Greenbrier Florist

My husband (who is deployed overseas) called Greenbrier Florist to place a special order of flowers for me on our Anniversary. He paid a significant amount and took considerable effort to ensure that his order was correct and contained my favorite flowers, delivered to my office before 5pm. Not expecting a delivery, I left the office early and received a call at 4:50pm from the delivery girl, who was immediately defensive and upset with ME. I asked her if she could deliver the flowers before noon the next day. The flowers arrived after 12pm and they were wilted, leading me to believe they were the same flowers from the day before and that the store hadn't even bothered to change the water.      Since my husband was overseas, he asked me to call and complain to the owner about the lack of punctuality and poor flower quality. When I reached the owner, she offered plenty of excuses and plenty of attitude, but no apology or refund. At the end of the phone call, she hung up on me (yes, HUNG UP ON ME) and I still don't know if she refunded my money.      My husband and I go out of our way to support local businesses, but I am appalled at the lack of professionalism and just plain old courtesy I encountered at this establishment. There are too many good businesses out there for you to waste your time with this one.

I order the deluxe size of the Medium Dish Garden plant but received the smaller size. Someone else sent the exact same plant (without flowers) I ordered so I knew my plant was not the right one. The plant was beautiful, however the flowers in the plant were wiltered (the picture of the plant did not include flowers). The pot shown on the website was a beautiful white round pot. The pot received was a smaller white pot with purple flowers all around the pot (ugly). The mother of the deceased saw the plant/flowers and ask why were the flowers limp? It looked like a 81/2 x 11 piece of paper was torn in half on which my information was printed (No envelope or card). I was embrassed and upset even though I didn't allow the family to see this. I slipped away and called the florist and left a voice message to which I never received a response. I ordered this item through a major floral company who then passed the order to this business. I complaint to the company whose website I ordered the plant from. They were very nice in addressing my complaint. They refunded half of my cost immediately.
