Contacted Hobbs based upon Angie's list reviews. John Hobbs came out and gave an estimate and made suggestions for how to accomplish the project - which entailed breaking up and removing a sunken in back porch, pouring a new porch and adding a side walk in a relatively confined area. They gave me a estimated time to complete the work - and kept very close to the initial schedule. Project is complete and beautiful - great attention to detail.

I am very happy with their work. Excellent service. Most important that they paid attention to the details that were specific to the job. I found them amicable and easy to work with. They kept the site clean and did more then what was contracted for.

My backyard was completely overgrown. We decided it was time to get rid of it all and have a patio constructed in its place.  I contacted Mr. Hobbs for an estimate.  His son, Dave, came to our house within a few days and gave us a preliminary estimate.  This estimate included cleaning out all the vegetation (and there was a lot of it), hauling it away, forming and pouring the concrete.  During the following week, both father and son came out, walked our property and came up with a final estimate.  I met with them to discuss the project right down to the smallest detail.  I was impressed with their knowledge about what could and could not be done.  Believe me, there was alot to do and there was not much that they couldn't do.  The first estimate was for just the basic concrete.  Because the price was so reasonable, we began talking about stamping and coloring the concrete.  Mr. Hobbs walked me through the entire process from getting the city license right down to how I wanted the finished product to look.  As a matter of fact, the color and the stamp that I choose were pretty bad.  This was our first project of this kind and who really knows what something like this is going to look like unless you have done it before.  Mr. Hobbs called me, came to my house and he and his son very gently suggested what would look better than what I picked out.  They were absolutely correct.  Once the city license was obtained, they began work within a week to ten days.  
The workers were prompt and very hard working.  I checked with them every day to see if they had any questions or concerns.  They were very conscientious about making sure I got exactly what I wanted.  Originally, I was told the job would take two weeks, but they finished in 8 days.  I am thrilled.
I called several other contractors before reaching Hobbs Contracting.  I do not believe I could have had a better contractor.  They are prompt, reliable, knowledgeable, conscientious about their projects and best of all, reasonably priced.  I would never consider calling any other concrete contractor for any work around my home.
