I paid $68 to have my yard picked up, mowed and trimmed. They picked up some, mowed okay, and trimmed some---not a good job at all.

Mark Newell is a man of his word. His team planted two pink dogwoods for me in the fall of 2020. One of the trees did not survive the winter, so I asked Mark to plant a replacement. He did not hesitate to do so, but suggested we wait till the fall of 2021 so the tree would stand a better chance of making it. His team came out and swapped out the dead tree. Would recommend Newell Lawn Service highly.

Finally .... a business that responds and attended to my yard work request in hours - not days. I spoke to two other business for this project - and one didn't respond, and one came and later said they were too busy. Mark Newell answered my call personally, came and looked at my property - worked with me to arrange the work and level of work - got it done in one day. His work force was polite and left my property clean and neat with all debris staged in the street as agreed. One of a few satisfying experiences I have had in the last few years when dealing with contractors. Thnks Mark.

Well, I would like this to be a vetted experience for Newell Lawn Service, First, the pitch was high pressure to attempt to get the work done quickly or that could be his demeanor, after the quote came there were extremely overpriced items on the quote and I had to go thru it with him after responding to the quote that items needed to be removed. The price was agreed upon and the original workmanship was very good, but they planted the wrong plants, I sent an e-mail but he did not respond until HomeAdvisor took my call, he told me he fell short on this job but was going to make it right so that day they came and planted the right plants and I thought okay were straight but that was not the end of it. I got his bill which was correct and saw that he only excepts Checks or Cash, so I can only assume once you pay you would have a hard time getting a refund or challenging his after the fact work. Now this is my view not necessary what would could happen but no where on the quote or during the conversation did he say he was a cash business. Most businesses you can go to the website and pay your bill with any form of payment. Not here, so just be aware of that when you take the job from Newell. I hope this reaches many of you as his work and follow thru is good but not forthcoming in a lot of respect. Oh and know they will be out at the crack of dawn to do the work so no sleeping past 7:30 am... which was not mentioned either. Good luck.

"Thanks for reaching out .. We appreciate having earned the relationship to do the work estimated. We know the David was very pleased when completed. Mark the owner met with him in person to assure that. David seemed concerned that we did not take credit cards after the work was completed and billed. We did a great estimate at 3% above costs . On any of the paper work he signed there was no where we stated we take credit cards or what type of cards we would take. Companies that use credit cards state that. We would hope that if there was a problem David would bring it up during the relationship building and estimate process. We offer many payment types. The most popular online banking done by 85% of are clients. We have agreed to two weeks of completion to pay invoice. We appreciate his concerns and value all relationships."

I didn't actually use the service but the customer service and energy put forth by this company is something deserving mention. Not only did the owner call me multiple times to discuss his quote but he wanted to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted out of that quote! I wish I could afford to just hire him for my regular lawn maintenance!!!
