A & A Awnings and Storm Shutters

Our patio fabric awning was off kilter. I called A&A to get it checked out as it is still under warranty. Yesterday, John and Jay came to look at it. They made the required repair and adjustments quickly. They were both very personable guys and I appreciate their work.

Disclosure loved the awning when it worked. Purchased and had an A& Awning installed 1.5 years ago. Attempted to use it the beginning of the summer. Awning would only move approximate 1 every time the button is pressed. So I manually extended the awning. Tried other times throughout the summer after swapping the battery in the remote with no luck. Called A & Awning and explained the issue and I was told it sounds like the motor needs to be either reprogrammed or replaced. Was also told during the conversation that there is 5 year warranty on the motor that is covered but I would be required to pay $175.00 service fee, which I do not agree with. We spent thousands of dollars on an item that we used for only one summer and a handful of times and now need to spend more money on to fix a warrantied part. I honestly wish I would have just spent a little more money and had a permanent overhead future installed.

The sales rep was very knowledgable and answered all our questions. The install went smoothly. The installers were very professional, discussed everything. Love my new awning.

Good morning all, Here is my experience The office manager/receptionist Penny was very pleasant. Estimator Mike MacDonald was a no-show. I called the office manager/receptionist Penny to ask if Mike was on the way? (Appt was at 8 am and I called at 9 am) Penny told me Mike said (roundabout) we only provide labor for those who purchase products from us. In my case, I already had Bahama/storm shutters that needed install. Note: I am ok with A&A business decision regarding labor. I did take time away from the office? Did my time not matter to you? Mike MacDonald, I would have appreciated a call from you personally as a courtesy versus having to track you down. My storm shutters will go up - they will be beautiful - they will be a point of discussion when viewing my home, and I will reference this experience. Result customer failed - word of mouth lost. They did not install the metal cover which would have required additional support. And they did not contact me to provide possible fixes as they had suggested.

Have had a first rate experience from start to finish with this company. The retractable awning is perfect as was the installation process. The installers were efficient, courteous, experienced and prompt. I am extremely happy with this company in all aspects.

Excellent service, came right in, made sure the item was what you ordered before install and took their time to do quality work and explain how to operate.

They did great work; we love the awning and use it whenever we can. It keeps the house much cooler and protects furniture, rugs and wood floor from fading!

I worked with a team to have new fabric put on an existing frame at two locations at my church. The sales person was easy to work with and was very knowledgeable. We paid 50% up front and were told it would be 4 - 6 weeks for delivery; once the fabric was in the company would come back, remove the frames and add the fabric and install the awnings. It has been 4 months and the awnings have just been reinstalled with NUMEROUS calls to the company and even speaking with the head of the company. Promises to respond, call back or install the awnings. Now the awnings are finally installed and are wrinkled. Would not recommend!

I communicated over the phone with the company and had an advisor come out several times to look at my place and help me find something that would fit and match quite well. There was a decent time gap between purchase and assembly but it was worth the wait because I received a very high-quality product that makes my house look quite nice.

Had a wide variety of colors and were very helpful explaining how the choice of color effects the cooling powers of the awning.

We had an A&A awning installed in July 2016. It is mounted on our roof. Electric motor, remote control. Very high quality, looks great, stands up well to 10-15 mph wind and rain. AND it covers our entire deck (about 20' wide by 15' deep). We had previously considered Sunsetter, but Sunsetter only sells stock sizes, and their largest model would not have covered our entire deck (their largest size is about 20' by 11 or 12'). A&A custom makes all their awnings. Also, A&A was about a thousand dollars cheaper than Sunsetter. We are very happy that we discovered A&A Awnings before settling for a more expensive inferior product from Sunsetter. One hitch: it took almost two months to have the awning installed (from the time we ordered it). worth the wait, but we would have preferred to have it installed a month earlier.
