"Thank you for the great report!"
"This customer failed to comply with the terms of the Big Deal. The deal was for 4 mowings and the yard must have been regularly maintained prior to the start of the service. That was not the case when we first mowed this yard. It took my crew almost 2 hours due to the excessive lenght in the grass (10-12"), we removed 20 bags of grass clippings from the back yard alone. Customer also failed to ensure the large gate was open so we could get equipment into the back yard (in fact the large gate was nailed shut). Customer was notified of the issue after the firs mow and told we would come back one more time she used 3 of the mowing on the fist visit. Customer has never called or e-mailed since. Another reason why we do not offer BIG DEALS on Angie's List."
"Thank you for the great report!"
"Job was done in 2011 and it was a half off big deal through Angie's List, so why the grade of "B" in price?"
"At not time did this customer notify us in advance of the challenging parking situation at his property. We had to make a trip there first to find out, first with my lawn crew and second, myself, to see what the situation was. Originial attempt to provide service was cancelled last minute by customer due to city road work. We we attempted to provide the service at a later date, when we found parking to be impossible. Customer was notified via e-mail and phone in a timely matter that there was no parking available within blocks of his residence to provide the mowing service he had purchased via the Big Deal. I explained to the owner that we have a large commerical truck with a 16' trailer with lawn equipment and his location does not provide parking for us. Customer was refunded in full by Angie's List. There is no justification for the grade of D! This customer had purchased a Big Deal that was for 4 mowings at $99. This company no longer offers any Big Deals on Angie's List because of this type of unfair reporting we receive. If this was such a important issue with this customer, why is the report being submitted in late October?"
"This person was not the customer. She is the daughter/step dauther of the customer. Her report is false and unfair and shoudl be removed by Angie's List. She did not pay for or have final authorization for this job. The plant in question should not have been replaced because it was determined that there was not proper post planting care given. The soild around the plant was dry, indicating there was no irrigation. There as no pre-project drawing because there was no request for one and it wan't until the last moment when plant choices were made by the owner. And has I listed in a previous respone to anothe report, why is it over 3 months later that this report is posted. The landscape we installed looks great, was below estimated cost and the OWNER (not this woman), loved it and was very pleased with our work (as were many neighbors)."
"This person was not the customer. She is the daughter/step dauther of the customer. Her report is false and unfair and shoudl be removed by Angie's List. She did not pay for or have final authorization for this job. This perons has no knowledge or experience with landscaping or grounds maintenance. Applying topsoil to the existing grown is preparing the ground for the new sod. The problems with this job and the other was that she was constantly changing the plans and was almost impossible to communicate with. Since her parents were out of town, she relayed information between us, resulting in missed information and poor communication. Again, the homeowner, who had final authorization and paid for this job, was very satisfied with the job and should be putting in this report. This member is not authorized to report on this company since she did not have the authority to higher or pay for services. I personally view this landscape job just a few weeks ago and it looks excellent. Want to see it for yourself? Contact this company and we will be happy to show it to you. It is one of our best jobs and largest jobs to date. And we did it for far less money than any other company they was asked to provide and estimate."
"Thank you for the nice report. It is a pleasure to take care of your lawn."
"This customer lied about the size of his property. It was in excess of 7,000 sq feet. He was notified when he purchased the coupon through Angie's List and verbally from me that if the property he had described to me exceeded 5,000 sq feet there woudl be additional charges. He stated it did not. He was notified on the day we aerated that the property exceeded the limits of the coupon and was billed appropriately. Additionally, this coupon was for a single residential address but upon arriving at the property we saw that it was in fact 2 addresses and appeared to be used for commercial ventures. This customer, after that fact, stated we should have come out and looked at the property before we did the job. Really? There was no reason to do so, since the coupon was very explicit and if he wanted an on-site visit before hand, he would have had to pay additionally for that since the coupon did not provide for one. We should have just walked away from the property then, seeing all the signs of a customer trying to pull one over on us. Instead we choose to meet our commitment under the coupon purchased. The yard was completely and properly aerated to the extent it could be done. The yard had numerous trees which had shallow roots preventing aeration near them. The property also had large areas of hardscape and fencing that also prevent aeration near them. Starting with his reply to our emailed invoice for the authorized additonal charge, this customer has been nothing but rude and disrespectful to us. Which is why we have not replied to him and have forwarded his e-mails to Angie's List for them to resolve. Additionally, this customer is the reason why this company will no longer offer any deals on Angie's List. We do quality work and will not be treated like this by customers who refuse to pay us fairly."
"Thank you for the great report. You are one of the best Angie's List customers we have."

"Thank your for the great report. Standing by to fill-in during his next deployment. I know how he feels, when I returned from my last deployment I wanted mow my own yard too :)"
"This report is unfair and unfounded. This has to be about another company. I have NEVER received an e-mail from this customer, I do have a record of 8 e-mails that I have sent in the last 5 months. We have had only a handfull of phone conversations and a couple inperson and she has never mentioned any e-mails that she has sent. The last phone call I received from this customer was on 7/5/12 and I answered it. It was concerning mowing for that week, which due to dry conditions in her yard, we did not mow (there was no significant grass growth) and she was not charged. When she was informed of this she was pleased. She has not discussed anything with me about weeding, though I did just spray her beds and hardscape for weeds on 7/18/12. I personally answer all e-mails within 1 business day of receiving and do the same with all phone messages. Test me. My number is 757-630-4122 and e-mail is [email protected]. Call me, send me an e-mail and see how quickly I (the owner) get back to you."
"THANK YOU!!! Customers like you are great to have."
"Thank you! Standing by to take over your husband's mowing duties next spring."
"This job was done 17 Feb 2012. Nothing was growning then and any weeds that may have come up after then were lying dormat during the job. Customer was informed that she would need to regularly weed/spray to maintain the beds. It should be noted that we have not done any maintenance and are confident that the customer has not done anything to maintain the landscape during the last 5 months. Which may explain why the report is just now making it to Angie's List. She was give a written estimate, breaking down the labor, plant and mulch costs. The labor costs are tied to the job, not the number or people or days it took to complete. It took 2 full days. Also the written estimate was revised by over $400 to meet her budget. After accepting the estimate she tried to force us to do additional work involving her trees, even insinuating failure on our part to do what she wanted done would result in a bad report. Also fearing non-payment, I agreed to take down one small tree and remove a bush and reduce the final bill by $150 so she could hire a stump grinder for the tree stump. Payment was due on receipt but took 3 weeks to arrive. To prove my honesty, I will gladly share all e-mail, estimatates and invoices dealing whith this customer. Almost 3 months after the job was completed, I replaced 6 plants that died due to her failure to water. The dirt in the bed where these plants were was hard as rock with no sign of irrigation being done. To date she has not paid for the replacement plants/labor. We guarantee our plants for 1 year if they are properly cared for. CONTRACTORS, stay away from this customer, she will twist things around until she gets every thing she wants and won't pay for it. Don't fall victum to her like I did."
"Numerous attempts to contact the purchaser of this coupon were unsuccesful. Customer failed to comply with the coupon requirements and fine print. Property exceeded size alloted by coupon. Coupon was for regularly maintained lawns, this lawn was not, there was no existing knife edging or edging of any kind and it appeared to have been weeks since it was last mowed. Additionally, the customer did not ensure the yard was free of debris, pet waste and toys and did not notify us of pre-existing issues with wet areas or about a pet wandering free on the property (which became a hazard to mowing crew). The area in their report was only about 2 feet long in a back corner of the property and we offered to come out and fill in once yard was dry enough to work in. The only contact we had with this customer ws through a very rude phone call from her spouse who declined our offer to repair and stated they would have another company mow. We also offered a refund but never received an e-mail back from the actual person who purchased the Big Deal."
"Thank you very much for the great report! Out motto is "Improving the landscape of Hampton Roads, one yard at a time" and hope we can help some of your neighbors "keep up with the you"."
