Carpet Cleaning
$125
White wool caret was cleaned and they left it worse  There were water
mark and brownish areas as if dirty water was left behind.  I may never
get the carpet totally clean again .  There were two early twenty
workers who did not seem very concerned about what they were doing
Price was low and was not a bargain considering what happened to my
carpet

Floor Cleaning and Waxing, House Cleaning

just awful. we went over a detailed checklist over the phone (theirs) and it sounded very thorough. they charged the best price (it seemed) but worked hourly and spent half the time on smoking breaks. the owner himself came out to our site and had the worst attitude imaginable. we had them come back because nothing was clean. all they'd done was wash down the wood floors with a steamer. not only was water leaking into our basement, nothing in our rental was cleaned that we went over on the phone (walls, blinds, ceiling fans). when the crew returned to re-do the job, even they admitted it wasn't clean.

Water or Storm Damage Restoration, Fire or Smoke Damage Restoration + 1 more
$3,300
We came home from a trip out of town to find a basement flooded from a leaking water heater. The 10 yr old carpet and pad were soaked and the drywall was wicking up the water. I called my insurance company and went on Angie's list to find a water removal company. I left several messages with various companies and Kleen-n-Team was the first to call back so they said the could be there in 30 minutes to give an estimate. This was on a Sunday night and time was of the essence. When they arrived they immediately started soaking up the water. The person in charge said that he thought the carpet could be saved since they had gotten there quick enough and it was hot water. He gave me an estimate of about $1500 so I decided to do that since we had a $1000 deductible anyway and I didn't want the claim on my homeowners. He charged me for three industrial sized dehumidifiers which he said would dry everything out in 2-3 days. He also charged me for "monitoring" where his people would come by and put down disinfectant and de-old solutions. After one day, it was getting drier, but I pointed out that two of the dehumidifiers didn't seem to be doing anything and weren't putting any water into the collection. He agreed and took them out and then brought some little table top like versions, like you would get at Sears! The bottom line is it took about four days to dry it out and they had to come out three more times to clean and restretch the carpet. When I got the total bill, it was $3300! He explained that the estimate was just that. I explained that if I had known that would be the cost, it would have let my insurance company handled this and pulled out the rug and pad and would have cost me a LOT less. He didn't budge on his price any and reminded me that signing the estimate meant that there could be cost overruns. Also, he wouldn't take a credit card charge greater that $999 for some reason, only cash or check. Bottom line is they did the work, and they eventually made it look the way it should, but they will lowball you on the estimate. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I was in a desperate situation. Also, their staff and equipment was not very professional. I was disappointed by how poorly their machinery performed. In the future if I have any water damage, I will let my insurance company handle it since they have more clout with these people.
