Jordan is the consummate real estate professional. He worked tirelessly with us on multiple, lengthy house-hunting trips when we visited from out of town. From his wellspring of knowledge about home valuation, the nuances of local neighborhoods, and even the timing of when to raise certain questions or concerns about a property with the seller's agent, Jordan was able to confidently navigate us through some tricky waters. We trusted him implicitly; he proved time and again that our trust was well-placed.

Over the following weeks, Jordan helped us find a home that was a better home for us, with higher-quality materials and finishes, for a lower sale price. Even after we were ready to agree to a deal, he urged us to keep negotiating -- and brought the sale price down another several thousand dollars -- even though it seemed against his personal interests to do so. Even better was the 2% buyer's rebate, which wiped out our closing costs.

In terms of professionalism and service, Equity Saver USA was top notch. All of our phone calls and emails were answered in a timely fashion, and when we were scheduled to meet face to face, Jordan was always on time. Good communication is critical between sellers and their agent in order for the process to proceed smoothly, and Jordan has a very easygoing yet detailed style/demeanor which worked very well for my wife and I. We felt strongly that he had our best interests in mind throughout.
As smoothly and professionally as the process was handled by our agent (from listing to showings to the offer to closing), where Equity Saver USA really stands out is the value. At only 1% commission, we were able to utilize the 2% that we saved by going with them versus one of the standard (often bigger) companies, to put a larger down payment on the home we purchased after selling this one and thus reduce our new monthly mortgage payment going forward. Finally, Jordan offers his clients (buyers or sellers) a 2% rebate, so that his portion of the commission will be only 1%. In our situation, where the sellers 6% comission was split between the sellers' agent and our agent in the usual way, it meant that we received a 2% credit at settlement. That is a HUGE savings!
All in all, this was an excellent experience. The next time I need to buy or sell a home in Charlottesville I would call Jordan right away; I have sufficient confidence in him that I wouldn't need to talk to anyone else.
