I met with the owner of the company to discuss what I wanted done and agreed to the one year contract of service. During the first meeting, the home inspector for my refi arrived and started his inspection. Well, I didnt want to be rude and cut the guy off, but the inspection was important to me, and the landscaper and I had pretty much covered what we needed to, but he really did monopolize my time by talking about his prior military service. Later that year, the tone of that slightly odd interaction made more sense when the guy was borderline aggressive when I talked to him about a point of the service. My issue was the speed at which they did my yard. They used riding power mowers and routinely ran into parts of the house and damaged the trim and corners of my house.

Minmal runs of aerator produced less plugs than expected. OW they delivered their service on time, wo problems. It was long ago and I do not recall the price or details... I did it before and do it my self for now.

They stole my bushes!! What happened was totally not expected, they just took it all! Now my house looks horrible, the title of the ad said "curb appeal", it was the opposite. When I called to see what happened, they treated me like I was stupid for calling them, and like I should thank them for doing more work than we agreed. Horrible, just horrible!!

They do wonderful work. Always prompt, responsive and are reasonably priced. We are charged $45.00 per mowing, plus $3.00 per bag of lawn clippings since we like grass to be bagged. They always advise me by email regarding any changes of schedule or if they have any concerns and are always prompt in responding to any concerns we may have. Initially we were only going to use the service for a period of time when my husband was recuperating from surgery. We are so pleased with their work, we plan on continuing our relationship with their company.

We noticed after using their service for several weeks that we had bald places in the lawn. We later realized that it was in fact being caused by the type of mower they used, the wheels would pull the grass out on hard turns. They provide a good service for the price, just doesn't work for my lawn.

"A "B" for a price on a 75% of consult...really? Another reason why we don't offer "cheap" Big Deals. Just because the consult is inexpensive doesn't mean the work is going to be 75% off also. Contractors, stay away from the Big Deals, they just mislead the customers."

I thought K&J Lawn and Garden Service LLC were really rushed. They were not professional. I think their pricing is average for this area but I would never pay them again. They are always on time.

Like many contractors in this "speciality", Kregg is more talk than action. We started out with putting down new mulch ($1,000.00.) Part of this deal was that the bushes would be trimmed and the weeds pulled/killed. The bushes weren't trimmed until after the mulch was in-place and within a week the weeds were back. Each week the weeds in the flower beds were to be sprayed or pulled. This started out okay put gradually got worse through the season. If the weeds were being dealt with once a month at the end that was frequent. Late in the season I had to go through our drive-thru gate in our fence. I noticed that two of the hinges on one of the gates were broken and that a couple of the aluminum uprights were bent. I approached Kregg a couple of weeks later when I saw him. He denied damaging the fence and refused to pay for the damage. Since he was the only one taking equipment through the gate, his attitude really set me on edge. The gate is always closed and is never allowed to swing freely. I would strongly recommend against using K&J!

They were so fast and did everything very efficiently. I had no problems at all. They planted fall and summer annuals for a reasonalble additional fee along with mulching and it was always a delight to come home to a colorful yard with the canging of the seasons. It was a very good company and I'll miss them.

They were horrible. I got this thing online for yard work and they came the first time and they did great. The second time they came out I came home and there was nothing done in the backyard. I contacted them and got an email back saying that they only did the front yard because the gate to the back was locked so they could not get in to the back yard. Which was untrue. They were able to get to the back yard the first time they came out. They never came back and then tried saying that I had redeemed it too late. When I called the gentlemen to schedule the work originally, he said I had four visits. They tried saying I actually used it before redeeming it. They never called and I never got a refund, nothing. They had a four man crew to do the yard which I usually do myself. The first time they came out they were done within a half hour. They also said my yard takes longer than the allotted time and they also said my yard was not maintained well enough. Prior to that their reviews were good so maybe they got overwhelmed with the special. They said basically it was the clients fault that they didn't finish everything. I tried calling them and left messages, and I also email them.

"This customer failed to comply with the terms of the Big Deal. The deal was for 4 mowings and the yard must have been regularly maintained prior to the start of the service. That was not the case when we first mowed this yard. It took my crew almost 2 hours due to the excessive lenght in the grass (10-12"), we removed 20 bags of grass clippings from the back yard alone. Customer also failed to ensure the large gate was open so we could get equipment into the back yard (in fact the large gate was nailed shut). Customer was notified of the issue after the firs mow and told we would come back one more time she used 3 of the mowing on the fist visit. Customer has never called or e-mailed since. Another reason why we do not offer BIG DEALS on Angie's List."

It was a very hard job to do the right front flower bed which is located between the house's cement apron & the sidewalk, approx. 3 1/2 ft wide by 25 ft. long. It was filled with irises that had been growing there for 25+ years. They had to be hoed & shoveled out! - long hard job. After cleaning that up, he & his helper cleaned out the back bed, which was set up like the front one.
They then replace the lost dirt & planted plants. Next they expanded the flower beds on the left front & around center lawn light pole. Then filled both with new plants.
What a difference this all made to the apperance of the house from the street!
