Jonathan showed up on time and took a look at what need to be done to repair it. Gave me a very reasonable price and went to work. When he was done, he showed me what he had done and why and what I needed to do to keep it in working order. He then demonstrated how everything was working, I paid him, and as he was about to leave, he noticed that I had a used garage door opener that was not hooked up yet. He asked me if I was going to install it, and I told him yes, but I just hadn't gotten around to it yet. He asked me if he could install it for me and I said sure! He had it installed in a few minutes flat! Thanks Jonathan, AWESOME job!!!

Garage Door Enterprise repair technicians came the same day as my call for service. Explained what my issues were and the time it would take for repair. VERY PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. Fixed broken springs and performed maintenance service on my door. Pleased and very satisfied.

Great!  Garage Door Enterprises installed it quickly and efficiently.  It works great!

Called them in the morning and Mark Lehmen arrived around noon.  He fixed the door in 10 minutes - the electric eye was not working properly.  He showed me how to troubleshoot the problem and fix it myself if it ever happened again!  He then got all of my remotes working both doors and cleaned and oiled everything.  Was gone in 45 minutes.
Quick, knowledgeable, professional and well priced.  It does not get any better than that.

Arrived very promptly and then properly fixed the door - repairing the lift mechanism..  Then did maintenance on entire door.  He was prompt, worked fast, very reasonably priced and professional.  All you'd ever want in a repair.

Mark was better than excellent:  He quickly determined our problem, explained it to me and corrected it.  He identified a second matter that if left unaddressed would also have caused the door to stop.  He lubricated all ball bearings on 2 doors.  He noted steps for us to take to prevent recurrence.  He was quite pleasant thoughout the approximately 1 hour.  His charge for services pluis parts seemed more than reasonable.  We now have 2 perfectly working garage doors that don't squeak and all for a quite reasonable fee.  We are fully satisfied and recommend GDE most highly!

My wife and I live in Norfolk, and when our Sears garage door started malfunctioning (it would only open halfway), my wife called the local Sears service center to get someone to come out and fix it. She was told that there would be a ten-day wait, and the price would be $65.00 for them to come out first for an estimate. So I checked Angie's List and gave Garage Door Enterprises in Chesapeake a call. They said they had a guy working at Ocean View, and he could get to our place in about an hour. When he he came by — about an hour after I called — he very quickly figured out the problem  and corrected it. Plus he fully explained it to me and was very friendly and courteous too. We  will definitely call these people first if we have more problems with our garage door opener.

I have used them before. Had to call them 3 times before they responded. Not a big deal. Showed up promptly.....

Prom day:  who needs a broken garage door at 8:15 in the morning?   Door won't go up.  Not interested in lifting an unsupported 100 + pound door.   Then I remembered the phone number for the nice man who replaced my rollers over a year ago.  Story short:  Springs replaced by 12:15 the same day.  Prom on.  High school senior happy. 

Sometimes you stumble across technician who knows his job exceptionally well. The work of replacing the rollers went quickly and now the garage door rolls with much less noise. This was not a job I could have easily completed myself. I did not know where to find the rollers, I did not know how to install them, I did not know that the bolts were loose, and I needed advice on the condition of my original construction five panel door. It turns out that my door is in good shape.

I told my neighbor that I did not know what the cost would be, but I did know that they would want to replace both springs. Sure enough, when the gentleman arrived, he said it would be silly not to replace both springs since the remaining spring would break from age soon enough. He then showed me the "spring bible" and explained that lift springs are rated for a certain life span--starting with ten thousand lifts and going up to twenty-five thousand lifts! He said the spring broke because it had far exceeded its intended use. The installation went quickly, he tested the door, and he also lubed the door rollers. He then agreed to look at my garage door for free, and diagnosed that only the rollers have to be replaced.

After the estimate, Lisa called and scheduled the work. The installers came at the time specified. They removed and hauled away my old wood door, installed the new one with opener and were complete in about an hour! It was a very good experience and recommend them highly.

The service rep knew what he was doing and switched the old opener with the new one without any problems. He installed a sensor in the door for me so it would be safer, and he showed me how it worked before he left. They had a good reputation and I was satisfied with the service.
