Chapman Construction of VA Inc.

I arrived on May 29th.  The floor was completed with new tile, but the plumbing had not been touched. The old vanity was still on site.  I had to remove it myself.  The 3/4" lines to the vanity were still the old leaking ones.  Hole in the wall behind the vanity location. Gaping hole at base of wall & floor between the tub & toilet.  I called him from Virginia and he did answer.  Claimed he never received the 4-5 calls & text.  Claims he was waiting for the vanity to complete the job.  He then texted me the measurements for the vanity.  It was the wrong dimension.  I texted him with the correct size.  I then had to text him again and stated that I had the vanity.  He accused me of being uncivil to him because I mention the fact that he was paid for the job he did not complete and of his failure to communicate.  He stated that he would be at the house either Thursday, June 23, or Friday, June 24th, to finish the repairs.  He never showed up nor did he contact me.  I do realize he has to travel from Norfolk to Gloucester.  Distance and traffic is not to his advantage.  But he could have at least called.  This ordeal has been going on since February.  I do believe that if Berkshire Hathaway had not paid him the remainder he would have contacted me and have completed the job.  I still have a bathroom with no vanity and holes in the walls and a view of the ground beneath the house.  He is well aware that I am now residing in the house.  I had not used derogatory comments towards him.  I just stated that he had been paid for a job he had not completed and that there was a communication issue.  This is very unprofessional. 

Received call from a tenant that water was dripping from the foyer ceiling!  We didn't know the source of the water.  Billy Chapman responded to my call promptly.  He walked methodically through each possible source from simplest to most difficult.  Of course, the leak was due to a problem hidden behind the shower wall. (Difficult!) 
He cut a hole in the wall, replaced the leaking stem, and repaired the wallboard professionally, ( I have only to paint it). While he was at the location, he also caulked all fittings in all bathrooms (2), replaced a faucet set, and a shower head.  The cost of the faucet set, and shower head are in his final price.
He even returned later in the day, to double check the ceiling in the foyer to see if any new drips had occurred.  I was most impressed and will use him again.
