Rob was great to deal with throughout the entire process. He was able to come out the next day, explained everything and did a fantastic job. I didn’t know much about these fireplaces and he took time to answer my questions. The fireplace looks as good as new now. I plan to have him out once a year now to service it. Highly recommend this company.

New work done from the gas meter throughout the house as part of a gas conversion. Installed approx 40' of copper gas line along with regulators and T-fittings for future growth for other appliances (dryer, hot water heater, pool heater etc), and connected a new gas range and a vented gas log set. Chris and his crew were professional and worked expeditiously, explaining what they were doing along the way and letting us know how they were setting us up well for future growth. I especially appreciated the little tutorial on how to set up and maintain the gas logs when it was all finished, and some other helpful nuggets of knowledge about gas in general. I fully intend to call them back as our appliances need replacing and we get a grill needing hookup. The Gas Guy(s) are my gas guys!

The Gas Guy company is a family owned business and were so helpful and went over and beyond to repair our gas leak. And since we are about to put our house up for sale, they even offered to come back and service, clean and paint our gas fireplace once we put some fire logs in there, which they even offered to see if they had any laying around the shop we could have... so far they haven't found any I guess lol. Definitely recommend them, and would hire them again for sure.

Couldn't ask for better service. Chris and his brother were on time, took time to explain what they were doing and how the unit worked. They cleaned the unit completely and got it back in working order very quickly. We are very satisfied with the work they did and will use them in the future for any maintenance.

First off, these gentleman know their stuff! They were not only punctual, they were early. We've had the worst luck with contractor's as a matter of fact we were referred to Norwood A/C initially. Homeowners be aware of this rude, unpolished, and completely unprofessional nut case. Darrel Norwood, is a creep. Do not leave your wives and girlfriends alone with this clown! To make a long story short he hung up on me when we were in discussion about the work and pricing. He started speaking in the third person and ultimately held a one way conversation about the work in my house. I had to call the Gas Guy and immediately recognized the level of sophistication and professionalism they had to off. Darrel Norwood is a rip off and tried to charge me $180 extra. Whereas, the Gas Guy only charged $95 for the same service. They even looked at my gas logs when they discovered it was a faulty logs they didn't charge me. They are honest and dependable. Their honesty and knowledge wins my business again. Again, choose the Gas Guy not these companies that use their namesake as a ploy to exploit women (Darrel Norwood A/C).

Responded promptly to my message. Was able to come the next day after initial plans to be there 2 days from the call. Confirmed source of leak and why it had occurred as well as noting several other problems with the initial installation. Gave me the estimate and completed the work at the same visit. Went over the repairs with me and answered all questions

He is meticulous, really knows his stuff, and zeroed right in on what the problems were, and fixed them. He is highly recommended by mouth in the Virginia Beach area, and I am so glad I was able to get such a top notch contractor to help me.

Very easy to schedule a cleaning time even near Christmas. They were late coming out to the house but they called ahead of time and let me know they were running late and their earlier job. I appreciate that since so many contractors wouldn't consider doing that. The owner and his son were very professional and did a nice job. They found a leak we had and tightened down the connection. Cleaned everything up very nicely and replaced the embers. Also explained several options should I choose to replace the fireplace with something that actually provides heat.

The customer service was incredible and the guys were super friendly. They were very thorough, taking the time to check everything and making sure I was comfortable with lighting the burners. They also took the time for explanations and teaching moments. And all at a great price. I'm very happy with my Gas Guy experience!

We did have a gas fireplace put in and the company name was The Gas Guy. Everything went wonderful. The workers that I dealt with were good, very nice and very helpful. It was a complicated job. I have a swimming pool and they had to dig down underneath the pipes for the pool and double cross. It was a difficult job. There was just one worker that came out to do that and it took him an afternoon to do that.

Service provider was punctual, prompt, efficient, and professional.  He took the time to show us features of our unit, that we didn't even know existed.  He showed us what to look for when the unit becomes dirty/contaminated with dangerous dust that could be hazardous for the operation of the unit.  Very respectful and courteous father and son team that go the extra distance to ensure customer satisfaction.  They will not let you down!

Joe was very responsive to my inquiries about installing and connecting the gas line needed for our new pool heater. He was easy to reach, and quick to respond. He provided a verbal estimate during our first conversation, which also ended-up being his written estimate (and contracted price).

Joe stopped by the house a few days before the scheduled install in order to get the lay of the land and survey the needed work. While he was there, we discovered the planned location for the pool heater would not be allowed due to building regulations stating the heater needed to be a certain minimum horizontal distance from any opening in to the house. Our planned locations ended-up being too close to a second story window. He consulted with our pool builder and immediately made calls to the manufacturers technical department to validated the stated guidelines and to discuss options. Upon confirming the facts, Joe helped us and our pool builder determine an alternate layout. All-in-all he spent about 3 hours with us that day helping to determine a solution and solve this new problem!

On the planned install day, we encountered heavy rains. Joe called me early to notify me the crews would not be out to do the install due to the inclement weather. They were there the next day and completed their work in short order. His communication was greatly appreciated. He kept me directly informed of the testing timeframes and next steps right through completion. When I reviewed the end result, the work was done with great care to maintain a clean appearance and looks better than the original builders (Pace Homes) gas work. When Joe's crew was trenching the area for the gas line, they unearthed a large of amount of garbage and trash which was mixed in the fill used by our original builder. He directed his crew to remove what they found. The could easily have reburied it, but they did not. I truly appreciate their efforts.

I highly recommend Joe and his Gas Guy team. Great communications, great service, fair pricing, and best of all was the overall experience.

I purchased a pool heater through amazon.com, poured the pad, plumbed and wired it. I just needed a contractor to add a gas line to our meter, trench and bury the line, hook up, and test the new heater. For the distance and lt;10ft, he charges a flat fee which included permits. The install was professional and they arrived on time. It initially didnt pass inspection because the inspector wanted a pressure relief valve installed. The owner came out the next day to install the valve, showed us how to operate and gave a few tips. This was a good experience and would recommend them.

They are local and the price is competitive. They were on time, very professional and the service was out standing.
