He is a good listener and seems to be quite knowledgeable. I trust his medical advice and instructions and value his judgement. Both my husband and I have a high regard for him and consider him to be an outstanding doctor!

Description of Work: First appointment with Dr Jeffrey Davis. He took his Tim, over 30 minutes, to review my history and get to know me as a person. Appointment was easy to make and his nurse was aloo great. I have now found a new primate care doctor.

+ -1 moreI think Dr. Renee Fischer knows her stuff. I go in with my list of questions, which always makes her very happy. I read a lot of health bulletins and so I always have questions. She seems pleased to see me and I feel she actually cares about my health. She doesn't treat me like an "old person". Her nurse, Becca, is great, and has been with her for a long time., Fischer is very no nonsense, straightforward, and competent. I would see her again.

+ -1 moreThe nurse practitioner, Elaine Alpern, is fabulous. She listens carefully to your concerns and symptoms and accepts your input into the type of care you receive. The nurses at Internal Medicine are also great and are very responsive to phone messages. The reception staff occasionally seems irritated when you interrupt what they're doing in order to check in. The waiting room seems a little dark and could use a little updating, but is perfectly serviceable. The service received from the nurses, nurse practitioner, and doctors are very good and are what make this practice worth an and quot;A.and quot;

+ -1 moreWe searched for providers on Angie's List and other medical review sites. We chose Dr Lowdon at Internal Medice LTD. We made the appointment. Arrived and filled out new patient paperwork. Saw Dr Lowdon and his nurse. Received the vaccines. Discussed our medical history. And left. Insurance paid. Overall it went very well. All of the staff was courteous, professional, and helpful.
Description of Work: My husband and I needed a primary care provider. We also needed to get the pertussis/tetanus vaccine. We searched for providers on Angie's List and other medical review sites. We chose Dr Lowdon at Internal Medice LTD. We made the appointment. Arrived and filled out new patient paperwork. Saw Dr Lowdon and his nurse. Received the vaccines. Discussed our medical history. And left. Insurance paid.

+ -1 moreAs I stated above, I have had very positive experiences with Dr. Greenhoe and recommend the practice to anyone looking for an Internist. I have never had to wait longer than ten minutes to be seen which has been surprising. The office building is an older building and the interior could use a face-lift, but that is superficial. I have never found the two women at the front desk very friendly or especially helpful or directive. But once past the receptionists, everyone has been friendly and helpful and as I said earlier, I believe I am receiving excellent medical care.
Description of Work: I was new to Charlottesville last summer and looking for a primary care physician. I was referred by a family member to Dr. Greenhoe and made a new patient appointment to see him. A week before my appointment, something came up and I called to see if I could get in earlier to see him. Dr. Greenhoe was on vacation that week so I saw the nurse practitioner, Elaine Alpern. She was an excellent listener and handled the problem I had in a competent, and thorough manner. I highly recommend her. The next week I had my appointment with Dr. Greenhoe who was able to follow-up with what the Ms. Alpern started the week earlier, in addition to addressing ongoing medical issues. I've been to see him several times since and am very happy with his services. He has an excellent bedside manner and is also a good listener. I believe I have received excellent medical care. I also like his nurse who has been very helpful and responsive. She is friendly and caring. I had to call about a problem on a Saturday and heard back from the on-call doctor within five minutes. Dr. Louden was very friendly and helpful.

+ -1 moreAfter having an abcess for a week, I finally contacted my doctor at Internal Medicine. I received an appointment that very morning with my main doctor. Upon arriving I had to complete the yearly paperwork despite the fact that nothing had changed (I hate that, but I know it is a HIPPA thing). The receptionist was reasonably friendly. My wait was only a few minutes. The nurse was abrupt, but asked the right questions, I guess. The wait for the doctor was short, and he did a thorough examination and carefully explained the required treatment. I especially appreciated his description of potential side-effects of the prescribed medication and how to avoid or decrease them. I like Internal Medicine because it is always possible to see someone even if it isn't my regular doctor.

+ -1 moreI last went to the doctor four weeks ago, but I'm been going to him for thirty-five years now. Though not always punctual, the staff is terrific, and my care is wonderful. After all these years, I have no complaints at all. I'll be continuing to see this doctor for many more years, I couldn't recommend him any more highly!

Description of Work: Dr. Davis is an extremely bright and engaging physician who seems to really care about his patients. His bedside manner is careful and sensitive, and he listens extremely well. He seems to be an extremely good diagnostician. His support staff is very effectual and punctual. I cannot say enough about how good a doctor he is. I felt both cared for and confident about his ability to diagnose problems. He is a very engaging doctor who is a very good doctor too.

+ -1 moreI've used him for 30 years. I am perfectly satisfied with him. He will sit down and talk to me and he makes me feel comfortable when I am there. He is very punctual. The staff is very friendly. He is polite, courteous and professional. I’m on Medicare. I will continue to see him.
Description of Work: Dr. Lowdon is my primary care physician. My last appointment was for my physical. I see him once a year.

+ -1 moreIt was great (or as great as a doctor's appointment can be). Short wait. friendly staff, especially his nurse, wonderful doctor.
Description of Work: I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Davis. He is very well trained and intelligent. He is easy to talk to. He has great diagnostic skills but is very practical when deciding if he needs additinal testing to back up his diagnosis. I first refered my husband to Dr. Davis, based on the above. Eventually I became a patient of his. I have had my initial exam and was pleased with Dr. Davis and his nurse Kay, who is very attentive. I respect Dr. Davis very much and feel well cared for.

+ -1 moreDr. Lowdon.....was about to have x-ray and he wrote the wrong body part on my prescription for the x-ray technician!!! Dr. Davis wanted to NOT renew my prescriptions that I brought from Florida....after I spent years in Florida with excellent doctors............and had them working for me!!! Dr. Greenhoe goes along with me and does one better!..........by far the better of the three
Description of Work: there are quite a few M.D'S. in this office ONE can't rate them all the same!!! I have been to three of them. I only go to one now....the best of the three I tried............he is Joshua Greenhoe M.D....he is a o.k.! better than the other two I went to... Davis and Lowdon.........they each have somthing to be desired in a physcian...! I checked off fair or good...
