Litman Landscaping provided an outstanding experience, from first contact through completion. Benji was honest and knowledgeable. He offered some great ideas which we implemented as part of the job. He worked very hard and the results speak volumes. We plan on using him regularly for all of our landscaping needs and recommend him highly.

I switched to Litman Landscaping about six weeks ago. Wish I had done it much sooner. My yard looks so much better. They come every week when they are supposed to and do a fantastic job.

When I initially contact Benjie through email he responded very quickly. We setup a time for him to come and look at yard for an estimate. He was on time and very courteous. I scheduled appointment and he did not put me off for weeks, he was able to schedule me very quickly. The day of the appointment, he call to see if it was a good time, since it was around the holidays. He was punctual and started work. Once he was done, I went to see what had been done, everything look great but it was a couple of additional things I also wanted done. He had no problem with addressing them very quickly and completed the job. i was very please and happy with work done. He did not take all day. I schedule for him to come back a do yard work once grass starts coming back. Very Happy!

"I remember doing your yard several weeks ago and we put a fine edge on it. Id like to add that your grass was over a foot tall. Your yard was hideous. Your gate was terrible and if it was broken we didn't do it. We did quality work for you and I stand by it. I don't appreciate you giving me an unfairly negative review without even calling me. I'm always happy to help a customer who wants something done differently. because of people like you I no longer offer my paid by the hour discount service. I gave you a good deal I did a good job and I even worked longer than you paid just to make it look good. It is unfortunate that I wasted time out of my day to serve you. I can only assume you wrote this review hoping I'd do something free for you so that you would take it down, Well that won't be happening. I was there doing this work for you with my one employee so I know the job was done right."

"You gave me a 30 dollar tip because you said we did a great job. You got a great deal for the work that was done but your yard was in very bad shape and it isn't my fault that it doesn't look perfect. It would take thousands of dollars to fix your yard you bought a 300 dollar coupon and now months later your slandering my good name on Angie list? I never tried to sell you anything you didn't need I was only trying to give you the most I could with what you gave me. Also just because it took 2 weeks to get to you during the busiest time of year doesn't mean I was 2 weeks late, I have a schedule and other people besides you are on it. I am sorry for your dissatisfaction but it was never expressed to me."

SOMETHING SUSPICIOUS & UNPROFESSIONAL: When I first contacted Benji about his services I should have known from then not to use his services because he complained about having to come to my area (even though through Angie's List & his website it said services are offered in my area) and also about using Angie's List since he would not get the full amount. On the day of service he showed up 25 minutes late and then quoted me way too high for the work that needed to be performed. While yard work was being completed him and his partner kept whispering the whole time. His partner even offered to power wash my house saying that it's a job he does on the side...when I asked how much he had the audacity to say $400 and when I told him that's crazy because I got a company to do it before for under $150, with an attitude he told me "Well get them to do it for you then!" When I asked them to move the branches, weeds, etc. that they pulled from in front my neighbors yard (because I scheduled for the city to pick it up the next day) that seemed to upset them and they started whispering again. When I asked for a receipt I was told "No I don't give receipts, it's all informal" but later that day I asked for an electronic receipt. Yes the job was done but I believe they rushed through it and what they did to my yard did not look any thing like the well manicured lawns I saw on their website. Whatever they sprayed to kill the weeds ended up killing parts of my yard. It's been over a month now and around all the edges of my house and fence has dead grass. A few days ago I found his card in my mailbox but there is no way I would trust these guys again.

"I don't really know how to reply to this review without seeming rude, but everything you have said about me is ridiculous. let me first say that absolutely no dissatisfaction was ever expressed to me in any way other than the price I quoted you which you agreed to. there was no complaining on my part about you being far from my service area I only told you I needed to do it on a day when I would be in the area for something else. I cannot drive all over town every day, non local jobs have to be done when I can group them together for cost effectiveness. angies list does not allow me to divide Chesapeake and although I live in Chesapeake it happens to be a big city and I am a small business and I don't have a website to say otherwise. I provided you a receipt for the 250 dollar job not 300 I did not say no. my employee and I whispering? are you kidding? we do talk to each other and joke around as we are buddies, please forgive us. your house was dirty and needed pressure washed and I give those jobs to my employee because he has a pressure washer and what he quoted you has nothing to do with litman landscaping although for a 2 story house his price was fair in my opinion and he was not being rude when he said to use the other person, I was there, your only trying to make me look bad. im so sorry your yard didn't look like the well manicured yards you saw in my photos but you don't have a nice yard and I did what I could with 250 dollars to make it look better. your grass looked like it hadn't even been edged the whole year so I edged it for you as a bonus. it also had not been weedeated so I did that and asked if you wanted me to kill the grass around your house and fence so you wouldn't have to weedeat and you said yes. I literally sprayed it with you standing beside me and you had no complaints then, why now? you found my card in your mailbox did you? I never put anything in your mailbox."

After purchasing the Big Deal on Angie's list I found out from Litman Landscaping that their focus and primary work area of Chesapeake is in Western Branch. I had purchased the deal for work to be done in the Great Bridge area of Chesapeake. I have to say they honored the deal and from what my mother-in -law tells me they did a fine job. They arrived on time and completed the work as promised. She was very happy!

I first contacted Benji after moving in to a rental home. The previous two tenants and property manager failed to upkeep the grounds. I messaged Benji via Angie's list in the morning and by time I took my lunch break I had a reply from him on Angie's list, my email, as well as a phone message letting me know he had heard from me and that he would be available to do an estimate whenever I liked. I scheduled the estimate for landscaping as well as regular lawn mowing and Benji showed up early. Benji walked around the property with me and talked about all that needed to be done. He even pointed out a way to save me money (having the county pick up the yard debris because they do so for free once a month vice him having to charge me to haul it away). We agreed to the price to do all the work necessary for the front yard for $400. We set a date for a few weeks later and at the end of the week before the scheduled work day he called and verified our plans. The day of the job he was at the house bright and early (before 0730). He brought two helpers and the worked all morning long. When he was finished he sent me a text letting me know he was done and to let him know what I thought when I got home. When I got home he had the yard debris neatly bagged on the curb out of the way ready for the county to pick up the next morning. The yard was beautiful. All the bushes were trimmed nice,neat and uniformed. He had pulled out all the dead plants and trees. The edging was crisp, and the flowers beds weeded and fresh mulch neatly laid. The work site was neat, no mess, no dirt everywhere or mulch all over the yard which I was very thankful for. As far as the lawn service it is just as great, very clean and no mess. I would highly recommend Benji because he is a very polite and honest guy to work with.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for two hours of yard clean up. I got much, much more than that. Litman Landscaping is awesome. We bought our house in November, and the yard needs serious help. Since meeting Benji, all the pine straw and branches littering my backyard since who knows when have been picked up, we've started replacing my fence (the front portion was finished just today, and I'm *so* happy with it), and we'll be talking about fixing drainage issues and then some landscaping. In the meantime, they're doing yard maintenance - the prices is extremely reasonable considering how much they do.
Benji is very personable, and very knowledgeable.I look forward to a long business relationship with Litman Landscaping.

We cannot be happier with the services provided by Benji! He was here promptly, worked incredibly hard and finished the job all in one day! I wish I had taken pictures of my yard before he started. We now have over 40 bags of pine straw waiting for pickup all of which was all over my front yard, in my flowerbeds and in my backyard! He was very polite and courteous. We have contracted him to continue our lawn services throughout the rest of the year. We hope to have him replace our flowerbeds in the fall.

They do outstanding work. I lost the person who used to mow my lawn and they came to my rescue very quickly. Then they were also able to provide landscaping that does not need a lot of work. They are prompt, are there when they say they will be there. I have asked them to return next year when the grass comes back. Highly recommend!

He is young, talented, respectful, polite and professional. He covers the Norfolk/Chesapeake/Suffolk/Portsmouth areas. I highly recommend him because he made a world of difference for my yard. When he does landscaping his family has a nursery, so he gets the plants and flowers wholesale rather than paying the big store prices. I would recommend him to anybody. He is my go-to yard guy from now on, I feel so blessed to have found him.
