I love this place! Wife's car. 2011 Murano. I originally set up appointment for washer squirts only. Then I remembered how I've always hated the way the headlights cut off almost directly in front of the car at night, they didn't shine down the road much at all. Also I really like this place! Also, pulling into the lot I happened to notice that the state inspection sticker was overdue. What's the deal with wives and their vehicles?!?! So I ask the very nice woman at the front desk about having these additional things checked out and was told that they would absolutely get everything taken care of. Have I mentioned that I love this place. The wait was minimal, the price was fantastic and the people are friendly. I've taken my truck there and had the same experience or better. It's a good feeling knowing you have a mechanic you can trust. Very hard to find for some reason. Crooked industry for the most part. But I've found my families mechanic and will be using them for everything forever. I love this place!

I was treated great. Didn't feel like I had to worry about getting scammed like I do at 99% of other auto service shops. They were able to get my truck in very promptly and got the work done in half a day. I had a list of repairs the Ford dealer said I needed to pass my state inspection with a cost just under $3000. Word of Mouth said two thirds of the list were well within inspection specs and got the rest done for under $1000. I knew the dealer was probably the most expensive repair shop to go to but I didn't expect that kind of robbery. This will be my mechanic as long as I live in the area.

These guys are amazing ? always willing to squeeze you in and look at an issue. They're friendly, honest and extremely reasonably priced. I've been there countless times for them to check a warning light. They spend twenty minutes or more making sure nothing is wrong, and then refuse to let me pay for their time. They're amazing.

I would highly recommend Word of Mouth Automotive. They squeezed me into their tight schedule and finished in twenty minutes. They were friendly, fast, and professional. I am going back for any other services I need performed on my car!

This is truly the best mechanic I've ever been to! We took our car in for an oil change and they were nice, quick and fairly priced. But for the most recent visit, our car had a service light on for a 40,000 mile check up. It was our first service out of warranty and we took it in to make sure everything was okay. They looked it over, told us it didn't need any work, and didn't charge us a thing. So rare, and can't recommend enough!

My experience with them has been extremely positive. It’s a very affordable repair and I had a lot of communication from the mechanic. They are willing to give multiple options and discuss any financial concerns. The mechanic is extremely knowledgeable and has a great customer service. They are very willing to impart knowledge to customers even though it may result to possible loss of service.

Started work as soon as I came in, explained the problem, fixed the problem. We have found a mechanic we can trust which is a goal of almost every car owner. Cost was fair, again a big plus. Give them a try, you will be surprised, and happy.

This mechanic is great! Fair, honest, reliable, and fast, even when the lot is full. After moving to Charlottesville, the first few mechanics I tried I was not pleased with. I am admittedly picky, my old neighbor was the only mechanic I'd ever used, and am totally confident bringing my vehicle here.

I went with By Word of Mouth because of the reviews on Angie's List. I was not disappointed. This was the cheapest of the four quotes I received for the work. The only downside was that I had to wait a few days for them to be ready to do the work, but this was told to me up front so no surprises. Car is running great now.

Critter ate through break wire harness. They soldered and re-insulated harness wires.

I cannot recommend this place enough. The owner and his employee took me to school from the shop and picked me up in the afternoon because I didn't have another way to get there. They were so helpful in explaining everything to me in the bill, which was nicely itemized for labor and parts separately. They looked through and fixed everything I asked them to and I think the price was very reasonable for everything that I had done. They have a small shop with only two bays, but were able to get my car taken care of and back to me within the day. They had great customer service. I am always wary about mechanics as I have no experience with cars, but I think you can really trust them and they take good care of their customers.

It was my first time there and it went well. The labor price on the transmission cooler came in a little better than they quoted. I also asked them to check out a noise in my left front wheel and of course the noise was not evident when we drove around the block. The refreshing thing - they didn't just throw an expensive part on the truck without knowing what was causing the noise. They told me to come back when I hear the noise again and they would figure it out. If Matthew and crew continue to do business this way I will be a customer there until I die.

I was politely greeted and made an appointment to drop my car. They were done when promised, and did not try to gouge me in any way. They never tried to sell any BS unneeded repairs. My car was not and quot;washedand quot;, but was not dirtied either. Their price for supplies and labor were SUPER reasonable. I hit the Jackpot!

I initially found them on Angie's List, was impressed with the reviews, and made an appointment.
If you want a fancy waiting area with a TV and expresso (and a bill that pays for that fancy waiting area) this is not the place for you.
If you want straight-shooting, no-nonsense information from someone you can trust to tell it like it is, this is the place for you.
If you're concerned about whether someone might be trying talk you into things that may or may not need to be done, this is the place for you because they do what's needed and explain that the other stuff you asked about isn't really needed and would be very costly.
If you want automotive work of the highest quality that's done on time, this place is for you.
Bottom line: Great technical work and great customer service. What more could you ask for?
