Kacey has been my technician the last couple times that outside pest control was done. First of all, Home Pro does an excellent job keeping pest away. Kacey is fantastic. Very efficient, professional and prompt. Jason does my annual termite inspection. He too is great!!!!! Would recommend Home Pro!

I am a local agent and have been using HomePro for several years and they always come through! They are honest and trustworthy from their inspections, to their treatments and their work. Their inspectors and technicians are personable and well trained - customer service and follow up is great as well! Other agents and clients ask for recommendations and I always suggest HomePro Pest Control first!

We have a two-pronged complaint against HOMEPRO.  1.  They are predatory and are taking advantage of the real
estate sales process.  2.  The potentially unnecessary repairs were completed with poor craftsmanship.
July 9, 2015 the potential buyer of our home contracted HomePro Pest Control to provide a Termite and Moisture Letter for our home.  The repair estimate came to EXACTLY 1% of the value of the home which is the contractual norm for the maximum the we are obligated to pay.  That was suspect.
When we read the repair recommendations, we could not locate any of the alleged damage.  We went under the house and couldn't find the damage.  The home inspector could not point to any damage. Another pest control company could not locate any damage.  A mold and restoration company could not locate any damage in April.  We do acknowledge that the crawlspace was as humid as outside ambient because of the natural open ventilation. This changes with the seasons.
On top of the ?required? repairs, the company required a crawlspace dehumidifier system to be installed and the crawlspace made airtight.
To save money, we were going to install the crawlspace dehumidifier and seal the crawlspace vents.  I called the company to discuss.  We needed the moisture and termite letter from this company as required by contract.  We were bound to them, and they let me know this on the phone.  They explained in no uncertain terms they would not certify the space if they did not do the dehumidifier installation.  Additionally, when asked how they determined that the beams and joists were damaged and needed repair, he explained he used a sounding tool.  I asked what that was; it is a hammer.  We still cannot locate the soft joists.
Though we are obligated to pay for the work, we have no control of it. The dehumidifier does not dehumidify the area designated by HomePro as the ?problem? area.  The dehumidifier was placed in another section of the house that has only a small, ineffective access to the area of concern.  The area of concern remains as a crawlspace in Norfolk does in humid July, damp. The condensation on the vapor barrier remains in that area unaffected by the dehumidifier placed in the other end of the house.  The young, seemingly inexperienced foreman could not provide us any guidance or reason for his placement of the dehumidifier.  The location he chose has made little impact to the area of concern, yet HomePro already provided the moisture certification letter to the potential buyers thus certifying their own work.  The buyers are purchasing this house with a crawlspace in the same state it was when they were told by HomePro that this work needed to be done, damp (but with $6400 in work done). Additionally, the dehumidifier drainage tube is held in place by crossed nails pinching it overtop instead of using a bracket. The dehumidifier has no remote monitoring, so there is no way to know it is working or not unless you crawl to across the house to the unit under the house.
On the positive side, the electrician contracted out by HomePro did a great job. Everything he did was to code with great
craftsmanship.
HomePro understands that the seller is bound to pay for whatever they come up with up to the maximum amount.  They are not structural engineers.  They are not mold experts.  They are not dehumidifier experts.  They are pest experts.  And they are experts in requiring repairs exactly match the maximum price required by contract and experts in extracting money for ineffective solutions while still providing empty assurance guarantees to young home buyers.

On the day of treatment, two techs showed up. One of them was the tech who gave me the inspection (Zack! Seriously awesome guy!)  They made sure to let me know that they would be starting and also let me know that it would be safe if I needed to let the dog outside. They completed the work in about 2 hours. Super nice guys, the quality of work seems to be wonderful and they promised to come back for a re-treatment, if they show up again within a 90 day period.
Before they were even finished we were finding dead carpenter bees. So far, very happy with the treatment. Have not seen a bee yet (4 days post treatment). I was so satisfied with how I was treated and the price, that we will be calling them for general pest control and our termite treatment. Highly recommend!

We've had them for years. They way that they use their chemicals is different from all other companies. I have two very young children and animals and I was worried about having a treatment that would end up being really dangerous to them. The stuff that they use is different. It's like little molecules and the bugs track through it and it sticks onto them and weighs them down so instead of it being something like a pesticide kind of thing, it weighs them down so they can't eat and move anymore and then they die so it's not as toxic to deal with. They don't have to use as much actual material when they're treating as well because of the type of stuff that they use to treat with. They're family owned and ran. I'm on first name basis with the two or three guys that come out and do our house. They come whenever we need them to. Their price is really good. They do quarterly and yearly and all that kind of stuff. Both their office staff, like their secretary and the guys that actually come out are all really professional and good to work with.
