Hampton Roads Security

I signed up with Hampton Roads Security. Everything was great.

Phenomenal customer service.  After must consternation and evaluation of options, I chose to go with a small local provider over the big alarm companies.  I couldn't have been happier with the results.  I also happened to find them here on Angie's List.  They were a little more expensive than those offering the cheap $99 systems, but I wanted more than a box on the wall, 2 door sensors and a motion detector.  I wanted my old hardwired zones and all my upstairs windows protected.  I basically now have every exit in my home monitored and I can control it all from my iPhone.   I've had a couple user-error related issues like setting off the alarm accidentally as I get used to the technology, and the OWNER John actually called me each time to walk through the issue and make sure I was comfortable with how to use it and what to do next time.  You can't ask more than that.  With the this company, think "concierge" home alarm system with high touch service. This is not a company like ADT who hires bunch of car salesmen/women walking door to door trying to get your business then routing your support calls overseas.  This is a great investment if you are concerned about your safety and prefer to have someone from the U.S. (and local) helping you through the process of getting adjusted.  Plus the in-home installation was flawless.  I almost forgot to mention that their monthly service was about half of what I was paying for my previous alarm company. 
Do yourself a favor, at least see what these guys have to offer before committing to one of those long expensive contracts.

Found company to be informative over the phone and helped me learn about the systems out in the market and what the differences were. They were able to schedule my alarm installation the same day which was important to me, They did not try to sell me more than i wanted or needed. The product was better than I expected. The installer was on time and very professional. He cleaned up all his materials and walked me through the overall system. He even set my iPhone up to use the system remotely and showed me how to use on the computer too.
