This painter started, but has yet to satisfactorily finish painting my home. He missed large areas of my home, did not clean my home properly, and did not remove gutters to paint under them. I have called him repeatedly to resolve the poor workmanship, but he continues to avoid my phone calls! I gave him months to start my job due to other work he was involved with, and weather issues and he has repaid my extreme patients with sub standard workmanship! I have won a judgment in the court of Chesapeake, VA but he still has not paid me anything. The photoes show the poor coverage caused by poor workmanship using extremely expensive Sherman Williams paint. Do not hire this company or this man (Rick Winters). Glenn R

I first meet Rick, last year, when he was hired to repaint the interior of a home we were renting.  He was professional, punctual, and did an outstanding job.  My husband and I recently purchased our first home together, and the interior paint was a bit too bold for our tastes.  Not only that, but it was obvious the previous owners had painted the interior themselves and had made numerous mistakes. We received a fair quote from Rick and as soon as we had closed he began meticulously repainting our home.   The transformation is mind blowing.  Rick is willing to go the extra mile to ensure the job is perfect and exactly as you want it.  Our home looks brand new.  We plan to rehire Rick in the near future to repaint our exterior shutters and later the two bedrooms we left this time.  Do yourself a favor and hire this guy!

Rick and his crew are really great to work with.  Rick is very professional, and wants to be sure that you are informed about everything before he starts.  And he keeps in contact daily during the course of the work.  He is a perfectionist, with amazing attention to detail.  This was a big job - we have 11" ceilings, and it is an old house with several cracks in the plaster - and the painters were there every morning, and worked the whole day until 3:30.  It took them two full weeks (Monday to Friday) to complete the work.  We have used Rick before, and we would do so again.

Rick did a terrific job and I wouldn't hesitate to hire again. I am so glad that I don't have to look at one of my lousy paint jobs!

They were thorough. They did a good job. They were very detailed. They helped us in getting everything ready for the ranchers that we were renting our house for. My husband who is definitely detail oriented wanted all the painting to be done. They did a good job at that.

Great! Rick responded to my call the same day. We discussed the scope of the job and the type/amount of paint needed, and made arrangements for the work to be done on Saturday of the upcoming weekend. He arrived right on time (8:30am) with his son and another helper and they worked diligently, finishing up the entire job around 2:30pm. It looks so good - well worth the price! They were professional, very neat and the workmanship is excellent.

I called Rick about painting the room over the garage and he came by the next day to see the scope of the work and schedule a time for it to be done. He called that evening with a price, which included the cost of the paint, repairs around the dormer windows and ceiling, one coat of paint on the ceiling and trim and two coats of paint on the walls. The job included painting the very difficult to reach walls and ceiling of the staircase. We had agreed that he would start the job in two weeks. They arrived on time (actually a few minutes early) and the work took two days, just as he said. The room is completely transformed and looks great!

Overall, work was okay. Price was in line with estimate and work was done in a timely fashion. Drywall repair was not quite as good as I hoped--the first repair left a "dimple" in the wall--my husband pointed it out and it was redone, only to leave a slight "hump" in the same spot. Mr. Winters told my husband before he left that if we were not satisfied, he would return, but frankly, after several months of renovations and contractor issues, I just didn't want any more contractors in my house. The painting was done well and everything was cleaned up to our satisfaction.

Rick is very easy to work with. While we were picking out the colors, he brought over several samples of the colors painted onto wood boards, which allowed us to get a better feel for how the colors would look on the walls. He came out to give us estimates, and while we were initially taken aback by the price tag, he explained that a lot of what he spent time on was the preparation prior to putting paintbrush to wall. He spends time patching up the walls prior to painting to make sure that the end result is not marred by divots or irregularities in the surface. His crew spent a week in our house, and even painted despite having the house alarm going off all around them on one particular eventful day (I had forgotten to make sure the alarm was off one day before leaving for work, and due to a comedy of errors, was unable to be reached all day to turn it off). Rick and his painters left the house immaculate, and the walls look fantastic!
