I take the car in the morning to drop it off, they take me to work, and pick me up afterwards. During the day, they keep me informed about my vehicle. They remember my name, and I really appreciate that. I feel like they really take care of their customers.

First the positive; BRMW was able to diagnose and properly repair the issues affecting my vehicle. I was also appreciative of the shuttle ride back to my house after dropping my car off for repairs. Unfortunately, my experience with this provider was negative overall. I left my vehicle with them on Monday morning and received and approved the parts/repair estimate that afternoon. I was told the parts would arrive the following day and should expect my car to be repaired and ready for pickup sometime on Tuesday. I called BRMW after 4:00 on Tuesday and was told the work had not been completed, but that the car should be ready the following morning. At around 1:00 Wednesday afternoon, I called BRMW and was told that the car still was not ready, and that the technician would call me back when he returned to the shop. I explained to the woman who took my call, that it was important I have the car back that day as I needed to head out of town the following morning. I waited until 2:45, after not hearing back from them, to call BRMW back for an update. At that point I was able to speak with the technician who told me they were having some issues with the compression in one of the cylinders. He said he would call me back shortly with more info- I again reiterated the importance of getting the work completed by the end of the day. A few minutes before 4:00, he called me back and explained that I needed an ignition coil for one of the cylinders, which they would have to order and install the following day- adding an additional $200 to my initial estimate. I asked him if he had checked with the dealer nearby for the part needed so I could have the work done that day (the 3rd full day they'd had the car). He called me back; the dealer had the part and that by the time I got to the shop the car would be ready. Arrived at BRMW and waited another 20 minutes before paying my bill and getting my vehicle back at 5:00.
I'm not too frustrated with the overall cost of the repairs; I realize that Mercedes repairs are typically expensive. That being said, I was extremely irritated by the extra last-minute repair costs. I was also quite frustrated with the lack of communication from BRMW, and what I perceived as an extreme lack of effort to get my vehicle repaired in a reasonably timely fashion. Had I not asked the tech to check the dealer for the ignition coil, my car would have been at their shop yet another day- 4 in total. The issues diagnosed by BRMW were, relatively speaking, not all that complex to repair, especially for a company that specializes in servicing German automobiles. My overall impression with BRMW was that they weren't particularly interested in working on an 18 year old well-used Mercedes, and treated me accordingly.

It was fast and thorough, as I have come to expect from this firm. I suggested an oil and filter change this time, but they recommended that I wait a few thousand more miles. This firm specializes in German cars such as BMW, Porsche, and Audi. We have used them for service on three different BMWs, and have been very pleased.

I wasn't sure what the problem with the tire was; had a slow leak in another tire recently and thought that that was the issue. I dropped the car off that morning, and they gave me a ride to my office. A couple of hours later, they called and told me that in fact the tire needed to be replaced due to a leak in the sidewall. So--that afternoon, they picked me up and took me back to my care with a new tire. Very easy, and I trust that they told me the truth about what the problem was.

They kept the car for a month. Finally said it was ready I went to pick it up. Went to drive it off the lot and the brake light came back on. They said it was the computer and that I had to bring it back. I drove straight to the VW dealer, they checked it over and said it was just low on brake fluid. It has been fine since. It cost $450 in labor for Blue Ridge to mess with the brakes to try to diagnose the problem! $60 at the VW dealer.

They were kind enough to use the part that I had already purchased (which was cheaper than the part they were going to provide). They also returned my old part in order so that I could get my core value back from the auto parts store I purchased the starter from. Very professional and punctual/timely in their work completed. There were no surprises in the the estimate they gave me and charged me after the completed work.
