I called five different companies from Angie's List to try to get work done quickly and comprehensively. Most companies couldn't fit the timeline or didn't understand what I was asking of them and tried to charge me way too much. Not only did this company call me back quickly, but they were extremely accommodating with my busy schedule. They charged me a reasonable amount for the work I needed done. They were able to come out on the weekend and do the inspection. The owner said he would personally come out himself on Sunday if he did not have anyone available on Saturday. Highly recommended!

After providing a good price and suggesting a few improvements they did the work quickly.  When testing afterwards we had a problem where my generator's GFI breaker kept tripping the moment we put a any load on.  He came back later at no charge with his own generator to test, and his worked fine.  I did further research on line and determined my generator had a more unusual neutral bond connection internal, in combination with the main GFI, and that it wouldn't work without some modification to the electrician's work.  He came back and did it a no charge, even with my offering to pay him, since it was an unusual situation and not like he messed up.  He has also installed a special generator digital power meter in my panel that I supplied.  Very friendly and professional.

Ted, Eddie and their crew did a very nice job in doing the required electrical mods needed for our kitchen remodel. They were always there for us to answer our questions and did good, timely work.

The ccmpany was quick to respond to my inquiry. They scheduled the job relatively quickly and did a nice job. The electrician was knowledgable and professional.

I called to request a quote for service and Eddie returned my calls very sooner after. We arranged to start the work the following week. The contractor didn't start on the scheduled date, but they gave me plenty of notice of the change, and they were very flexiable on scheduling a new start date. I was most impressed when I asked the company to do some addition work, and they didn't attempt to take advantage of my request. Although I'll have to go back to fill in more dirty in the trenches, the guys did a great job on the electrical work, at a great price. I would recommend these guys to my own mother.

This company is professional, reliable and they do what they say they're going to do and they do it well. That's unusual enough it's worth commenting on. We recently built our home and have dealt with enough contractors to recognize an excellent company when we see one. We wouldn't even consider calling anyone else and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asked.

Worth noting as well, during our most recent project, many of the decisions regarding how many outlets, lights etc were made that day on the spot. No estimate had been given in advance regarding that part of the work. We had only gotten an estimate on the cost to run a power line out to the building. This could be prime territory for an unethical contractor to take advantage and gouge because we obviously wanted the work done and they're there to do it, would we really turn them away? Would we even know if they charged more than they usually would? Kuhlman's charge was reasonable and didn't fluctuate even after we made a few minor changes...

Work was completed faster than I expected and was under estimated cost. Very pleased with all aspects of the work, from estimation to installation to cleanup. Wholeheartedly recommend this company!

As usual Ed Kuhlman completed a perfect job. I have used Ed 10+ times over the last 4 years. He has added wall plugs, installed fans, installed outside motion lights, installed new door bells and readied the circuit breaker box for a generator. Ed is always prompt, professional, fast and cleans up perfectly afterwards. He stands behind his work and his prices are reasonable. I would recommend with out hesitation.

I made the decision to hire Ted Kuhlman when he and I got into a discussion about business philosophy. He had stopped by my house to evaluate a project that I had in mind, and we got to talking out on the back porch. He said he was looking to hire another electrician for his company (a good sign, especially in a weak economy), adding that there were "lots of guys out of work" but they weren't good enough for him. He was looking for someone who not only knows wiring - "that's the easy part", he explained - but also someone who "knows how to treat the customer." My instincts told me this was the guy to hire; it was a good choice. Ted and two helpers arrived exactly as schedule just a few days later and finished all of their work (except for the roof antenna) in just a few hours. They were prompt, courteous, and technically savvy, and cleaned up well after their work. The roof antenna was a tricky project, and Ted had to do some research on how to solve the problem; he took care of the whole project precisely as he anticipated and slighly ahead of schedule (the special supplies he found and ordered actually arrived sooner than expected). Ted is not only a terrific electrician, but also the kind of person most people would be proud to call a friend. When I needed an accountant, I called Ted for a referral - I knew he wouldn't steer me wrong - he's that kind of a guy. Many years ago, while in college, I worked as an assistant to an electrician, and learned quite a bit. As a result, I like to pay close attention to the small details of how electricians work - like the sequence of light switches in a multiple switch setup, or the location of switches and outlets. Do the location and layout make ergonomic sense? Are these guys adept at the subtleties of ergonomics and design? These are the sort of things that lazy or inexperienced electricians don't do well. In this regard, as with everything else, Kuhlman Electric gets my highest rating. They know their stuff, and do it right. I have specifically omitted commentary about the cost of Ted's work for various reasons. My guess is that he will not be the lowest bidder on most jobs - his quality is so darned good that it wouldn't make sense to me if he was worried about trying to beat the competition on price. If your are worried about price, especially for a big job, you should always get multiple quotes - just make sure that the quotes you get are for the actual job to be done. A good electrician will tell you if there is a flaw in your project plan, which may require more (or less) work than you anticipate. Even if Kuhlman Electric comes out as the highest bidder, I would certainly not rule them out - they are certainly worth paying a little extra for their work. I give Kuhman Electric five out of five stars. Bravo!

The follow-up was awesome. They did everything well. I will be using them in a couple of weeks.

Cost was exactly as estimated. Returned my initial call the same day and called prior to coming to the house. Was in and out quickly, and cleaned up well.

They took the time to clean up the work areas and made sure to receive my inputs. There was not anything I could ad. It was AWESOME. Will definitely use their services again.

Eddie and I talked on Thursday, and he came by on Friday. He was there on time and finished very quickly.

I wanted an outdoor electrical outlet in the front of my house to plug in decorations and yard tools. I also had a malfunctioning fluorescent light fixture in my garage I needed fixed. I called Kuhlman, and they said they could come right over. I was at work, so we agreed on a meet up time, and they were there as scheduled. Teddy and his assistant did the work, asking where the best place was for my needs, then using the right outlet inside the house to tie the external outlet into. They also quickly diagnosed the problem with the light fixture and replaced the ballast with a heavier-duty one. They cleaned up as necessary.
