Jim arrived absolutely on time and spent two hours tuning my piano. It sounds wonderful and we are extremely satisfied with the work. He also gave us some valuable tips and advised us on some things that could be done to improve the instrument even more. We may have that work done when the piano needs tuning again. This was NOT a "sales pitch!" He gave us a professional evaluation of what we could do IF we felt we wanted to do it. He was polite, respectful and one heck of a pianist as well as a great tuner!

Jim is extremely knowledgeable. He knew the history of the Wurlitzer brand and knew that due to the manufacturing year, this particular piano was built to a higher standard then the same brand built after a certain year. This allowed to him to tune the piano in a single visit where every other piano tuner that I have spoken to told me it would take at least 4 visits to incrementally bring the piano back into tune. Jim could have done this also and charged me 4 times the price over a period of a year but instead did the best possible job he could. When I texted him about a particular twang sound in certain notes he immediately returned to resolved the "voicing" issue. I highly recommend Jim's service.

He was terrific. He was super professional and knowledgeable. He made my piano sound like a concert piano and it is a real old little one. I recommend him highly to anyone. He was very reasonable.

Everything went well. Mr. Smith is very professional and knowledgeable. The only negative is that he was supposed to contact me for a follow up tuning after his initial visit and he never did. I was pleased with his services though and contacted him, and he scheduled a visit quickly. By the way, my grade for price is N/A because I have nothing to compare his price to.

Jim was punctual, professional, skilled and easy to talk to. It's clear that he loves his work. Before and after he tuned my piano, he played excerpts of several songs so that we could both hear exactly what a properly tuned piano should sound like. He plays beautifully, by the way. I recommend him very highly.

It's a pleasure to be able to write a glowing review about Jim Smith. He knew a great deal about the value and condition of our old piano and brought it "up to snuff" in one visit. Very polite, clean and professional.....will use him again and recommend him to my friends.

With the piano being 50 years old, I wasn't sure what to expect when he opened it for the first time. While a little dusty, Mr. Smith explained our options and made reasonable recommendations. We were both surprised by the condition of the piano (he let me know we made the right investment in buying it at the price we did). After nearly two hours of non-stop tuning and testing, Mr. Smith played a catchy little tune on the piano the piano, which was very pleasing to hear. I was extremely happy with his level of professionalism, his quote and his service. I plan to call on him again at the scheduled intervals he recommended.

He was incredible! Such a nice person...and so knowledgeable! He knew all about my piano and was able to tell me lots of great info. He is an accomplished pianist, and while tuning, I enjoyed his playing immensely! I can't believe what he was able to do with my piano; it sounds like it did when I purchased it 35 years ago!
