Fit and workmanship could not have been better.  Installers came on time and spent the entire day. I would use them again.

It took Todd 3 weeks to build everything and came in with his assistant. They installed the cabinets first, followed by the countertop and then the drawers underneath. He perfectly matched everything to what was there. The style, laminate color and even the hardware! It all looked as if it was built and installed at the same time. He did a wonderful job and was a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely hire him again and recommend him highly!

We asked Todd to make built-in bookshelves for our living room. Two cabinets with bookshelves on top that fill a space approximately 9 feet high, 4 feet wide, and 3 feet deep. Todd came over to do some measurements, we showed him some pictures of cabinets we liked on Pinterest and Houzz, then he did the rest. We didn't have any experience with interior design, and when we asked Todd for help with design, he provided very valuable direction and insight which, in the end, made the cabinets even better than we could have articulated.
He had a solid backlog of work over the summer, so it took about 1 month from quote to install. But after taking the measurements, he made the cabinets in his shop, and took just one day to do the installation. Everything was made as expected and fit beautifully.
We also asked Todd to do some extra holes in the wall and outlets in the cabinets to help hide wires for the TV that is mounted on the center wall. He was very handy with this custom work and completed it with no issues.
Todd was very punctual and flexible for timing. We have a baby and a tough work schedule, and he was able to come over early to do his measurement visit when we asked him to (7:15am). Additionally, he was responsive to questions via email or regular phone calls.
Overall we are really pleased with the work that Todd did and the way he interacted with us throughout the process.

Unlike some other local carpenters, Todd was comfortable taking on this project of a kind he didn't regularly get, and he displayed the confidence that comes with competence.  All he had to build from was a photo of a mantel I saw on the internet and he replicated it perfectly.  He called my builder to determine the dimensions and attachment method needed.  The construction is solid and precise and was exactly what I needed.  His delivery was considerably faster than he promised.

Todd was excellent. We are new to the area and it a while of asking around, calling, and getting estimates before we found Todd. From the start Todd was very straightforward, telling us exactly what could be done, why, how long it would take and how much it would cost. On our budget, this clear and accurate estimate is a relief. He was on time, got the job done on schedule, and was upfront about his availability, always allowing us to make the most informed decision possible. I hired him for the job without getting any further estimates. Todd does what he says he will do, when he says he will do it. It is hard to find good woodworkers; one estimate we received was from an obviously capable carpenter, but the cost was sky high, three times what I make per hour and I have three advanced degrees. Todd's hourly rate was reasonable and justified. Our cabinets and modifications look great!

Todd was absolutely fantastic throughout the process, and his work is of the very highest quality. We recommend him enthusiastically and without reservation! He's one of the best.

We are remodeling our kitchen on a tight budget and decided to keep and paint our existing cabinets. We chose to modify some of the cabinets to make space for a counter-depth fridge. Todd had some great ideas which dovetailed with our plans; he provided a design that was interesting, fit our needs, and suited the style of our house. I especially appreciated that he came to our house with a cardboard footprint of the new base cabinet so that we could envisage the different options and make sure that our stand mixer fit in the cabinet. I also got a quote from a contractor for ready-made cabinets that would fit into the space--that quote was more expensive, and the contractor agreed, when he saw Todd's work, that the result was far superior to a ready-made product.

Todd removed our old cabinets and made and installed a base cabinet with a hutch shelving unit above, and a cabinet over the new fridge. During the process, we discovered that the walls of our house are not square, which caused some problems with the installation, but Todd made it all work. If we had had the contractor do the work, or anyone less skilled in woodworking, it might have gone terribly wrong! We are thrilled with the results.

We also got a quote from Todd for built-in bookshelves around out fireplace and on one of our living-room walls. We haven't done this work (we are not sure it's really in our budget), but we would really like to hire Todd to do it.

So, again, Todd is fantastic, an absolute gem. You should hire him!

He was reliable, always on time and did excellent work.  We've had a difficult time finding reliable companies since we moved to Charlottesville so it was a welcome relief when we found Todd.
