Description of Work: They suck! Slower than slow. Customer service is from a foreign country. Can't get web mail. My bill is always incorrect and more than my plan. Waiting for Ting, but if Ting doesn't get here in the next couple of weeks, going to try Xfinity.

They contacted Lumos and had everything set for me. Transferred my phone number from Lumos to CenturyLink and closed my Lumos account for me while I was living elsewhere.
Description of Work: Dropped Lumos phone and internet after getting fiber optic internet from Ting and wanted to get landline phone service only from Century Link.

We're not crazy about them. We pay about $60 a month for landline and wifi. We've been promised faster speeds by others for less money. Their responsiveness is good.

Description of Work: We were in the process of switching to Century Link for TV and internet. Their internet service was great, but when the Direct TV installation guy (the TV component of Century Link) we discovered our apartment was not facing the right way for service. We returned both internet and cable receivers and eventually (after 2 months) received our full refund.

Customer service is always very helpful and knowledgeable. My complaint is that I'm calling them way too often. I called last week because my internet service went out. Customer service was able to diagnose the problem relatively quickly as a bad modem, which they replaced without cost (I had to pick it up at the local store). The service is often slow, and this is the third modem I've had in two years. General takeaway: Service: good....product: (DSL) not so much.

Description of Work: I had phone and internet service through Century Link for many years. Their customer service was generally helpful, and recommended saving that I was eligible for when I called. They did not send out saving offers to me very often - I only was notified when I personally called them for other service issues. The internet initially was acceptable, but then got very bad. I was finally told after several calls to them, that they were re-doing there lines which was causing the outages and that my service would get significantly better after they completed this work in 2-3 months. I waited and the internet service never returned to the original reliability. Another reason that I stuck with Century Link was to maintain a landline to use when power was out. This proved to be useless, because even though my area has underground lines, the main service went down and did not provide service during several power outages. Finally I switched to another provider and cancelled Century Link after almost 10 years of service.

They are reliable. The times when we had trouble, they were really good about it. They really worked hard to get internet services in our house.
