KBM ORIGINALLY OPENED ITS DOORS WITH 5 EMPLOYEES INCLUDING A MANAGER, 2 TRUCK DRIVERS, 1 YARD MAN AND 1 OFFICE CLERK. INCOMING STOCK WAS DELIVERED IN BOXCARS AND UNLOADED BY HAND. NO FORKLIFTS IN THOSE DAYS! WE NOW PROUDLY SERVICE THE HAMPTON ROADS AREA WITH OVER 200 EMPLOYEES, A FLEET OF TRUCKS AND OF COURSE MANY FORKLIFTS. OUR DESIRE TO BETTER SERVICE THE COMMUNITY LED US TO ADD AN ADDITIONAL 45 ACRE FACILITY IN CHESAPEAKE.

Replacement windows were ordered for a restoration project and evidently arrived broken or was broken at their warehouse. It took an additional two weeks to replace the broken glass at their facility in Chesapeake. The office staff is poorly organized and managed. "It required contacting corporate to motivate them".

The windows were very expensive, so I wanted this done right. They were conscious of my concerns and seemed to put in an extra effort. I was impressed with their work ethic and attention to detail. There were a few measuring problems, but that was ironed out relatively fast. It took about a week to do this and the end product was very satisfactory.

Kempsville Building Materials did all the insulation in my home. Where I had a problem was in the attic. It should have been about an R-50, and they had it at about an R-25. Their work was nice, but I would not hire them again. This was covered under my warranty.
