Jon's team arrived at 0700 and compeleted the fulland total roof install on my 2000sqft two story home by 01200. The yard was spotless after they left and he waited to collect payment, he took no deposit, until the next morning when he and a member of his team cam back to retrieve the scrap materials container and I had a chance to thuroughly inspect the roof and the skylight. I will be using his services again in the Fall to do some siding work. I also had the opportunity to recommend him to a friend who just happened to get a business card from him the very day he completed my roof. What are the chances of that? Jon was very professional and informative. Like I said before, I will without hesitate to use or recommend his company again. The company is the best and are of the highest quality. He is an honest man and everyone that uses his services should deal with him in the same way, you will not be sorry you did.

This went better than I could have expected! The job was completed by 1:30 in the afternoon on the same day! The crew was extremely professional and hard working! I had spent over one month calling roofing companies for estimates. II had called other top Angies list companies - 6 total! I was attempting to get roofers that were certified to install the shingles (so I could be sure to get the manufacturer warranty, along with making sure they were clear with the BBB and had good ratings on Angies. None of the other 6 companies I called compared to the simplicity, comfort level, and professionalism I received when I called to Jon Montes. He was the LAST one I called. I had almost given up hope of actually being able to find someone that would give me everything I wanted in my price range. I thought I was going to have to settle - paying thousands of dollars but not really feeling great about my purchase. You can read some of my other reviews to find out about the other groups and why none of them were the perfect choice. Jon Montes responded to my email over the weekend...I thought I would try just one more estimateso I had written him late Saturday evening and by Sunday morning I had a response! .Jon Montes was over early that week to give me a quote. In addition to him being able to provide all my requests..I wanted a certain brand shingle, and special underlayment..and a few other things ...in addition to meeting all my needs - his PRICE WAS LOWER THAN ANYONE ELSE TOO. Even if it had not been the lowest, as soon as I met him, I knew he would actually really care about the job and give me the best service! I went out to Chesapeake that following weekend and spoke with a client of his that had just had work done by him. That man could not say enough good things about Jon, his crew, and the job! His whole neighborhood was getting Jon Montes company do replace their roofs! Just confirmed my initial feelings. I had already emailed him the day after getting the quote and told him he had the job. I went to that neighborhood just to decide on my color shingle. The crew arrived at 6:15 am. The quietly started preparing the yard, and covering all my flowers. The had my original layer of roofing off in about one hour (if it even took that long). This crew worked, and never wasted one minute. A truck arrived and efficiently put all the materials for the new roof on via an escalator. The supervisor - John Powers arrived and was on the job all day making sure things were perfect! He was very attentive and ready to work with any concern or question I might have. It started lightly raining early on and I was very concered. But miraculously, the crew had covered the entire roof with a tarp and they were still working underneath it! Absolutely incredible! The roof was completed by 1:30 in the afternoon. It looks beautiful and I am so happy I made that last call to J Montes Inc to get a quote. Jon has followed up on two occassions dropping by to check the roof out and brought me a warranty book as well. I did ask him for business cards too as I plan on spreading the word about this company! My neighbor a few houses down hired him about one week after my job. Meanwhile, a few other houses that had already had roofing crews that had started WEEKS before are just finishing their jobs. I don't know who they chose, but literally weeks to do a simple roof. No escalator, materials - shingle bundles just sitting on roofs for days and days! Save yourself alot of time, if you were planning on using any of the ones I mentioned, I have already spared you time and inconvenience. All were higher in price, some were obvioulsy sales people with out a real clue of what would be entailed in the actual job - just doing theirs very well ...trying to convince you to pay more. Now you don't have to have them over, telling you why you should pay more for their service or why you don't need this or should buy that other brand. Jon Montes is absolutely the perfect choice for your roofing needs! And, he is a real nice guy, supporting his wife and baby boy by providing excellent service to you and not ripping you off! I LOVE MY NEW ROOF - Thanks Jon, John, and the entire crew!

The workers arrived promptly in the a.m. and began removing the old roofing. The entire job took 3 days as my roof was pretty large. At the end of each day, the workers cleaned up the job site and kept my yard clean and free of debris. Mr. Montes and his team did a great job and made everything very easy for me and my family. The work was done at the end of 3 days and everything looked great. The shingles looked great and I am very happy. Mr. Montes and his team did everything they said they would and for that I am very happy. They truly met and exceeded all expectations. Thank you very much.

Jon's crew arrived at approximately 1:30PM and commenced removing the shingles from the low slope roof section. A dumpster was delivered at approximately the same time. The new materials were delivered and placed on the roof. Everyone in the crew was busy from the time they started until they finished. They worked like a well oiled machine. They all knew their jobs and carried them out professionally. At approximately 7:30 PM the work was completed except for one short length of metal band for the chimney. The crew clean up was fantastic. I have never had a better cleanup . The next morning John, the segundo, and one crew member showed and installed the length of metal band for the chimney. The dumpster was picked up and hauled away. The driveway was swept with push brooms and magnetic bars to pick up any nails. All together it was an outstanding job completed in a short time. Kudos to all.

He was in the area so stopped by and did the inspection on the spot. Was very professional and polite. Took a lot of pictures of the damaged areas. Very happy with his service.

We got three bids from contractors an J Montes came in between 600-1300 lower than the other two. 6 workmen showed up at 7:00 AM and knocked it out by 4:00. A little before they finished I realized we forgot to have the attached shed re-shingled. I asked if they could do that also. We felt bad asking since they were almost finished but the owner took care of it. I asked if they could go over a larger area of the yard with the magnet roll because we have two small boys and they did twice. The gutters were finished in a few hours the next day. They did a great job and accommodated last minute requests. I would definitely use this company again.

Outstanding service, support and quality of workmanship. Mr. Montes crew showed up to work on-time for a 0715 hrs start on both days (2). Worked non-stop till sundown. It was clear from the very beginning that the entire crew took pride in their work, cutting no corners. They were very friendly and attentive to any questions I might have asked. Mr. Montes was in near-real time contact with me if I had a question when he was off-site. Otherwise, he was present frequently. One of the crew accidently dented a gutter. When I pointed this out to Mr. Montes, he attempted to straighten the gutter. After determining it could not be restored, he had a gutter company come by on day three and replace it free of charge. This company rocks!!

Great communication. Fast application. Less than 1 1/2 days total. Amazing cleanup and attention to detail. Very pleased with Jon and his group. I have always recommended Jon to others.

They did a wonderful job. Showed up on time and kept us informed through out the entire process. I really liked how the owner of the company came by several times to check on the work. There is NOTHING negative to report about this company and I would recommend them to anyone.

I recently solicited bids from several highly rated roofing companies found on Angie's List. After meeting with representatives from all of the companies, I selected J. Montes Inc. to perform the work. I am thoroughly happy with my decision. Mr. Montes arrived on February 25th to provide me an estimate on replacing roof over my kitchen. He was clean cut, well mannered, and professional. Unlike his peers who emailed me several days later, Mr. Montes took the time write a detailed estimate before he left the appointment. He also provided me with a timeline on when he would start work and when he would finish. As promised, Mr. Montes' crew arrived March 5th to being work. They were polite and hardworking. It was also a large crew for the size of my roof so they finished rather quickly. By afternoon, they were putting the finishing touches on the roof. It looked great and is holding up to the rain we're experiencing today! Please consider using J. Montes Inc. for your roofing needs.

A quote was provided detailing everything that would be done and an expected start was set. All items discussed and put in writing were completed on time.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal for roof maintenance. I wasn't happy with it. I work third shift and the guy didn't contact me and he came over during my time of sleeping. I didn't make an appointment with him or contact him, he just came over. I didn't like that because he woke me up. He was up on the roof less than 30 minutes. He told me he saw some stuff and he took some pictures. He asked me if I had any problems and I told him that my fireplace leaks whenever it rains. He looked at it and said there were some cracks around it and that he had some roofing glue to caulk it. He then said that I had some mildew and would probably have to replace my roof in a couple of years. I got all of that for $150. After he left and it did rain, it still leaked. I bought some spray stuff and sprayed it myself and my roof hasn't leaked since. He was a nice guy but I paid $150 for him to come over when he wanted to take pictures. He was very personable and very respectful. I felt I got ripped off for $150. The price was too high for what I got. He was very professional but he came without my knowing that he was coming. He also told me that he fixed it and he didn’t.

Jon was great to work with. He was very responsive on email and came out to give us an estimate very quickly. We were able to negotiate a very fair price for the work. It took quite a while for the shingles we picked out to arrive, but this was due to the time of year and his suppliers - no fault of his. The work was completed rapidly and the work site very clean when the job was finished. Jon kept us informed along the way when we were waiting for the shingles to arrive so that was great. Absolutely a wonderful professional to work with and we will use his company again in the future.

Jon was very informative about the type of shingles and the quality of the construction and placement. He took the time to explain the differences and answer all questions that I had. Lucky for my roof currently is in good shape and does not need additional work. He did not try to sell me anything that I did not need. Jon was personable, prompt, honest and he will definitely be the person I call when I do need ANY work on my roof. Fantastic work! ***** 5 star company for sure! I would recommend his services to anyone.

He was very clean, professional, and thorough. I will most likely be using him again in several months when I need to replace the roof (per his recommendation, as the roof is about 20 years old and in desperate need of replacing. He quoted us $6000 for a full replacement.

We purchased a Big Deal which advertised an inspection of the roof. Mr. Montes came the next day while we were off from work and completed the inspection. He gave us some great information about the remaining years of usefulness that we could expect out of our roof. We had just moved in 6 months prior & knew that the roof was older. Mr. Montes not only performed an inspection but also cleaned the leaves out of the valleys and replaced a split collar on one of the pipes. Neither of these services was advertised as part of the deal. Mr. Montes was knowledgable and professional. We were impressed with the way he conducted business.

I scheduled a time with Jon, he showed up when expected. Jon and I went to the attic to have a look at the leak, then he proceeded to climb on the roof. Took photos as he inspected the roof. He finished in maybe 30-45 minutes, showed me photos, and gave me a detailed write-up. Superb job.

I had been experienceing a water leak from my roof into the attic and then onto one of the bedroom celings. I wanted to fix it myself, but the roof on our house is 12/12 in some spots and difficult to get up on. Jon came by and quickly determined the problem - a piece of shingle had blown off in a wind storm exposing the sheathing - and water had an easy path to get inside. He replaced the missing shingle and also went around the roof and sealed up all the vents and vent pipes that come through the roof. He also gave me an estimate for putting on a new roof. All in all, I was very pleased with the work he performed and when I get ready to replace the roof shingles, I will certainly call him.

My wife and I have lived in our current house for six years. It is a very tall two-story, and it is difficult to see parts of the roof. I'm not one for climbing up a ladder and walking on a roof, so I wanted an expert to come out and look things over. When Angie's List advertised the Big Deal Roof Maintenance package, I took advantage of it. Jon Montes was great. He was friendly, communicative, and thorough. He performed some minor repairs (sealed a few exposed nails), but found that the roof is in good shape. He wrote up a very detailed assessment, which I very much appreciated, since I was not able to be home when he came. He even took the time to sweep off leaves that had accumulated on the roof! Thank you very much. When it comes time to replace the roof, I will certainly give Jon the business.

On 1/30/13 Mr. Montes came to my home to give me an estimate on getting a new roof installed. Mr. Montes went up on my roof, took pictures and surveyed everything. He came down and told me that he needed at least 10 minutes to write up an estimate. He showed me pictures that he had taken of the roof, presented me with the estimate, which I thought was very fair. I informed him that I got his company from Angie's List which had excellent reviews. I informed Mr. Montes that I wanted him to install my new roof. Mr. Montes' company started the very next day at approximately 8:00 a.m. and finished around 5:30 p.m. Mr Montes' employees came first and then the truck unloaded the roof materials which they lifted to the roof and then the dumpster was delivered for all of the debri. It was a very windy day and some of the old roofing materials were flying all over my yard and on the sides of the house. (They put down tarp around the house to catch most of the debri.) When the roof was completed Mr. Montes informed me that the estimate was going to change slightly due to rotten wood boards. This was only $216.00 more than originally estimated. I saw the condition they were in when they removed them. He also removed the old ventilation system and replaced it with a new one without charge! Mr. Montes also gave me receipts on the boards that he had to replace. They did an excellent job and all of the debri that was over the yard was picked up and the front of my porch was swept. Everything was completely cleaned up. This company did an excellent job of getting the job done exceedingly well and on time. I would recommend them to everyone that needs roof repairs or installations.

J. Montes promptly contacted me to arrange for the roof inspection and we agreed on a date within a week. They arrived when they said they would and were very professional in their assessment. They made minor repairs to the roof and gave a thorough assessment of the roof condition with a recommendation to have it re-inspected in 3-5 years as the roof is in good shape currently. I will certainly use them again for any roof repairs that are required in the future. Excellent results.

Jon was on time and very professional. He did a great job! He located the area where the leak had originated and completed work that he thought would stop the leak. When I asked how much the i owed him, he stated there was not payment until he was sure it was fixed. He told me to call him after we had a good rain to make sure the area wasn't leaking. The leak is fixed and I would highly recommend this company.

Jonathan contacted me right away about my need for a roof inspection and minor repairs. He worked around my schedule to come out at my first convenience. He quickly surveyed the state of my roof, making recommendations on repairs I may need in the future. He performed minor repairs to some problem areas I had so I don't have to worry about the small leak I had. I had looked for weeks to try and figure out where the leak was coming from, but he quickly spotted it and now I am good till its time for the big roof replacement. I will definatly call him when that time comes. Great experience overall. Thanks again.
