Mr. Maxwell was very creative with his designs and prompt with his work.  His workers were very courteous while they were working on my house.  The plans that Mr. Maxwell came up with were great and he had large charts and drawings to show me his ideas.  The patio turned out great and everything is level again.  Very happy with their work.

It went very well. They came in when they said they would and the crew was very cordial. They got their work done and they cleaned up after themselves. The landscape designer came out to check on several occasions to see how the trees were doing. Their follow up was great and they're still doing that.

We worked with Dee West, one of Maxwell's designers. I sent an email to various landscape companies within the area in order to get an estimate. Dee was the first to respond the following day (it took several days for the other companies to respond). I called her that same morning and she worked her schedule to come by our home that same afternoon. We discussed some of our desires for the outdoor plan. Dee was extremely frank and honest, and completely professional. She let us know what would work and what would be a waste of our money. She was great and letting us know what was within the realm of possible (and longevity), especially within our budget. She also explained what portions of the job could be either DIY or they could perform. We were so comfortable with her honest and straightforward approach that we hired her that same afternoon with a 50% deposit. Dee made several visits over the next couple of weeks, often bringing other landscape experts for advice. We sat with her to discuss the initial draft. She not only had the design draft, but also had taken pictures of our home and superimposed pictures of landscape projects into them to give us a feel of what the final product would look like. We made some minor changes and within a week, we had our final design. She was extremely helpful at pointing out which projects we could easily tackle on our own in order to save money and which projects definitely require a professional. We are extremely happy with our plan and cannot wait to begin putting it into action.

Excellent. We have used many of the big name landscapers in Hampton Roads over the years, and Bill Maxwell is simply the best. Our experience with his plantings have been outstanding- not only does the work look good, but the plants remain healthy over the years and progress more rapidly than any other landscapers plantings we have used. The grounds are always immaculate when they leave and any newly planted areas actually look neater and more maintained than when they arrived; unlike the mess that is often left by other contractors when the project is "completed". There are never any surprises, and the work begins when it is scheduled. Bill is unbelievably knowledgeable about what works in this area and runs the best and most professional landscaping service in Hampton Roads.

This was pretty general landscaping and they did an excellent job on spacing the shrubs and the trees out. It looked real good when they were finished. We had a pretty large front yard so I thought the price was pretty reasonable. The men that did the job were very polite and helpful on everything and we laid out the design together.
