I have used them since 1987. The work took about a half an hour for one technician.

Their price beat two others by $1,000 dollars for the same unit and work.

The owner came out and look around at the two units and said I will send you a estimate. He didn't say anything really but that he would send me a quote. I wasn't sure what to expect. He's not going to sell you  anything, you call him up tell him what you need and that's what he does.

They installed it on the hottest day of the year. They did a phenomenal job getting it done in one day.

Best in the businesses. I give them A's all across. 

I have a service agreement with them and will continue to use them.

They scheduled the work to start at 8:30 AM Monday morning and showed up promptly on time. The crew was extremely professional, neat, efficient and finished the installation that day. They ensured that the area was cleaned up and they removed the old unit when they left. The city inspector came the next morning and found no problems with the installation. They returned on Friday morning at our request, for a final check-up to ensure everything was complete, including documenting the unit serial numbersand model numbers to help us fill out the warranty papers and they checked the unit once again to ensure that everything was working in a satisfactory manner.

We have been customers of C.L. Carter since 1975 (installed our first central a/c) and wouldn't consider anyone else to service or install our equipment. We were extremely pleased with the two young men that installed the system. They had a big job to do and they worked extremely hard every day. They were always on time, very polite, courteous, and willing to answer any questions that we had. The one thing that really stood out was the fact that we never heard a cross or cuss word the whole time they were here - and we really appreciated that. The pricing was great. We thought they did a great job! They were very responsive.

Very responsive - have used for years for yearly service calls and maintenance. Provided estimate and updated as we decided to go with larger unit. Installed original system so familiar with layout. Arrived on time to perform work. Lot's of folks for install, but had promised to have air back on first day and was unable to fulfill this promise, I would have changed scheduled date if I had known this. Had system up and running second day and made all initial adjustments. One of workers stepped on can light for upstairs hallway and pushed through ceiling. Mr Carter had someone come out and make repair, but he left me with broken trim and I have to go and buy new fixture. Also had bad install of emer drain pan overfow line. Went out to soffet as required, but didn't drill hole and PVC pipe eventually broke through wood with 12 inches of PVC extending down. Fixed when came back for second adjustment of dampers and looks, works ok now. One other issue was color of downspout that houses new drain lines - didn't match color of house - we had to paint. That should have been discussed and I am sure other companies would have done the same thing. Point for customers to raise and make sure planned correctly. System works great. Had tech come out and demo, program new thermostat. Mr Carter and his company are very customer oriented, just had a couple of hiccups on this install - not major but I learned a few lessons about things to look out for.

Service provided was solid. . A little bit of sticker shock, seeing as how I told them what the bad part was when they came in (ignitor was broken off and laying in the bottom of the unit) The ignitor was available on line for about $28.00, so the rest was labor/diagnostics.

They did good work, they were kind of expensive but did good work. They were pretty dedicated, they worked hard. It was the middle of summer and it was hot. They did a good job. I think they had a tough installation, they had to run new duct work into my house and be up in a hot attic where it was probably 120 degrees. I would say they do a good job, when I put another unit in my house and got a quote from them they were the most expensive so I didn't go wiht them for that. They were out here everyday until it was done and his guys were always out here on time. I would use them again if their price was competitve.

We have been with CL Carter since 1979. They do whatever you want. They’ve replaced our heating and air conditioning systems. We are in a house that was built in 1964, so most of the stuff that was in the house when we bought the house has now gone to the heating and air conditioning museum and Carter took it there. When the technician came over and found the problem with the air conditioning, they corrected it and got the AC back on. They left me a bill for about $275 or $300. The very next day the CL Carter’s receptionist called and said not to pay that bill. Mr. Carter saw that bill and told the receptionist that I didn’t owe them anything. We have been with them that long. I think that what might have happened is that since we have that maintenance contract the problem may have been induced by the guy who did the annual checkup for summer. That’s just what I’m thinking. They checked it recently. They do a really thorough check, it’s not that they don’t touch anything and change anything, they try to tweak it. In my mind I thought I wonder if Carter called me back because he probably had a meeting and said I didn’t do anything with the air conditioner and that the technicians do stuff with it. Carter thought it was their problem, not mine. I think they are very fair. Their prices were in line with the average when we bought the new stuff. When they send a team out to your house to do AC or heating, it is some top notch people. The supervisor is there all the time. Things move along and there is no come back. When the air conditioning went out, it’s always during one of those really hot periods, just burning, but when I call and said my AC had finally quit there was a line that went to Tupungo to get repairs done. That guy, and I suppose we have been with them at least fifteen years, he said we are really busy and have a lot of people waiting and that I have been a loyal customer for 15-20 years and they would get to me soon. In three days they were here and the AC was back in operation two days later.

The showed up on time and worked the entire day only to fail the city inspection two times. I went without heat and was not offered a space heater or anything. Then he failed to complete everything as per the contract. Upon further inspection of the attic I found it a mess.

Company called to confirm appointment, called to notify when tech would arrive. Tech arrived on time, was very pleasant, went right to work, advised me of repairs need, told me how much it would cost, discussed options, performed work, cleaned up after work done, took payment, and left.

Wonderful service! Great help in financing, gave me a quote over the phone without trying to sell me anything. Workers came on time, and were very polite and did a through job. On top of it all, they were the LOWEST price for the size unit I needed, and it was for a TRANE!

The people who come out to service our heater and air conditioner install a new filter each time they come. They go over the furnace to make sure it is in proper working order before winter hits. They also review the air conditioner to make sure it is working also. The price of parts if there was something wrong is not included in the yearly maintenance price.

After the first few visits, I ended up taking out a contract with them that I renew every year. I have been satisfied with them and I have been using them for a good couple of years. The pricing is also great because it keeps everything going good and maintained well. I do not mind paying the price at all. They are not a sneaky company, they never try to get over on you like some other places tend to do.

They have actually done business with us for the last several years. We've always gotten the best results from them. I thought that they did a very thorough job and in our eyes they provided us with perfect service.

C L Carter Heating and Air Conditioning installed a top of the line heating and air conditioning system. They installed everything correctly and they actually finished the job very quickly for the amount of work they put into it.
