Our experience with Never Dark Whole House Generators from start to finish was remarkable! It started with the salesman clearly explaining all of our options including the "six month" wait for install. The prices were clear as was the timeframes. The install crew was quick and professional and completed the install within one day and was coordinated the county inspection. Overall, this process was enjoyable. I would highly recommend Never Dark Whole House Generators to anyone seeking this service.

Although the wait from purchase to install was four months, it was well worth it. Ours was a fairly complex install, and the team that did the work was excellent: professional, friendly, and attentive to details. What we got with Never Dark was top-notch electricians who specialize in generators, and the result was confidence-inspiring, making us feel very good about what is a substantial investment.

Very happy with installation and look of the generator. Everyone was very polite and explained what they were doing every step of the way. Very communicative and kept everything on schedule. All staff were knowledgeable and extremely helpful throughout the entire process.

Great experience! Technician was on time and performed the work quickly, cleanly, and competently. Didn't spill a drop during the oil change! I asked for a brief tutorial on the generator operation and he cheerfully provided a comprehensive instruction and answered all my questions. I was impressed by the depth of his knowledge.

I am totally pleased with Never Dark generators. They installed a whole house generator and whole house surge protector. For every visit they were always on time, from initial visit to quote, through installation, and final county inspection. Their technicians were extremely competent and professional, explaining everything about the process, and instructions. I highly recommend them for any needs you may have they provide.

I was unhappy with the company servicing my whole house generator. Based upon the reviews on this site i called Never Dark and arranged a service call last August. I'm glad I did since we discovered significant damage caused by mice building a nest in the grnerator control box. The serviceman, Ricky Wilkerson, repaired the damage , found other issues which needed to be addressed and got the generator in excellent working order. He also put moth balls in the bottom of the generator to discourage future nesting. I wish my prior company would have suggested this since I could have saved a lot in repair costs.
Based upon the positive experience I signed a two year service contract with Never Dark. The cost was more expensive than my prior company but I guess you get what you pay for. I returned from a several week trip last week just in time for the big snow storm. I tested my generator and it didn't work. I called Never Dark and Ricky showed up just as the snow started to fall and fixed the problem. It appears a lighting strike had tripped a breaker turning off the power to the generator. It's nice to know I will get prompt service with my service contract especially when you need it.  So far my experience with Never Dark has been very positive and would recommend them to anyone needing a generator or servicing.

Products and services were well explained.  Scheduling was handled well.  Never Dark took care of permitting and inspections.  Installation was scheduled during a 2-day period, but weather delayed completion until the 4th day.  Never Dark employees all were courteous, helpful and well informed.  Installer kept us informed of progress and when and for how long power was to be off.  Working conditions were difficult because of the heavy, persistent rain, but work was performed professionally.  Clean-up was thorough.  A Never Dark representative was present for the final inspection by the county and provided a thorough overview of the operation of the system, including  a simulated power outage so we could experience what to expect when an actual outage occurs 
All of the employees we met or talked with, and the quality of the work and equipment instilled in us a great deal of confidence and peace of mind.

We've been considering a whole house generator for many years after experiencing very long power outages in Fluvanna County. This year, we decided to bite the bullet.  After much research of products and vendors, Never Dark was the obvious choice. Their team did an incredible job in the installation.  Everything was handled exactly as was described during the survey and we were kept informed throughout the process of gas tank, generator, electrical panel re-wiring, and transfer switch installation...through the final county inspections.  The crew was extremely courteous, methodical, and cleaned up perfectly after their work.  The system has been in place for two months and runs perfectly. While a system like this is expensive, the peace of mind in brings to our family is priceless.  Kudos Never Dark!

Never Dark was professional and, as near as we could tell, their price was competitive. Their installation crew took their time to fully answer our questions and ensure we understood how the backup generator will work. The one minor complaint is that, after we had purchased the generator, it took nearly a month before they called us to schedule its installation. I had the impression that the installation was going to happen sooner and called twice to ask about timing before the person in charge of putting the generator In returned my call. After we were on their schedule, the installation was done on a timely basis. There was one hiccup; the on-off valve did not work after the installation but Never Dark scheduled and then installed a new valve on a timely basis and arranged for the county inspection to take place shortly thereafter to complete their job.

Great job from beginning to end of installation. Expect service contract to go equally well. Sales information was clear and aided in selecting type of generator to be installed without any pressure to purchase the most expensive. Their price is on the high side but it includes coordinating with LP company, permit, and inspection so it is worth the extra cost.  Installation team was professional and punctual. They explained everything clearly, answering all questions. Installation was top-notch: wiring tidy, generator site on solid construction, cleaned inside and out leaving no debris or drywall dust. Office workers were also responsive and kept us apprised of scheduling. Really like that they coordinated the propane company and arranged for the county inspection. Highly recommend this company.

They did an outstanding job. They explained everything thoroughly. The system has been called upon multiple times since the installation and has performed perfectly. Our neighborhood loses power very often and this generator has been a life saver. It was worth every penny it cost. We would certainly recommend Never Dark to anyone.

Our old generator sheared some mounting bolts for the motor and could no longer be repaired. Never Dark provided the highest estimate of the replacement work, but also quoted a price for the latest model generator while concurrently bringing the installation into conformance with the latest building codes.  They were on time, fast, efficient and exceedingly professional. All operating procedures for the newer generator were explained thoroughly. Additionally, they ho  I highly recommend Never Dark based on this experience.

Let me preface by saying, I didn't have work done by Never Dark - and I've never written a review of a company where the work wasn't performed. Frankly, I was hesitant to do so in this case, but the company should be aware off this practice. Anyway, I called to get an estimate on a whole house generator from Never Dark, having gained two estimates from other companies up to the point of the call. I got a call back from the rep promptly enough but it was evident fairly quickly that a phone call was all I was going to get. The guy, who was nice enough and seemed to know his stuff, simply read off their costs like a menu for a 17kw Generac generator, including install, permits, etc. and gave me some quick background company info.  I have no doubt the costs were accurate and the information was accurate - they were in line with other estimates I've received. HOWEVER, forgive me if I'm old-fashioned, but I would like to meet the company rep in person and have a "sit down" if I'm going to spend seven to eight thousand dollars with a company. To be blunt, I'm not ordering a pizza, I'm spending a lot of money - and it seems an estimate of this size deserves something beyond a twenty to twenty-five minute phone call. Sorry Never Dark - but this practice gives the impression that if you're this lazy regarding estimates, how lazy will you be regarding installs and service? Please correct it for the next potential customer that calls for an estimate - for their sake and yours. Who knows? Never Dark may do great work. I'll never know.
