Pre contract phase was handled professionally. Builder was responsive and eager to close deal. Concerns and needs were addressed. Generally responsive to emails from customer. Builder was willing to accommodate unique specifications outside of general scope of work.
Construction phase started late, with the original projected move in of June-13 actually occurring at the end of Aug-13. Daily visits by customer to the jobsite ensured subcontractors understood intent/direction of work. On multiple occasions, instructions were misunderstood or not fully communicated to subcontractors.
Construction quality was standard. Items damaged during construction were replaced/repaired prior to occupancy. The only substandard events that occurred were the construction of the driveway, failure to repair construction damage to the access road and drainage issues around the property. A written attempt to ask the builder to repair contractually-obligated items (road damage) were rebuffed and instead a small monetary settlement was offered to me ($500) in agreement to not seek further recourse. A BBB complaint has been lodged.
