Joe is just fantastic. The quality of his work is first-rate, with real attention to detail. He's also friendly, professional, and a good communicator. You'll pay a little more than a franchise outfit, but it's utterly worth it. Highly, highly recommended.

What a pleasure to talk with Margie Noonan. I contacted Noonan through Angie's list and received a response right away. I called to see if I could get a quote for my project but Margie let me know that they are booking out several months out. (That tells you something about the quality of work that they provide.) 
Although they were not able to help me, Margie was quick to refer me to another contractor who could do the landscape/backyard job for me. I also asked her if they did any plumbing work and she let me know they do not do plumbing or electrical. Again, she was quick to refer me to plumbing service that she has used and highly recommends. 
If this is any indication of how they do business at Noonan, then I am a fan. I hope to use Noonan in the future. I better be sure to plan out my project because I know they will be busy!

My house looks freshly-painted. Noonan and his crew treated it as if it were their own. Theyworked hard, quickly, accurately. They finished all repairs, rebuilding, and painting before deadline, were thorough in finding small, necessary repairs as they worked; made sure the various house-paints were matched exactly. We have scheduled further work, including house-painting, for next spring. I'd hire them again in an instant.

We had an agreement that Joseph would fit me in between other projects, which allowed us to break the project up in two pieces.  Weather kept us from starting the work when initially thought.  Joseph did an amazing job communicating with me to let me know that things were behind and when he felt he could get the first leg done.  I have never worked with a contractor who did such a great job communicating with me.  On the day of the first leg, he was on time (we were still in bed) with his crew and got to work immediately.  It was Memorial Day, but he was working to get caught up!  The work went well, the cleanup was great, and I have no complaints.  The second leg came in late July.  Again, Joseph kept me informed of his planned schedule and we actually ended up getting him a day early.  The work was done well, despite topographical challenges and the cleanup was great.  I would recommend Joseph to anyone with similar projects and am considering him for others down the line.

Joe and his crew were on time, professional and extremely qualified to do all jobs required.   Their attention to detail is extraordinary.
Joe's communication is textbook customer service.  He called to come out to inspect the job, confirmed the appt., came when he said he would and then sent a proposal via email for approval.  He exceeded expectations, and we will have him back!

Mr. Noonan discussed all of the options with me and we decided on the materials for the project. He arrived early on the scheduled day and performed the work. He performed all of the work we'd agreed upon in a timely and professional manner.

Work looks terrific.  Excellent attention to detail.  The crew did a great job and cleaned up everything when they left.  The exterior of the house looks like new.  We could not have asked for a better result.

Joe was great. We bought a house that needed a few tweaks to bring it up to par.  I called Joe and talked to his wife, who was very nice and scheduled an estimate around my availability.
Joe came in and gave a very honest opinion of what he was comfortable doing around the house and what he would refer out to an expert.  He e-mailed me a detailed estimate with timing etc.
He did everything he promised to do within the time that he said it would take.  But he went way above and beyond of what he initially agreed to.  He fixed a garage door siding, which was damaged a week before his scheduled arrival.  Instead of regrouting a few spots in the bathroom floor, he re-did the whole thing! -  since it would look nicer that way.  
Also, he touched up our large staircase, where there were cracks.
Joe gave me updates throughout the process and was very good about following up after the work was done.
All in all, I think we discovered the best Handyman in Charlottesville area and beyond

Mr. Noonan came and gave me an estimate, we agreed on a date and price, and he contacted me the day before the work was to be done to confirm he was coming. He arrived on time and with the materials he needed, and proceeded to do a first-class job of making the repair, which turned out to be much more involved than it first appeared. When he was finished, he cleaned up everything. He was very professional, took obvious pride in the quality of his work, and wanted to be sure I was completely satisfied before he left.  I recommend him highly, and in fact I've hired him to do another job for me in July.

We were snowed out 3 weeks in a row! but Mr. Noonan was very good about letting me know cancellations and reschedulings, and when the weather finally permitted outdoor work with adhesives and paint, he was prompt, punctual, and did first-rate work.  He was very careful of my prized peonies which were poking up in the flower bed right in front of the area to be worked on, and he went above & beyond.  He did everything on the estimate, and when he found more rot than we expected, the add'l charge was modest. No one likes to part with their hard-earneds, but when you must, it makes you feel good to work with someone like Mr. Noonan because you know the $$$ is well-spent.

Joseph was on-time and did excellent work.  He understands house construction and helped me to diagnosis a problem we were having with our window trim. The original builders installed a sash that did not do a good job of shedding water away but back into the house. He replaced the original trim with PVC based material. Joseph is detailed oriented and has a keen eye  He is extremely organized and professional.  Highly recommended

The gutters were cleaned and my gutter extensions which run many feet under pavers and out to the front yard were also cleared of debris. My gutters had not been cleaned for several years so this was no small task. While he was there he also cleaned up the front door siding of mold and mildew, filled both propane tanks up and cleaned the up the front porch and back patio, inspected my roof and sealed two shingles that had been torn. He left my home looking better than he found it!  I was so impressed with his work I have hired him to paint the outside of my townhome and stain my fence. I can't wait to see the results! I highly recommend Joe and his company.

Joseph was extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. After discussion about what was needed, he gave me an estimate within a few days by email. It was very reasonable for the amount and type of work done. The work was completed in the two days as promised.  There was a little more damage than Joseph had anticipated, so he called me on the first night- from Lowes at 9 pm getting more supplies so he could finish my job on time! He called in an extra guy to ensure that the wood would be painted that day. 
Joseph also noticed that the weatherstripping around my front door was bad with air coming through. He fixed that too! 
Joseph is also just a very cool guy. He's obviously a very smart guy who loves to work with his hands. His area of expertise is exteriors and he knows his stuff. I would highly recommend him.

Fantastic work and very professional

Mr. Noonan fulfilled every requirement of the contract and performed other painting and repairs not in the contract without additional cost. Arrived on time and left the area clean at the conclusion of each day.  Very detailed oriented and often sought our opionion or approval on certain aspects of the job.  In conclusion, we have asked him to return and give us an estimate on some outside painting.  (Due to inclement weather, etc. our outside Christmas decorations had not been removed; Mr. Noonan offered to remove them for us.)

Everything went very well!  I needed to get this work taken care of before I could start looking for tenants to rent my house.  Knowing the time sensitivity of the project, Mr. Noonan rearranged his projects to accommodate me.  Mr. Noonan and his team were very professional, and kind.  After the project was completed, Mr. Noonan took me around the house to show me what had been done, taking the time to explain everything and answer my questions.  I was very pleased with the work done on my house and Mr. Noonan's dedication to excellent customer service.

Did great. Cleaned and repaired some very high gutters on the house. Also repaired some damaged shutters and didn't charge anything extra. Also patched up some cracks he saw. Overall very professional and complete.

He was a bit pricey, but the work seemed to merit it. Also he seemed a little overbooked. At first he said it would be 2 months before he could get to it. When I told him thanks we needed someone now, he was able to fit us in within 2 weeks.

Joe was professional from our first meeting. He was punctual and confirmed our meeting. He gave us a detailed estimate of the work which was fair given the complexities of the job. He showed up on time and finished on time. Joe completely cleaned the area and hauled away all the debris. I would highly recommend him and will be working with him again this spring as we continue to replace and repair our exterior woodwork.

Professional job.  Joe also made note (even took photos in some cases) of trim that needs replacing, as well as problems with gutters that need to be remedied.  He was careful to go over every item with me to make sure I was clear about everything.
