In should have cancelled this contractor who was assigned to us by AHS! I read the reviews, called and talked to them about our expectations and they did the same thing to us that they did to others: snaked about ten feet, said there is and "unidentified object" in the line, said they could fix it for 400+ and left. This company is a joke. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT USE THEM. I called and reported them to AHS. Waiting on my second opinion from AHS.

I've seen the negative reviews and today, I can say that Price Right Plumbing did me right. AHS first sent one contractor to fix my toilet bowl clog issues and wasn't resolved because of p*** poor work ethics. That contractor said that the issue was on the roof vent( which wasn't covered in the warranty) and not the cleanout drain, ( the young man sent probably wasn't either seasoned enough or just incompetent) he took a picture of the cleanout and sent to his supervisor for more instructions and the supervisor said that he is not to snake the cleanout drain. Anyways, after a battle with AHS, they sent Price Right Plumbing as Sean being the Plumber, did an amazing job and went straight to cleanout drain and snaked the h*** out of it and unclogged the drain. Sean was very professional and had a "Can Do" attitude!

Was forced to use this company due to home warranty coverage. Called for a blocked drain which is covered under my warranty. There were 3 points of access were identified yet the workers chose to snake only one of them in which required me to physically move the washer and open the trap for them because they refused. The clog was kitchen. Told me that the snake couldn't reach in kitchen yet not once did they try. They were here for not even 2 hours didn't do the job left with a blocked drain. The told me that since the needed to go on the roof to access they had to stop job because AHS didn't cover roof access. I reminded them that they previously told me before lifting my washer for that access that roof access was not needed since I opened the washer trap for them. Yes me, i had to open it. They insisted water was going to run through my house and advised to end the job. I opened it , nothing came out then they spent 2 minutes snaking about 5 feet. They said then it needed to be blown out and they dont do that. They did absolutely nothing and it was apparent they were going to do as little as possible . They did not clean 100 feet through my access points according to my warranty. So because I refuse to sign the paperwork so just out of spite they told my Home warranty company that it was a foreign object and it should not be covered and didn't specify to AHS what type of object however when I called the Price Right back they told me it was because they found a piece of rice on the snake. Obviously rice is not foreign to my sink. They told me they never located the blockage, never got to it but out of spite nullified my warranty. Not once did any tech say it wasn't covered but the acess is not covered and I do not have the blow out equipment. They left after little effort and said we cannot get to blockage so instead of being honest and reporting they were inept they lied to AHS. I then called Roto Rooter, they came out in 2 hours and on site finished the job in an hour. They were the absolute best. He snaked the 3 access points. Yes, he immediately snaked under my sink and cleared my drain. My clog was from grease and normal food accumulating. He showed me grease on the snake, no rice. There was no object found. It was worth paying a professional. I would advice never using this company. Opt to pay someone else. This company employees are liars. They are lazy and inept.

I would not even rate this company a 1! They are the worst company I have ever worked with. I submitted a claim through american home shield and they sent this company out. They have come out twice and in both instances they deemed the issue as something outside of warranty. When I submitted the claim I already knew what the issue was, had pictures and video of the pvc pipe where the issue was. So really didn't need a diagnosis but hey its part of the process right! Well yet again they came up with a reason as to why it should be denied. So this last time i called them to understand how the repair fell out of warranty and asked for a quote to fix the issue. At this point i have already invested $75 into the repair how much more could this simple issue cost. Well to my surprise they stated they dont repair pipes unless they are in the ground. I'm sorry but you came out and took my 75.00 for a repair job you cant do!!! Such a scam! This is now the 2nd time they have come out, reported some sort of out of warranty issue just to get the 75.00 and do nothing to repair the issue. I will tell everyone I know how disgusting this business is, how much of a scam they are and ultimately fraudulent. If it is something you cant fix then you should advise before going out, or refund the service fee, not take the consumers money and leave them left to dry. Shocker I will repair this issue myself because that is how easy the issue really was but now I get to take time off of work to do a job I paid a professional plumbing company for. #scamartisits

Price Wrong, Diagnosed Wrong, follow up did not happen; left me with a broken toilet. Sent by American Home Shield (AHS). Called for what I thought was a wax ring leak on the toilet. The "plumber" told me the flange was installed wrong, but wrote on receipt flange was cracked, it needed 2 people to fix, and they would have to go into crawlspace and cut pipe to be able to replace it all. After me making 2 calls to them days later, I was told it would cost $4500 to fix it, maybe I was told $4 - 500; whatever. They basically got paid to come out for AHS and remove the toilet and misdiagnose, that's it. Did nothing else after that. Left me hanging, and I had to follow up with them twice! Unprofessional. When I called the first time to find out what that status was, I could not hear the woman on phone due to piano music playing loudly in background... unprofessional. I was told I would be called back. No callback. Called them again the next day; waited on hold to get a price that was way too high. I called my regular plumber instead. The flange was not cracked at all. He found the previous homeowner installed flooring higher than the flange, added several wax rings, and set the toilet. My regular plumber correctly diagnosed the problem, installed a repair ring for height, installed a new wax ring. All Fixed for $180. Price Right was a waste of my time and money. I rated punctuality and responsiveness as lousy since they left me hanging with broken toilet and no callbacks. Only showed up on time the first/only time.

If I could do this review with zero stars, I would. I was assigned the company by AHS to repair my water heater and initially everything was going well. They determined it needed to be replaced and went off to get everything sorted with AHS. The day beore the install, I noticed the ticket noted the water heater was 40 gal, which was incorrect. I tried to call, but no answer. The next day was when it all went downhill. When the tech got here I asked about the size and they did order the wrong size. I explained the first tech took the sticker from the water heater but I had a picture which shows the capacity. The tech said they would not have removed the sticker, the picture was not real, questioned why I would take a picture of a sticker - essentially called me a liar. When I challeneged that accusation, he left. I tried first to resolve with the company, no luck as they continued to assert that I was lying. Believe the reviews.

Unfortunately my experience was poor and has taken 2 visits with a 3rd pending just to fix a kitchen faucet handle where I had all of the parts pre-ordered and ready to install. But things happen and I probably wouldn't have considered writing this review if not for the poor customer service I received from the young lady who answers the phone at Price Right. She came across as arrogant, entitled, and demonstrated a clear lack of maturity. But ultimately she is the voice and face of the company, the first impression for many, and her poor customer service is the sole reason for this review. The plumbing techs that came out each time were friendly and helpful and despite not resolving the problem, they are not the sole reason for this review.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY***** IF YOUR WARRANTY COMPANY REFERS THEM DECLINE AND SELECT ANOTHER COMPANY Caleb was dispatched to my home today for plumbing repairs. The leak was discovered to be from the pipe connecting from the bottom of the toilet through the wall leading into my crawls space. Of course I had water traveling through out my downstairs and had someone come over to shut the water off. Caleb looked at the issue PRETENDED he would get the authorization from the warranty company, come back and begin work. He COLLECTED the $100 service fee (of course) called the warranty company and LIED He told them the shut off and supply line was broken and told them I said I tried to get a neighbor to fix it. I NEVER TOLD HIM THAT AND NOTHING WAS BROKEN!!! My warranty company denied the claim and they got a free $100 FOR NOTHING!!! PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY

I had a tub-spout that was leaking lots of water (about half the water was coming out the tub spout and half out of the shower head.) So i called my home warranty company (2-10 home warranty) and put in a claim. They sent this lousy sorry excuse for a plumber out. After the plumber looked at the tub spout he said "Oh well, that's an old style tub-spout, so they are supposed to do that." He suggested I buy a new shower head with my own money and fix it myself. Are you kidding me? Unbelievable that a plumber would try and tell me its not broken when it clearly was. What I believe what happened, is the plumber didn't want to fix it because it required the pipes behind the wall to be fixed, and he didn't want to do the job. So instead, he just lied to me. I also has a toilet that was running, so he said he put a new flapper in. Didn't fix the toilet, still runs water. I can't believe that he would actually try and lie his way out of the job. Horrible plumber. Brought another plumber out and it was fixed right .

American Home Shield sent them out to replace my Apollo system water heater. the initial inspection was less than 2 minutes(it had an obvious leak) and they told me I would have to pay $670.00 out of pocket for "pipe modifications" which is a loop hole they exploit on every AHS water heater contract, without knowing what water heater would go back in. Turns out the same thing went back in but they would even unload the water heater until we paid. I called the company when I was first told about the loop hole scam and asked what the hourly rate was trying to figure out how they justify the expense know if they had to "modify" every single pipe it would be less than an hour of work, I was told it's a "flat rate". that's top notch lawyer kinda of pay. turn out they used "shark bite" hose couplers(my 1 hour was based on having to solder the four pipes) they did nothing extra to install the water heater that they would not have had to do replace the water heater so a complete rip-off sanctioned by American Home Shield who I called several times begging for help but the refused to do anything even let a more honest company do the install, I even offered to pay a second deductible to help cover the second company, they would let my speak a manager or supervisor to give management a chance to make things right, I'll be doing a separate review if AHS. the only ray of light in this dark endeavor is the guys that did the install were nice but..... the water heater failed inspection because the blocked access to my water shutoff valves. My advice avoid them at all cost, in my opinion if you can't make a business successful honestly you're in the wrong business. I believe the got the contract with AHS by bidding low knowing they could more than make up the difference in their loop hole rip-off scam. If you have AHS and have plumbing problem in Hampton Roads tell them when you call this company is not welcome in your home

horrible Broke drain cover and refused to fix it, "he said she said"... tech said it broke from rust and corrosion but the metal is shinny....where broken. At time of revisit to look broke it again, said you don't see anything in the tub do you? so how did i break it.... Well lets see I wasn't standing here when it happened and it wasn't broke in that spot 1 min before you got here, could it be in your pocket, down my drain? Also left crawl space door open when left, I noticed days later, dirt on floors and carpet both times he came, said he did not do crawl spaces and would have another person come out because it was 2 person job to fix one small leak in a pipe in crawl. Just horrible would never recommend.

Company was contracted by American Home Shield to fix a broken pipe. Because we disagreed with the root cause and plan to take it up with AHS they refused to fix the broken pipe. Leaving my wife and 3 children without water for another day. Our pipe ruptured on Saturday and this is now Monday. When I contacted the company directly they falsely stated that my wife threatened to sue them so they would not service us. They were rude and extremely unprofessional to my wife and myself.

Doug came on time and diagnosed the problem with me toilet. He then called American Home Shield Warranty and they said they would not cover the repairs. So on the outset my anger is/was directed to AHS, not Price Rite Plumbing. Doug did the work and was professional in every way. Since I am new to Angies List I decided to look at the reviews for Price Rite and was surprised at the low rating others have given them. In the reviews, each problem began with the home warranty company refusing coverage. The anger should have been directed to the warranty company and not Price Rite. So after reading the other reviews I wanted to give my opinion. Like the others I am an unhappy customer of AHS but very please with Price Rite. Now if there is a problem with the repair in the future I reserve the right to change my mind. For now Price Rite Plumbling & Drain cleaning is OK in my book.

The $60 fee was set by AHS; I have no idea whether it was reasonable for a service call. The repairman was rude, argumentative and smelled awful. I couldn't wait to have him out of my house. He basically refused to diagnose the hot water problem ("it's a big house, it just takes the hot water a long time to get there") and would not listen to what I wanted to tell him about the inability to turn off the tub jets. I felt like they had been told by AHS that they were "not allowed" to find anything wrong so that AHS would not have to pay any repair costs. Complete waste of time and money; would never consider hiring them on my own.

The worst service experience of my life....I'm sure the personwho started this company dod not envision such bad people working on thier behalf.
Description of Work: The absolute worst plumbers in the world!! Also got connected with them through my home warranty...anything that had to be moved out of the way for them to get to what they had to do those lazy bums would not touch it...if you needed them to open a door to get to your pipes..they would say "we don't open doors we only do plumbing" Okay an exaggeration but you get my point. They actually incorrectly installed our water heater. When we pointed out that the water heater was leaning...the guy actually said "no it isn't its the floor...the floor is warped because of the water leakage from the broken water heater" I said "why would you install a new one on a warped floor?" The answer...wait for it...wait for it..."we are not carpenters we are only plumbers" I couldn't laugh because I knew the guy thought I was an idiot...with such a stupid response. I looked at him like he had two freakin heads!!! Anyway, so the building inspector came out to inspect the work...he failed it. "Why" do you ask? Because...wait for it...wait for it...it was crooked!!! the inspector siad you know this is leaning and unnacceptable. The wife called me and that is when I said to myself no more home warranty goons for me. I'm going to Angies List at first opportunity. So the moral of this story is two fold....1. Don't ever use Price Rite plumbing!!! They will be rude think they know more than you and then when they get exposed and are made to come back and correct the repair they break other stuff. Yup...they intentionally blew a fuse to my coolign system. Can't prove it...but I don't believe in coincidence and it did not work after they left....fortunately I had a comepetent guy here who fixed it for next to nothing. 2. Take the advice of Consumer Reports save yourself time, money and your sanity and get rid of any home warranty service you have. The one or two good experiences you have (most likely early in your realtionship with them), pale in comparison to the money you flush down the toilet in monthly fees and service charges. If you do the math and just have a rainy day fund for home repairs. You could do okay by saving 3-5K for a rainy day...anythingthat would cost more than that is most likely covered by your home insurance.

I was matched with this company through my home warranty company for service on my rental property in Virginia Beach. I was matched to them on Wednesday 5/11/11 and actually spoke with them on Thursday 5/12/11. I asked them to speak with my tenant directly to set up a mutually convenient time for an appointment. They asked me who would be the responsible party to pay for the service and I said it would be me. They asked me for my credit card # that day. They spoke with my tenant and set up a 10am appointment time for Friday 5/13/11. Well, on Thursday evening my tenant called me and told me they got the disposal working and that they would call in the morning to cancel the appointment. The next morning she called super early but the business was closed so she waiting to call back. Around 9am the tech called her to "confirm her appointment". At that time she stated that she was able to get the item fixed and did not need service. The guy on the phone said ok, he would take care of it. The company charged my card the $60 fee anyway and when I tried to call on Monday to talk to them, the female receptionist and JOE were both VERY RUDE and refused to credit my card even though the tech never even made it inside the home. They claimed it was a "missed appointment" but that is false and regardless, I never was informed of or agreed to a "missed appointment" fee anyway which is irrelevant since the appointment was cancelled.
