Not only did he show up on time, every time, but he is awesome at what he does. He is an absolute electrical fanatic and his pride in his workmanship shows in every job he does. His prices are competitive, especially with the quality of workmanship you get. As a bonus, he's a funny, friendly guy that we felt 100% comfortable having in our house, which is not something everyone can say about the multitudes of workers that come and go over the course of an extensive renovation. Bruce went above and beyond the call of duty, making himself available to us in his off hours and taking our changes and odd requests in stride. You can really tell he loves his work and that's why he's the only electrician we'll ever use.

Mr. Taplin and assistant arrived punctually, surveyed the situation, and went right to work. They worked individually and together, as appropriate, to ensure maximum use of time. No hidden problems (for once in my life!), so all work proceeded smoothly and quickly. As such, they were most amenable to installing a dimmer switch and changing out two other switches that had not been discussed prior to their arrival without additional charge. I also received an estimate for work for a future job, and a frank assessment from Mr. Taplin that one of the items I had him look at would not be cost effective for me to use an electrician, and recommended a surround-sound technician instead. I would definitely use this firm for additional work.

The job was done fairly quickly and when they finished I was happy. The only problem I had was that I asked them to replace the wiring the first time and they just repaired it. They came out one more time to replace everything because the repair job did no fix the problem for long.

This is just one of many jobs Taplin has done for us. We have been calling him for all of our electrical needs since 1985. He has not done anything less than top rate work. The replacement of the lighting took only two hours. He was thorough, and checked everything over more than once. I am not young anymore. It was too difficult for me to change the long fluorescent tubes. I have no problems doing that with the hanging lights.
