except for a back order on the unit it went very well. Many appointments scheduled back to back, all happened on time. Electricians were timely, neat and professional.

Mr. Electric stopped by for less than an hour.  While they were there they did not complete a full electrical inspection and merely labeled one item per breaker even though multiple rooms or appliances were using that breaker.  For an example, our microwave kicked the breaker which was labeled dishwasher.  A more complete job would have been appreciated rather than minimal effort put forth.

It went wonderfully! They came in about 30 minutes after close of business with a team that worked with military precision. They finished the project in 2-3 hrs time and within budget.

I will update this review when they let me know if the estimate is in fact free and also if we use them for the service.
Okay so yes...the estimate was free but when he came to give it I felt more like I was dealing with a car salesman than an electrician. So he gave me a quote for the job (I think like $900) and then when I hesitated, he said and quot;let me see what I can doand quot; and he went out to his truck and came back with a new quote. He took it well when I said I felt like I was buying a car!

The work was excellent. I have no idea if the price was good or not. He was polite and thorough and did a good job.

The job included putting electricity in a newly built shed...outlets and a light. Also had him install a light in a claset that didn't have one and add some outlets in an unfinished part of basement.

Repairman was nice and responsive he fixed a fuse in basement but other lights were not fixed, told we needed to get new fixtures first. He said basement lights were blowing because of walking around upstairs so we just needed heavy duty bulbs (?). In the end we Paid $300 to replace one fuse, everything else still not working. Maybe that is a fair price but doesn't seem like it. He wasn't here long at all and when we called to say the lights still weren't working in two of the rooms he said to buy new fixtures and call him back?!?

It went very well. Always on-time whether for an estimate or the 3 or 4 needed service appointments. The one I thought I wanted was not his preferred brand (Kohler is) but he felt GE was better for my 2 - 220 boxes. It did have a longer wait-list and was over $1000 cheaper overall. When I was ready to change brand to get the product faster (despite price) Gary still felt I should stick with the wait and GE. The only glitches had to do with an extra 2 day wait because of the type of Meter box Dominion had on which only they could shut down for final install. Everything 'in their control' could not have gone smoother and they co-ordinated propane tank hook-up from Tiger Fuel etc. I will use them now for all Electrical needs!

I have lived in the Charlottesville area since 1973. I have lived in my present house since 1989. Throughout the years I have used many , many individuals , companies , and contractors to do small and large projects for me. I can very candidly say that Sentry Electric / Mr. Electric of Central VA has been the BEST service provider I have ever worked with. Greg Harvey and his team were superb from start to finish. Greg took time initially to address all my questions, understood how I thought the project should go, listened to my ideas and blended them with his expertice. His quote appeared to be fair for a quality product. His workers were, to a person, professional and courteous. Very importantly, they respected my house. They NEVER entered without putting on and quot;bootiesand quot; to protect our floors and carpets. They cleaned up after themselves daily. They left no trash when the job was done. They arrived on time. They communicated constantly on when they needed to be on-site. The did precise and excellent work. They listened to me as a customer. I wanted to do some of the non-electrical work myself ( digging trenches and building the generator pad), and they were flexible with that. I felt they could be trusted and they did not let me down. As the project moved along I thought of additional needs, which added to the final price. I felt they were very fair in how the pricing for those additional services were handled, including honoring a discount coupon.
When the project was completed Greg came to the house in the evening and went over everything. He had all documents and booklets associated with the generator and transfer switch neatly placed in a binder. He sent in warrenty information for us, He answered any and all questions. Only then did he ask for payment, which we gladly provided. I cannot say enough about how pleasant it was to work with Greg, Bruce , Caleb, Kenny, and Jeff. On a project as costly as a generator you should always get bids from 2 or 3 providers. I highly encourage you to include Sentry Electric / Mr. Electric in your bidding process. They may or may not be the lowest bidders, but I can assure you they will be best in customer satisfaction. And in my opinion that is worth every penney.

I made an appointment and Kenny to came to my home and worked up an estimate. Kenny was punctual, professional and very knowledgeable. The price was good and I immediately scheduled the job for the following week. Kenny and Caleb arrived on time and did an excellent job both with installation and clean up. While they were there, I asked Kenny to look at a bad receptacle on my patio and he replaced it as a courtesy, free of charge. Overall, this was a great experience and I will definitely use them in the future.
