MRO did a great job and, as I needed the computer fast, they cheerfully expedited the build and had me up and running in just a few days.  They didn't try to overcharge, they saved me money where they could, and gave great advice.  I will always buy my computers from them  The service at MRO is top notch, you will not find a more dedicated, knowledgeable, and cheerful group of folks anywhere.  If you need a computer, or computer support, this is the place to go!

I brought the laptop in on  Saturday, January 10 and was told the cost would be $180 to remove the virus and that the computer would be ready on Wednesday, January 14, 2015.
When I came in at 6:00 on Wednesday, they told me to come back in 20 minutes. I got a call at 6:15 saying it was not done and to come back another time. I asked if it could be ready by Friday so my daughter could study for the SAT's and take the online practice tests. He said they would "try their best."
It was not done until Tuesday, January 20, 2015.
When my daughter went to pick it up, they charged an extra $90.00 and said they did not back it up because her dad said there was not anything worth saving.
Fun fact: Her Dad is in a remote location overseas and the last thing he has to worry about is her computer. Not to mention it would have been 3:00 in the morning where he is located. They either confused it with another computer or completely falsified the information.
So, at the end of the day, I paid $300.00 to "repair" a computer that cost $400.00.
I paid $90.00 more than what they quoted, and it was almost a week past due.
I lost all the information on the computer and have to reinstall all of the programs. Had I known they were just going to re set it to the factory settings, I could have done it myself--- or hired the 8-year-old next door. Or a monkey in the zoo.
I was better off with the virus.

"We are deeply disturbed by this review as it does not at all agree with the customer's invoice # 24598. Her total bill was $186.00 The laptop was brought in on Saturday the 10th of January at 10:35am and had an expected due date of 16 January. The customer made a $95.00 deposit via credit card. As we always discuss with customers, removing viruses can result in the operating system becoming corrupted. This system had over 1,600 malware and viruses. We called the customer on the 14th to let them know that we needed to back up their data and reload the windows. Invoice 24598 notes provided also to customer (AFTER VIRUS REMOVAL SYSTEM IS DISPLAYING ORIGINAL SYMPTOMS WITH REGARD TO REDIRECTS AND POPUPS INDICATING OPERATING SYSTEM CORRUPTIONS RELATIVE TO VIRUS INFECTION. CLIENT APPROVED DATA BACKUP) We gave the customer a $14.00 discount on the virus removal, did not charge or bill any extra labor to reload her windows. Backing up the data user account, (school work and pictures) is normally $65.00, as she had 7.12GB of data, we billed only $40.00. We also installed Avast antivirus (free version) and Malwarebytes (free version). Again, customer's total bill was $186,00 as she paid $91.00 at pickup on 20 January at 5:05 pm. We always show customers their data. We always inform that reloading the operating system results in customers having to reload their programs. We also explain in writing on the work order which she signed, to confirm she was informed and explained. Finally, we never received a call to say she didn't have her data or she was not happy with our work. If the customer still needs her data, MRO normally retains for 30 days in case customers accidentally delete theirs by mistake. Bring in a USB Flash drive with at least 7.7GB free space and we again will transfer to your drive at no cost to you. We have always received the highest marks on Angie's list and our MRO Facebook pages. Thank you, Michael G. Barnes, President, MRO Computers & Astronomy, LLC."

In one respect he does a good job building a new computer for you. He is very accessible and willing to spend time on the phone with you for no charge; he understands that you will need to call him for advice after he builds a computer for you.  My criticism is that it is expensive to take your computer in for repairs.  He told us that instead of spending money on the computer we have, we should invest in a new computer.  He has a menu of fees and he doesn’t fix anything for free or give you price breaks.  This new computer that we bought is set up for high speed internet but we have dial-up and he said he would switch it over for $10.  Then we had trouble connecting to or printer and he said it would be $75 to make it compatible.  It gets expensive because he doesn’t hesitate to add fees.  He is just so nice and accessible over the phone, but you are going to pay if he touches your computer.  We really like the computer that he built for us.

MRO provided a fair and reasonable price estimate on the computer (perhaps a little high, but it was a custom job built to specs, and was built to support my requirements). The computer was ready for pick-up two days earlier than originally promised, which was good. MRO took me though some of the new software features, making sure I understood everything -- which is something I've never experienced before with Gateway or Dell technical support. I had a little issue with the power settings (i.e., when the system goes into hibernation mode), but MRO took the time to educate me (it was ignorance on my part). Since then, the system has been absolutely reliable. Bottom line -- I don't anticipate using any other provider but MRO for my computer needs.

I talked to them a few different times, and they were patient in explaining everything to me. They also finished a day early. I have nothing but praise for this company. It still made a little bit of noise when I got it back, which was one of my original concerns. I called and spoke to the owner, and he gave me a 90 day warranty.

We called Jeremy @ MRO computers and asked when he could come to the office to help us install a new computer on our network. He set an appointment and arrived on time. He spent about a hour trouble shooting and downloading drivers. He double checked to make sure everything was working properly

They got the computer back up and running quickly , efficiently and it only took about 2 days to get it done. They had a knowledgeable staff that knew what they were doing. The people at the store were polite and very professional.
