MONTAGUE HEATING & COOLING

I would not recommend Montague Heating and Cooling. He was assigned by my warranty company to fix a cooling issue I was having. I got the impression that he didn't want to do the job in the first place and he barely returned my calls. I had to keep calling to get status updates on part orders and schedule details. After waiting for the parts to be reordered because they weren't picked up after a 10 day waiting period he had to reorder them. That increased the time that it took to replace the system. He quoted me over $3000 to install a duct and I said that was to much so I wanted to coordinate that part of the job to a contractor. He failed to mention that also included the electrical connections until he already had the AC Unit and Air Handler in place. When I brought this up he got defensive and got in his truck and left before I could offer to pay him for the rest of the installation. My biggest issues were that he didn't care about the job or his customer, he didn't communicate well enough for us to work something out, and he tried to compensate himself for doing a job covered by a warranty by overcharging.

We kept having standing water in our water pan, which another company had told us that we needed to move the drain line ( the drain line that had been there since the house was built over 20 years ago by the way) in order to allow it to drain, which would cost us over $300. Montague came out and immediately spotted the problem which was very simple to fix and didn't require any of the things the other company had said we needed to do which included cutting the drain line from the unit, moving it closer to our back door where we spent time sitting and would have required drilling through our wall, installation and brick which the line would have been visible on the outside but the guy said he would wrap it though.... ugh! I knew in my gut he was just trying to get work/money out of us, so I told him we couldn't afford it at that time. Montague was great, the problem was a simple fix and we haven't had a problem since. We highly recommend them!

 The technicians that came out were very professional and nice.  Everyone had a job and performed that job extremely well.  This great example of team work allowed the new system to be operational in just 2 to 3 hours.  They were there on the job and didn't leave until everything was completed.  They cleaned up the work site as well.  Harry was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to do business with.  He went the extra mile for us and we greatly appreciated it.  This unit was installed at my Mom's house.  When my husband and I need one installed, we will be using Montague Heating and Cooling again for ours.  Thanks guys for a job well done!!

We were referred to Montague by our home warranty company.  Phone calls were all promptly returned.  Free estimate on replacing system was supplied, even though they were only there to do a repair (of our 19 year old system).  Very professional, courteous, kept house and year clean of dirt and debris.  On time.. on budget.  Will be using them for our annual check ups and will recommend them if someone is looking for this kind of work.

I made a phone call and set an appointment.They responded on time.In very short order they diagnosed and replaced the failed part.They also ran some other tests to make sure there wasn't anything else that could be an issue.They got it fixed, I paid them and they were off to the next call.They know what they are doing!

It went Excellent.
Showed up on time for the estimate.
Estimate was within the ballpark of the other 4 estimates.
Showed up on installation date, worked through lunch and finished in one day.
Workmanship was very good, cleaned up and removed old system parts and new system packaging.
It was a pleasure having someone do what they say, show up on time and do the work as proposed.
Very personable father and son team.
