This was our 3rd time having our piano tuned by Kyle Becker. As always, he was very professional and personable. I can't imagine even considering anyone else for this job. I was not home at the time but my husband said he was there for a little over 2 hrs tuning and unsticking keys and wiping down the wires.

Mr. Becker was excellent. I really did not think I would ever be able to play that piano again. After 50 years it was so out of tune and the keys even stuck in several octives. He spent a long time trouble shooting, cleaning and tuning my upright piano then he proceded in playing a tune which was marvelous. I am thrilled with the resurrection of my dad's 1960's Baldwin! Excellent service! Called to let me know when he was on his way and showed up on time. Brought old family heirloom back to life and in working order. Went above and beyond the scope of the groupon and also fixed some stuck keys. He was even nice enough to patiently explain everything to my ever so curious nephew. Will definitely use for all future piano maintenance needs!

Kyle communicated with me immediately after I contacted him. A convenient date was set up. Kyle was terrific about letting me know what time he would be arriving on the day of the service. My antique grand piano was terribly out of tune. I had been told by a piano mover that it probably couldn't be tuned as it was so old. Kyle not only tuned it but he made it sound more amazing than I could have dreamed. When he was finished, he walked across the driveway to my daughter's house and made her piano amazing as well. Excellent experience!

I was able to make an appointment on the first call. He was prompt, professional, knowledgable and a fantastic pianist. My grandchildren were here and he was very patient with their questions. Fantastic job.

Kyle Becker tuned my piano (@ 1.5 hrs) and then played it for me! He brought my piano back to life--it had never sounded so wonderful before! I am so grateful to Mr. Becker and will highly recommend him to all of my friends! He made first contact with me through Angie's List and then called me the morning of my appointment to tell me he was on his way. He made friends with my 3 dogs upon his arrival--they loved him! Then I asked him if he needed anything and he said no. He did his tuning professionally, quietly, and with care. I couldn't believe how awesomely my (old--@ 60 yr old) my piano sounded; this is the first tuning I've had on it-- it has traveled across the country and been housed in 3 different states. After Mr. Becker played it, he then played AND SANG which brought chills to me because it was so beautiful. Mr. Becker brought joy and melody that I didn't know my piano could do! YES, YES, YES--have Mr. Becker tune your piano--he is the greatest!!! P.S. He also sings and plays for weddings, etc.

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List and their services turned out excellent. He was excellent and very competent. He was a very experienced piano tuner from what I could tell. He was very nice mannered. He was prompt on time. He was very knowledgeable. He did some extra work, taking the keys out and so forth, but as soon as there would be an extra charge at the end he said no that is fine. He did mention that he should come back in about six to nine months and retune it again because it had not been tuned in a while so it takes some time to get them back to concert "quality."

He set up his equipment and proceeded to give a complete tune up to our piano. He was very informative and answered our questions. Would definitely use him again.

Perfect timing! Just after we moved the piano into our new home, I was able to purchase a voucher for Becker's piano tuning at a discounted price. The piano was tuned today, and Kyle Becker can count on us to be repeat customers! He arrived on time, took great care in tuning our vintage baby grand, and made minor repairs for a minimal extra charge. Highly recommended!

Mr. Kyle Becker was prompt in arrival for our appointment and extremely courteous. He was quite efficient and professional. He is obviously quite knowledgable regarding pianos and is adept at sharing that knowledge. While he uses a tuning machine to provide the major rough tuning, ALL final adjustments are done by ear. Thereby ensuring the instrument is perfectly tuned for use. He was neither rushed nor forced in his approach. The very deliberate methodology employed was a joy to observe. Mr. Becker was more than willing to answer questions and provide commentary on history and operational theory of pianos. I found the tuning session informative and enjoyable to watch/hear. I strongly recommend any piano owners avail themselves of his services. They will forever be grateful for having done so. He is THE individual I recommend for the Tidewater area if you are in need of tuning, maintenance, or repair / restoration services. Since Kyle is also an accomplished pianist, the final check of the instrument was verified by his playing several styles of music ranging from classical through ragtime with a bit of h**** tonk thrown in for good measure. We look toward to having him service our piano for many many years to come. While we were enticed by the Big Deal discount price, we would, without hesitation, pay full price for future services.
