2-4 PM which I thought was appropriate. The next day, 4:20 PM came by and nobody had shown up so I called the company. I was told the technician would be over within 15 minutes. 25 minutes later (45 minutes after the 2 hour window I was given by the company) the technician showed up.
I called the company the following day and expressed my concerns. I received the same excuse about traffic from the company that I did from the technician. Living in the Hampton Roads area I can understand the traffic. My concern wasn't so much that the technician was late, it is that company or the technician didn't find it necessary to call and let me know...I had to seek the company out for the answers.
The technician did the job in a quick manner and the garage door is working fine so the work seems good.

I accidentally closed automatic garage door on an obstacle. The door not only jumped track, but, when I tried to operate it manually, the top of the door became damaged. Called Virginia Doors and expressed my dismay. Wayne Miller came out that same day (though he had already worked a long day), got the door on track, adjusted it, and repaired the top section by straightening it out and adding a brace. What relief! I was more than glad to pay the price of $95 to have it working again. Thanks VA Doors for your fine integrity and many years of good service.

A spring on one of our two garage doors detached from the door. A spring on the other door was deformed. Virginia Door replaced the springs, and inspected, oiled, and adjusted both doors. The job was done well, but the cost seemed higher than it ought to be to me, considering the short amount of time that the work took. It is possible that they may have lowered the price if I had complained at the time, but I did not. I was simply too happy to have a working door again that I didn't give the cost much thought at the time.

It was painless. When I called, they asked for door model and weight info and we set the appt for a couple days out. We were the technician's second call of the morning, but his first was cancelled. He called about 30 minutes out, which works for me, as I work very close to home, but I missed his first call. So, by the time he caught me and I got there, he had finished. My wife hadn't left for work yet, so she let him in. I thought the price was reasonable, but I admit that did not shop around. The door was originally installed by Virginia Door when the house was new in '96, so I just called them.

When I called for an estimate, they asked questions to diagnose that it was the spring (invisible break) as well as the bracket (visible) that had gone. The estimate was much lower (hundreds lower) than another place I called. After confirming a part number that I read off the door, they scheduled a next-day fix. They came out and quickly changed everything out. The bracket was replaced with a sturdier model. The installer cleaned everything up and was polite and quick-working.

Repairman arrived when promised and gave a courteous introduction. He was very knowledgeable about the door we had, and understood the problem immediately. He had to return to the shop to get the correct spring, but was quickly back and had the spring replaced within an hour. Very pleased.

I liked them but they had a little trouble; however they came and took care of it.

When it comes to garage doors, I strongly recommend that you give Va Door the opportunity to earn your business!

Very punctual. Quick work professionally done. Replaced my old defective Chain drive opener with a belt drive unit which is much quieter and has a lifetime warranty on the belt and motor.

Installed it quickly and included one remote. I bought an external keypad opener and an extra remote control. The technician also programmed my wife's car.

Lastly he adjusted the door and springs.

The garage door is much quieter and operates very smoothly.

Quite happy with the service and the product.

We called them and they came out the next day and ordered the parts. Three days later they came and put the rest of it. I would absolutely use them in the future.

Fine, but don't expect a price break for a simple fix.
