Charlottesville's Earthly Cleaning

We arrived at about 10:30pm after 12 hours of driving with our three young children. Unfortunately, the keys to our house were not left in the keybox where the cleaners had gotten them. Apparently, the cleaner who closed up the house could not find the keybox (attached to the front porch railing) and hid them somewhere else without telling anyone. After waiting outside with our children for about an hour trying to get in touch with this cleaner, we had to find somewhere else to sleep at significant expense. The company was only willing to provide a discount of less than 10% of the cost of the cleaning, which didn't come close to covering our other expenses. The cleaning itself was a mediocre job with lots of corners and nooks clearly untouched. Very disappointed.

It was a good experience. They were always on time and communication about changing times was very good. One time, they broke a candle holder while dusting. They left a note with the piece and offered to pay for it. The owner also emailed me about it. If something is missed or not to my satisfaction, they are very good about making it right. The Angie's List site does not say they are bonded, but their proposal said that they are. This is important to me.
