Carters Country Corner

I wanted to write this review after the issue was taken care of but it seems I can’t get them to come out and replace the dead tree after over 5 weeks of trying.
I initially purchased 5 large Weeping Willows back in the fall of 2011. The following year I noticed that 3 of them were not growing right so I called out an arborist to look at them. The arborist said that the trees had been planted too deep and he did a root crown inspection and drilled some holes around the trees to get oxygen to the roots. I waited another season and 2 of
the trees were flourishing and the other 3 were hanging on by a thread. This spring (2014) I had to have one of the Willow removed, it was completely dead. The other 2 have been pruned and may survive.
In the start of April 2014, I go back to Carter’s and told them about the trees and that I now needed to put a large tree in place of the Willow that died. I purchased 2 very large Heritage Birch trees and 2 Leyland Cypress (to go to other locations in the yard). They came out and planted them no problem. After a couple of weeks I noticed that one of the Birch trees was
not producing any leaves. I went to Carter’s and they said to give it another week or so because it was still early spring. Okay.
One of the Birch trees had fully leafed out and the other was still with bare branches. I was already plannng to put more trees in my yard so I went to order 8 more of the large Birch trees. While I was there, I tell them that the tree still has not produced any leaves; I also ordered 8 more large Birch trees and left a deposit. Hunter assured me that they would be out that
following week to replace the tree. No show. I went back the next week when the trees came in to pay for them. The trees that arrived were not as large as the ones I wanted but I purchased them anyway (they cost less). I again mentioned
that they had not come out to replace the tree. The girl at the register noted in the book (again) that the tree needed to be replaced. The following week, they were supposed to come out to install the 8 Birch trees…you guessed it, no
8 Birch trees and no replacement tree! I go back and Hunter sets up the trees to be installed the following week, they were busy so didn’t get them installed. I’m being extremely patient at this point, but I’m annoyed. The following week they install the 8 Birch trees and… amazingly, no replacement tree! (You would think they would have done it while they out doing the 8
trees).
I go to Carter’s (again) and walked with Hunter to pick outand tag the tree that he again assured me would be replaced the following Monday because now its Mother’s Day weekend and they were sooo booked up. I waited again and no show. Now it is Friday, May 23rd (Memorial Day weekend) and I call and tell this lady that they were supposed to replace the
tree on Monday. She tells me that everyone is on vacation now so no one can do anything until next week. She offered to give me Hunter’s cell phone number but I said what good would that do if he’s not going to come out replace the tree
himself?
I have spent over $4K on trees and planned on more. You would think that there would be a better system in place for when issues of this nature arise. I hope to get this resolved once and for all next week. If not, I will have to take other measures. It should never have gotten to this point. I will certainly not be doing any further business with them after this, you have definitely lost a customer.

So I finally got them to come out an replace the tree, but only after I contacted WAVY10. Now I they have boldly put another dead tree! (They don't don't tell you when they are coming). Now I have no choice but the to litigate. I'm not a difficult person but I believe I deserve to get what I paid for. I wish I could attach pictures...unbelievable!

Have bought my mulch for many years from Carter's nice product, and people, and price is competitive

It is just a friendly country place. They have nice shrubs, trees and flowers.

We liked their selection and their employee, Ronaldo, was very helpful with suggestions for what plants would go in your yard. They were responsive to our questions.

It is a classic "family" operation done right. They provide excellent live trees and wreaths at Christmas time and provide top notch service. If you are price shopping, they will not likely be the cheapest. But, you get what you pay for. They help you pick it, cut it for the stand and secure it on your vehicle. We will continue to go back every year, it is a family event we look forward to.

Once I was able to make contact with the owner,they were very accomodating.They delivered on time and their product was very good.

They did a great job. They delivered it when they said they would, and the price estimate they gave me was accurate. We would use them again if we ever needed to.

Overall good job. Work started 1 pm and finished by 7 pm. Satisfied with everything Carter's has done.

Our yard looks like a movie stars yard. These guys were very skilled. I let them pick the design and surprise me with the look. I thought it turned out better than I thought that it would. I believed that I hired the best landscaping place in this area.

I was really happy with them. We have used them several times in the past and we have always been happy with them and this last time was no exception. They did an excellent job planting the trees. The trees are healthy and doing well. I have also had them do mulch for me and they brought it the same day that I called them.

After I had removed most of the large trees in my back yard because of storm damage, I needed to start from scratch. Country Corner has every plant that can grow in this region, and they are extremely helpful in assisting people select the right trees, and surrounding vegetation. Unfortunately, the large trucks used during planting made deep impressions in the lawn, but that was unavoidable. All the trees they planted took very well, and they are beginning to fill out.
