GREAT GRAPHICS

I stopped in the poster shop after seeing all the neat vintage posters in the window. Francis, the owners daughter greeted me, and was very helpful. I ended up purchasing a poster for myself, and a poster for a Christmas gift. They were able to frame both of these within two days, and MUCH cheaper than any framing I've EVER had done ANYWHERE. I will never have anything framed anywhere else! I highly recommend Great Graphics!

John did an impeccable job and did it quickly at a very reasonable price. He knows his stuff, has a great eye for color and proportion, and is extremely pleasant to work with. Very highly recommended!

We found John's shop right after he moved to the Downtown Mall. He gave us very clear directions so that we could find the mall for the first time. John treats each work as a masterpiece, even if it is artwork from a child's oeuvre. With each piece that is brought in, John evaluates it, talks about the colors and mood in the work being framed, and how different matting and framing textures and colors will affect and enhance the image. We knew we were in the presence of a master from the start. For John, framing itself is an art--not to overshadow the image, but totally complement it. He did not make any decisions for us, but guided us to the options that would work the best. He treated our own art work with the same respect as those we had purchased, with the result that they looked better after his framing work. His selection of framing materials is vast. The biggest coup was a problem west-facing window in our new house. It was octagonally shaped and awkwardly placed so light shown in on our bed at night. We described the situation to him and said we wanted something (we didn't know what) to hang over the window and we wanted a white backing so it would not be evident from the outside. His solution was ingenious. He had an image stored on his computer of the sun surrounded by the moon and planets, and he offered to make an exact-size copy that we would need. Then we talked about the frame that would go in the room. So the order went in as only a concept to us. When we picked it up, it was far better than we could have imagined. John then took the time to modify the frame so that there would be no chance of it falling off the window frame when we hung it. The best part was the afternoon of the first day we brought it home. As the sun outside shone through the window, it illuminated the image of the sun in the center of the picture so that it glowed. It was totally amazing. It was a solution we could have never imagined ourselves, but John conceived of a most incredible effect. We now love the window that was so much of a problem.
