I would recommend anyone in Charlottesville looking for a gym to strongly consider Gold's. Especially if you need childcare while you work out!

gym was well equipped and variety of fitness programs provided. Pricing was purposely confusing so difficult for comparison and wasn't discussed unless you appeared in person.

The 2 year membership contract ended on August 1, 2011. The membership from that point went from a month to month situation. We wrote a letter that membership should be cancelled after August 1. The cancellation did not occur until September 2nd. It is stated in the contract that they must receive the cancellation notice 30 days prior to cancelling. I spoke with two individuals who were not able to tell me about the situation. The general manager finally had the envelope that the letter was sent in which was postmarked after the date needed to cancel the month to month membership. I had to pay for the month of August and September. Therefore I have finally made my last payment to Gold's Gym and I successfully cancelled my membership.
