Preston has provided annual lawn care for me over the past 15+ years.  The service extends throughout the year applying the weed and feed necessary for that season - there is no annual contract where I am obligated for a minimum monthly amount, I only pay for each application individually.  In comparing prices with me buying the materials and laying it down myself versus Preston's fee for materials and application, I found that his material prices were the same, but his fee included application throughout my yards.  So basically his application is "free".  What's more important is he knows exactly what is needed for that particular season.  Whenever there is an explosion of a particular weed after his application, Preston will come out and re-apply at no cost.  My lawns are just about weed free throughout.
Since there is no annual contract, it's worth you trying a single treatment and comparing the costs - that's how I started.  When he gave me his first estimate it was directly after I had applied Scott's Weed and Feed.  His estimate was $5 more than the amount I had just paid for the Scott's product.  So his time and expertise was $5.  Ah, let's see - $5 for him to walk over 1/2 acre.  Gee that decision was a no-brainer!

They did a great job!  
I hired them for the summer to mow my lawn and I plan to hire them again next summer.  They were always on time (weekly) and as it got colder or if it rained too much, they did not charge me for the week they did not mow the lawn, which was very honest!
If you are looking for someone to mow your lawn next year, hire them as you will really like their work!

They were very reliable. They do good work. They were very responsive. They respond very quickly. I would use them again in the future.
