Installed HVAC system in new construction. I contacted the builder because it was freezing in the house and the downstairs thermostat didn’t seem to work. I hired a home inspector because I was suspicious. Found out that they had not installed ANY dampers in my house and the thermostat was just for show. The unit was running all day for a month before the owner of Phoenix heating and cooling came out. He pretended to go to the attic to look but came back saying that the dampers were back ordered because of Covid. He intentionally put no dampers in the house!!! I told him that he would have to pay for my electric bill and to get out of my house for lying to me. He yelled back “Call the city then!” and left my house slamming the door. It took another two weeks before his foreman came back and installed all the missing dampers. I would never do business with such a dishonest and unprofessional business again.

On the 14th of Oct i went to start up my heat for the first time of the year when i did i noticed that it was running yet i was not getting any heat and there was and awful burning smell like burning plastic, It was deff not the normal startup smell! i contacted my home owner insurance and the told me to get 3 estimates i contacted 2 of the local big name heating companies and their prices were very high and felt like i was getting the run around one told me that it was normal and it would go away and the other told me that my line was pinched and it was causing my system to over heat and that's what was causing it to have that Burning smell, I Am not an Heating and cooling expert but neither of these theories felt right to me so i Contacted my friend @ Allen Loree homes who recommended  Bruce @ Phoenix Heating and Cooling, I spoke to Bruce @ 9am on sat and he showed up about and hr later and took a look at the unit he was very through taking the unit apart and found that the burning smell was coming from the fan motor was starting to burn out. I told him what the other Two companies had said to me and he had my com up to the attic and showed me exactly what was wrong and what the problem was, I asked how much it would cost to fix, He told me he would have to contact the local supplier since it was a sat he had to call before noon he got all the information off the unit and even gave me a copy of it for my records, He contact the supply house only to find out they no longer make or carry replacement parts for that particular brand so he gave me a quote to replace the whole system which was very fair since the other 2 companies before him were much more than that. I gave all the information to my insurance company and they told me to go with Phoenix heating and cooling, I contacted Bruce and told him it was a go ahead to swap the system out and that tuesday morning @ 9am Bruce and his guy showed up and within i say 6 hrs they had swapped out my whole system removing the old one and not even so much as making a mess. I've never had to deal with this type of issue before but if i ever have another heating or cooling problem I will be calling Phoenix Heating and Cooling
Sincerely
