Seemed to go well at first; scheduled for 2.5 hours. Two girls were here & they left 15 minutes early. I was here during the time of the cleaning but did not interfere with their work nor did I inspect afterwards as I was in a rush to get to the hospital (husband hospitalized). Upon returning home that evening, I went to take a shower & found the bathroom cleaning to be lacking. We have 3 full baths & the only one that seemed to be cleaned acceptably was the 1st floor bath. The master bath had dirty floors & cabinets. The tub still had some scum on the sides & walls. The 3rd bath still had a very dirty commode as it had not been used in 6 weeks. None of the baths were "sparkling clean". I was embarrassed that I had not contacted Nooks & Crannies immediately but I paid good money expecting excellent results. So 2 days later, I decided that I needed to call & asked if the toilet bowls were part of the cleaning of the bathrooms... Lauren stated they were so I told her of my problem with the service, She readily sent out a second crew (at my request not to send the same two workers) & they spent an hour correcting the problems in the two upstairs bathrooms. Overall, the experience was a learning one & I certainly appreciated Lauren's willingness to work with her customer & make things right. Yes, I would use them again.

After buying a promotional offer through Angies List, I have continued using Nooks and Crannies. They really are very good and have been willing to go the extra mile to accommodate my schedule and preferences.

This first cleaning was great! The team cleaned all floors and counters, baseboards, stove/fridge, 2 bathrooms, vacuumed carpet, tidied up bedrooms (dusting, making beds, etc.), and organized cluttered areas. We liked that they used natural cleaning products, especially since at the time we had an infant. The service was good enough that we hired them for a regular cleaning (every 2 weeks) and we still use them now. I will say that the regular cleaning services have never been quite as good as that first cleaning- it varies a lot depending on which team members come to our house, and they never clean the same way twice. We've followed up a couple of times when there were major issues (e.g., whole areas that were overlooked), and the owner/manager has always been very responsive and accommodating. So we are fairly satisfied and appreciate the customer service, although we know we'll likely need to schedule a and quot;deep cleaningand quot; at some point to get to the level of quality we received the first time around.

We have them come every two weeks, and they do a consistently good job. We have had 2 different crews in our time with them, and both teams were professional and thorough. We recommend them.

After reading some positive reviews on Angie's list, I decided to give Nooks and Crannies cleaning a try. From the start, they were very hard to get a hold of (no one ever answered the phone, even after 6 tries), and we ended up communicating by email. After receiving an estimate for biweekly cleaning, which was to include floor mopping, light fixture cleaning, dusting, bathrooms, windows, etc, it was about 3 wks before they were able to send a team out. We have a lovely nanny who does most of the light work cleaning and organizing around the house, so there was basically just some good deep cleaning that needed done. When I came home, I could not even tell that the house had been cleaned, besides the bathrooms. There was still pet hair all over the bed in the spare bedroom, dust on the wooden blinds at the windows, dust on multiple surfaces and lamps, dusty piano keys, and the light fixtures were as dirty as ever. A 7-year old could have done the cleaning job that this team did. According to their website, they use aromatherapy oils and the house will smell lovely afterwards --nope, didn't even have a and quot;just cleanedand quot; smell. A very sloppy job --please save your time and money and find someone else to do the cleaning, which is what I will be doing.

They even asked her to look around and let them know if she wanted anything else done. If you had contacted us, we would have immediately sent the team back to fix anything you were unhappy with."

They were always prompt, professional and courteous. They always sent 2 women to work on our home, which was nice because it takes less time and they split up the tasks. They bring their own products and supplies (and used natural cleaning products, which was one of our requirements). Allie and Cherie cleaned for us a few times and were great, careful with knick-knacks and picture frames. They are willing and able to take on other tasks at an additional price. Overall they do a nice job. I would definitely hire them again!

We have been using Nooks and Crannies since we moved to Charlottesville. They have probably been out half a dozen times to clean our house. They are thorough and easy to work with. We also have a chocolate lab (major shedder) and they magically make his hair disappear from all of the living spaces in the house. For this I am incredibly grateful for their hard work. Additionally they don't mind if he is home when they are here and even let him out. Overall I am very pleased with their team and would highly recommend them.

I used a coupon for $99 for 2 hours of cleaning, which is a great price. They showed up when they were supposed to and were friendly and did a good job...with what they did. I was very clear that my priorities were 1) the bathrooms 2) the floors 3) the kitchen and 4) any dusting they could get to afterward. I made this point at least twice when I showed them around. However, when I returned, they had not gone up to the third floor at all, so the kids' bedrooms weren't vacuumed and their bathroom was still dirty.
I called the next day with the expectation that some amends would be made - either they would return to finish the job because they hadn't done what I asked, or that I'd get some kind of discount with a future service, or something. Instead I was told, and quot;Well, I'm sorry if they didn't understand what you wanted, but I'm not going to give you work for free.and quot;
This is terrible customer service. I would certainly have used their company again if they'd been willing to deal - so instead of saving themselves an hour of cleaning, they've actually lost themselves hundreds of dollars in long-term return business.
I called the next day with the expectation that some amends would be made - either they would return to finish the job because they hadn't done what I asked, or that I'd get some kind of discount with a future service, or something. Since our teams work in pairs, our supplies are given out so that one person can dust, clean the kitchen, vacuum mop, etc., while the other cleans the bathrooms. In your house, this means that one person had two hours to clean all four bathrooms. Your team worked very hard to clean your house but we would have recommended a longer cleaning considering the size of your house. Please call or email us if you have any other questions. We were very pleased and have decided to use them regularly. They have been excellent. They pay close attention to details and always check to see if there is anything particular I want them to do at each cleaning. We have pets and a small baby, so we need general cleaning - vacuuming, changing beds, cleaning kitchen and bathroom. The house is always nice and clean when they finish and since they don't use chemicals it smells fresh but not bleachy, which I like. They were right on time the first time. The second time they were a bit late but called twice to update me and let me know, so that was fine and I appreciated their continuing to keep me posted so I could go about my day without having to wait around. Another time they came early, which also worked out and they were apologetic. I am very pleased with the job they did and are doing and will continue to use them.

Fair, hence the overall Good rating. This was a move in clean, so there
was nothing to get in their way, so I expected a more thorough job in

OK, but I'll likely try out some other companies in the area before
coming back to them. They were very professional and neat and punctual.
If they have a great coupon I would recommend them for a try, but if
not, I would shop around.

It went well, overall. They were diligent, but I don't think they had enough time to do the job really well. We found several areas that were not dusted or cleaned, and they redid the work. I would just make sure to go over their work.

The team arrived at exactly the agreed upon time and immediately got started. They were friendly and engaging and even helped to escort outside a giant spider that we found! Above and beyond the call of duty, I would say. The house was in rough shape, but they did a wonderful job. It was very nice to come home to a clean house.

We had to leave for our new home prior to the move-out cleaning, but our property manager viewed our condo after the cleaning was completed. She was not satisfied with the quality of the cleaning. Therefore, we contacted Nooks and Crannies and asked them to go back to our property to see what the property manager felt needed additional attention. They were very apologetic and professional about returning to see what they needed to improve upon.
After returning to our property a second time, the property manager still was not pleased. Again, Nooks and Crannies returned to our property to try to please the property manager's expectations for spotless cleaning. After returning twice, the property manager was satisfied.
Our real estate agent saw the property after the first cleaning and she felt the condo looked very nice then. So, the property manager was simply very fussy about what she considered to be a top-rate cleaning job. Nooks and Crannies went above and beyond to try to meet the property manager's expectations. They were very professional throughout the whole ordeal. They even provided us with pictures of the and quot;pristineand quot; condition of our condo to show their extreme efforts. We offered to pay them an additional amount for their services, and said they would not accept any more money as it was their job to ensure the job was done right and to the client's satisfaction.
I would recommend them to anyone and I assure you that they will do whatever it takes to please their clients.
