We had been meaning to go into Sarisand for weeks, but couldn't find a time when we were both free and the showroom was open. When we were on our way elsewhere one morning, we say the sign out that they were open and decided to go in. We're in our second home and have done this before, so we immediately started looking at tile. There was a young woman behind the main desk who was very friendly, but a younger man at a desk behind her wound up coming over to help us.
First of all, throughout the visit, was had an impossible time getting a price out of the guy. He kept saying it would depend on the market. Well, having done this before, we know that the price of natural stone doesn't fluctuate THAT much. A lot of the tile we used in our last reno is still being sold today for around the same price. There were even times when he just said that something was "REALLY expensive." I came to the store because I like nice tile...further, he didn't know what our budget was, so perhaps that "expensive" tile wasn't expensive to us?
There was also a point when I mentioned the drain component I wanted to use and he AGAIN made a comment about how expensive it was. He also started talking to my husband, who is not as well versed in hardware as I am, even saying "HE knows what I mean." My husband started laughing and told him "she knows more than I do."
I was really sad about this visit. I wanted to work with them after a friend had had a nice experience with the owner. I also like buying local and this place isn't too far from our house. But there's just no way.

Pete is amazing with tile! He was able to help me with very specific project and it turned out beautifully. Would definitely hire again when considering any tile project. He is the best and their new showroom is stunning.

We knew what we wanted and the salesperson and quot;gotand quot; it immediately. He was able to select the materials very quickly from a large array that were available. They were ordered and received within the time frame that the salesperson indicated.
We plan to use them again for our master bath renovation next year.

At first it went great. Thomas picked out a BEAUTIFUL floor for us ( the absolute envy of my neighborhood) and gave us nice options for the subway tile around the tub/shower. He recommended Red Line Construction and we moved forward with the project. We replaced an acrylic built in tub shower with white subway tile to the ceiling. The accent trim looks great. The floor is amazing-except one of the tiles has a spot on it that looks like grout splattered on it.
I admit that I can be picky but I am pretty upfront with expectations and encourage open communication. When the wall tiles went up one of the trim tiles was cut in a way that gave it a very unnatural color. I had to call the shop and have someone come out and replace it. Which they did in a timely manner. After the floor was revealed and all the workmen left I noticed a spot about 4and quot;x 4and quot; that had what looked like splattered grout on it. I tried to get it up, but I did not want to harm the tile. So I called the shop again and talked to Pete. He sent out the same guy who installed the tile, Johnny. I showed Johnny the tile and ask if he can get the grout up. He tells me and quot;Oh yeah, I noticed that when we put it down. That is just the way the tile is cutand quot;. I asked if they could replace the tile, just the one piece. I know there were extra tiles (which I did not get by the way, even though I paid for them). He said he would talk to Pete.
I have called the shop several times, and have never had a call returned.
Overall, I really like the way the bathroom turned out. Thomas was able to pick out all the colors for me (trim, grout, even paint color for the walls). His suggestion to use Red Line worked out OK, although they were extremely messy, damaged a few places outside the bathroom, and then billed me for painting over the marks/damage they created. I had planned to use Sarisand for a kitchen project, but they can be pretty pricey, and since they did not replace the tile on the floor I just worry they have gotten too busy and their customer service is falling to the wayside. When doing any project you really need to believe the professional is doing everything they can to make sure the customer is happy. I feel that if you spend over $4,000 the job should be perfect.

Would very much liked to have used them, but our bath remodel was put on hold because of unforeseen job changes.

My initial encounter with Sarisand was very positive—the office manager was able to meet with me the day I called for an appointment. I was impressed at the selection of tile offerings; and Jennine was able to quickly point me towards a wall and floor
tile that would work for my bathroom remodel. I needed something cost efficient that would ship quickly. In a short period of time she wrote up an order and calculated the amount of tile needed. The cost quickly escalated, however, when I discovered I would need a
lot of bull-nose tile to finish the edge of the tub surround. I decided to go ahead with the order, which also included a hefty shipping charge, even though it turned out to be over twice my budget.
The next week, when I had not yet heard they were in, I looked over my order and discovered the bull-nose tile calculation was
incorrect. When I called, it turned out they had not yet submitted my order (“quick ship?”) and they could correct the
mistake…for an additional $88..full price for the extra tile. Frankly, I was surprised they did not know off the top of their heads how much tile and bullnose it would take to tile a standard sized tub surround. One expects a bit more experience/training from a shop that specializes in tile.
When the tile arrived a few days later, my husband drove an hour to pick it up and he was almost sent away without the additional
tile. The clerk he dealt with did not check and if Jennine had not checked for her, we would have had to make another
hour long drive to pick it up. As it was, we did indeed get it; the tile is beautiful installed, and I supposed all
is well that ends well. I did expect a better level of professionalism from a company that charges a lot more for their tile than the
big box stores. In addition, their store hours are very difficult to work with…they open late and close at four; and are
not open on the weekend.
Another aside…I asked for a quote on a toilet and when they sent it to me, they did not specify the model number. When I asked for it, they never responded. Perhaps they figured their price was so high I wouldn’t want it anyway (which was true)…found the same
brand for a lot less elsewhere. When you pay more, you expect more…and I didn’t get it.

We worked with Pete from Sarisand Tile in renovating the master bathroom in our house. We initially came in to purchase tile for our walls, floor and tub surround. Pete not only helped us with the tile, he had a freestanding tub and tub filler that he had used as a display that was in pristine shape which he sold to us at a significant discount. We were thrilled to be able to afford to replace our not-so-attractive built-in tub. With the help of photos and our descriptions of what we were looking for, Pete drew up a design of what he thought we could do in the bathroom. We followed his plan, down to the placement of the tile (horizontal vs vertical, the darker accent wall in the shower, etc) and just love the results. As for price, Sarisand beat the price of the other tile company we were considering. And, service-wise, they were able to cut and grind a bullnose into the edge tiles and order slate shelves and shower curbs for our use. The other tile shop was not able to provide any of that service. It was a pleasure to work with Pete. We are planning to go back to Sarisand when we do our kitchen backsplash in the near future. We have no doubt that Pete will again be able to help us come up with the right tile and a great design!

I contacted Sarisand and requested an estimate for the job described above. I also asked for an estimate to have the counter top for the sinks replaced. The estimate was divided between the tile installation part and the demo, prep, and finish. The demo, prep, and finish was done sy a sub contractor. Pete of Sarisand works closely with his subcontractor so that the job is completed smoothly.. The workers were a pleasure to work with and very professional is the completion of the job. I requested that once the job was started that it be completed without delays and it was. In fact, the first tile installer had a family emergency and couldn't complete the job. The next day, a different tiler came and finished the ob beautifully.
I was very happy with this work. They were a delight to work with.

Our experience with Pete and Amy was extremely positive from the start. This was our first remodel of anything and we were not sure about how best to go about it. We spent a lot of time at various local businesses looking at tile, vanities, lights, faucets, bath-tubs, shower doors and toilets. It was hard to develop the theme and look we were going for, until we walked into Sarisand Tile. Pete is very professional and extremely creative. He listened carefully, looked at the photos and floor plan we had. He methodically went through all the options and developed a complete plan. The best of all, he was able to source everything we would need except lighting, and at prices competitive to all the other vendors we had already been to. For lighting we went to Timberlake Lighting and Pete again helped us by making the selections that best fit with the design he had come up with. We worked with Mike King, recommended by Pete, as the contractor, Ian Dunavant for the glass work and shower door, and Pete supplied the installers and arranged for granite top. This team was simply excellent. They work efficiently and were extremely tidy. They had to traverse through the master bedroom which has white carpet - no problems. There were no overcharges and the work was on time and budget. We were even more pleased with the work once it was done. The installers were artistic and very neat. I was pleased to learn they used an epoxy grout which will certainly give many years of maintenance free service. Pete came over a number of times to make sure all was going well. Our master bathroom is now high quality, unique, and beautiful. Two-thumbs up from us. We would certainly be working with Pete again for any remodel we do in the future.

Sarisand calculated the tile requirements and there were no issues with the tile order and delivery. James and Joey (J and J Tile) are not the fastest installers, but their work was meticulous and they were a pleasure to have working in our home. They created exactly the result we had envisioned. Dunavant Construction performed all the other construction requirements of our project outside of the tile, and their work was excellent too. Sarisand are not cheap, but the knowledge of their inventory and how to make the project a success is worth the cost.

The design assistance was very good and the tile we selected was very nice but the installer was awful. He rushed the job, changed the design without consulting us, was rude when we asked him to correct mistakes, did not clean up after himself. We ended up with an uneven tile line in a conspicuous place that could not really be corrected, only somewhat modified/improved. The installer acted as if it were our fault and really stepped over the line of professionalism. When we asked him to remove the dried-on lumps of grout, he told us that "the cleaning ladies usually do that." He was incredibly rude. Sarisand's owner, Pete Sandfort, made sure that the minimal fix was applied but did not respond to our written list of complaints about the installation and the installer. No apologies, no offer to reduce the price, no offer to even come out and look at the job. In addition, the estimates of tile required were off. There was not a single tile to spare in one case; there was simply not enough of a second tile; and there were 3 boxes left over in a third. Because one estimate was off, we had to wait an extra week for a re-order.
