The city had shut the gas off. They said the pipe was an indoor pipe and not an outdoor pipe. AJ came right over and looked at it. About a year before, we had all of the vents cleaned out and they never said anything. I don't know who did it. I noticed the pink insulation stuff was coming up through the vents in the bathroom. It was just a hot mess. AJ was excellent. He did the job in a couple of days and cleaned up very well. I thought the price was pretty good. We have a 2800 square foot house, and I'm not sure how big it was under the house, but I thought the price was fair. Everything was an "A".

This was the 4th time I've called on AJ and his team for HVAC assistance at various properties, and they really came through just as they always have. In this particular case, AJ worked very hard to get through a small, out of reach attic access and suffered through triple digit temperatures to diagnose the problem. As he always does, he took the time to explain to me in great detail what the problem was and what the repair would entail, and the estimate was once again well lower than what I was expecting to have to pay. Honesty, courtesy, and value are all things that I've learned to be able to count on with True Services. There have been a few times when there were minor difficulties with scheduling, but a postponed appointment here and there are a small price to pay for such quality, trustworthy service.

AJ from True Services does a great job! I have used him in both the spring and fall for preventive maintenance on my heating and cooling system. I have been very pleased with his work. I know he has saved me a lot of money by keeping my old HVAC unit working, rather than having to invest in a new unit.
I also used True Services to replace my gas hot water heater a few years back. Again, great service!

We were referred to True Services by our duct cleaning company. AJ and his workers were extremely professional and knowledgeable. We received a quote from them for services that were much lower than what we've received in the past from other HVAC companies. Also, two other companies told us we would have to replace our entire HVAC system because of the old grade of freon. AJ was very honest with us and told us that this isn't necessary and you can replace part of the unit and use the old freon. We recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a dependable and honest HVAC contractor.

I called A.J. at True Services on the recommendation of my manager where I work. My 26 year old AC unit in the attic had finally given up. I had gotten other estimates ranging from $6000 to $16000(!) from other companies. A.J. fell in the middle at $7000 and I felt comfortable with him doing the job. I had him replace everything including the ductwork and thermostat. The job was done very well and very neatly with all the ducts run along the rafters rather than on the attic floor as before. This made for much more storage space. I am very happy with the work performed and will, and have already, recommend him to others.

I was happy with him until 1. I did not get the first bill, but got a call from the air duct service guy asking why I hadn't paid. 2. When I found out how much the bill was I was floored! $195 for 45 minutes of work. He says he was here for 2 hours, he was not. Plus a $25 trip charge to Hampton. I would never recommend some one so expensive and who charges for more time than worked.
Two days later I had the heat go out again, so I called my regular furnace people which is Advantage, well they came on a Saturday, were here for several hours, and only charged $142. This guy is scamming people on his prices.

In our defense to this comment and rating, this service call was placed after our normal business hours. Our technician drove from the Southside to the Peninsula, after-hours, to complete this service call. Moreover, the work was completed on 10/31/11, and this Angie's List report wasn't submitted until 2/5/12. We mailed the 1st invoice to the client on 11/14/11. We gave the client the "benefit of the doubt" through the Christmas Season, and finally sent a late notice on 1/20/12. This client made a partial payment of $145, which we received on 2/7/12, and the Air Duct Company mailed us a check for the difference. We are sorry that this client is not pleased with us, and we don't feel that we deserve this "F" rating. However, we wish her the best in her relationship with Advantage. 1 Peter 3:9 "Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.""
