Didn't do the whole roof, only did the roof over the main portion of the house. We hired him to replace the roof. He argued the contract only applied to the roof over the main house and not an addition. We disagreed on the scope of work that was in the contract, which was vague.

Terrible. Skylights were installed in the overhang of my patio. One skylight was initially cut in the wrong place. Roy argued that I requested it there 'till his son told him I hadn't. The patch was tacky and visually incomplete. The patch leaks and bubbles, the overhang molding is separating in that area (only.) I have had to have it repaired 2 times, It is now apparent that the issue is the faulty skylight installation. Per Roy's recommendation the light tube was installed in my closet which is above my kitchen, There was an odor in my closet i.e. where my clothes are. Roy was resistant to come look at it. I persisted and he was reluctant to do anything about it. He said he'd see me in court , I said fine. He finally came and said it was fine and he didn't smell it, BUT he did admit that his sense of smell was poor. Finally, after doing research about skylights, I made suggestions for where he should look for the problem and what to do about it. He did follow my direction, where to caulk on the roof. I went on the roof with him to show him where to caulk. He also caulked the tube itself inside my closet. That did take care of the smell. Roy said that it would crack & separate and I should call him back in one week. Yes, it did crack and separate. No, he never returned.

I manage a rental property that had a 30+ year original roof in desperate need of being replaced. I obtained numerious estimates and there was no question who the owner & I wanted to complete the work. Price was spot on, once work began they completed it on time and within the overall budget. Roy & his crew are knowledgeable, polite, professional & hard working. They are my go to company for all my roofing needs!

Fine, I would recommend that company to anyone. They do excellent work. I would re-hire them again in the future if needed.

They were good. It took them about a week to complete the work. They did the work that they said they were going to do and it was completed in the time that they gave me.

Mr. Askew responded to communication in a timely fashion. He provided the lowest estimate of the 4 companies we asked. His crew arrived on time and were courteous and professional. They cleaned up every day. Compared to previous roofing jobs I have had done, I have found very few roofing nails (only 2). The roof looks great and they were able to repair the gutters with much less work than other contractors had recommended.

This was a no-brainer for us.  Askew's bid was significantly lower than three others we received, and we liked his attitude and sense of professionalism.  Once he cleared several other jobs, he let us know he was ready to go to work, showed up on time and the crew worked full days until the work was done.  The owner oversaw the work and his son was crew chief.  Both were personable and friendly and always totally professional.  The crew composed of experienced roofers and some learning the trade was excellent.  They took time and care to do the work right but didn't waste time.  They thoroughly cleaned up after themselves daily.  We got the roof we needed and wanted and are happy with the entire operation.

All work completed in 3 days to our complete satisfaction.  Mr. Askew was easy to work with and very accommodating to all our needs.   His crew were professional in how they went about their business and did a good job of cleaning up when they were done.  I would definitely use this company again for more roofing work

Excellent. Roy Askew was the 4th of 4 that I called and got estimates from. He came recommended to me and when i called was very prompt with all follow ups /questions etc.  There was 1 other popular  company that came in at about same price but they were a bit more backlogged due to weather issues which is understandable.  They did excellent work, cleanup was great, and he called to follow up as well later. He also replaced my old leaky gutters and they look great as well.   I would highly recommened Roy. He is very nice and knowledgeable and will treat you fair.

Roy Askew is an experienced and knowledgeable roofer and gave me the lowest of 3 estimates for replacing our old asphalt shingle roof and gutter system.  His crew actually started and finished the job before the contract start date because they had an unexpected opening.  They worked hard and kept us informed at all times about their comings and goings and the progress of the job.  Roy was there often and the work was very well supervised.  The new roof and gutters look great. The entire job took several days and the cleanup was excellent.  Roy and his workers were very polite and respectful of our property.  My wife and I believe we got a solid professional job at a good price. 

I was very satisfied with them. They were very good. It was within the price range that everyone else had, in fact a little bit lower. They were very polite, they did their work, they didn't waste any time. I'm still working with the owner on one of the skylights because, through no fault of their own, the manufacturer sent the wrong size of skylight. They no longer make that size of skylight so they are custom making a skylight for us. We had to wait for that to come in and that was installed on Saturday and I think he has to get back with them as the screen seemed to be a little too small, but the skylight seems to be okay. He did a lot of extra work for this skylight. Remeasuring and arguing. I heard him talking to the manufacturer. I thought that was excellent, I could ask for anything better.

I had a leak in a low-pitch section of the roof.  Another company recommended replacing the entire roof of the house using regular shingles.  Roy, however, recommended that only the low-pitch section of the roof be replaced, since the other sections still had some years of life remaining.   He also recommended using special roll roofing material instead of shingles, since this material is better suited to standing up to the elements on a low-pitch roof.  Since this section of the roof is not visible from the ground, shingles were not needed for decorative purposes.
I liked the fact that he tailored his advice to my situation.  His estimate seemed reasonable but not cheap.
Roy is a little absent-minded, and he missed a couple of appointments, but he apologized and came quickly when contacted.
He repairs were completed on-time, and I have not had a leak for over a year now.

Roy and his team  was prompt in returning calls and showing up on time to complete the job.

They came out and gave us a quote. He did what he needed to do, but I got quotes from several other roofers and I just decided to go with another roofer.   

Leak in kitchen. Roy determined roof was okay but vent was bad; he replaced vent.

Roy is a very knowledgeable and honest contractor. He gave me a very competitive price, his crews came when promised, removed the old roof, put new shingles on, and cleaned up as promised. I used a dimensional composite shingle, and it looks wonderful.

Everything turned out great. They were very professional and cleaned up well afterwards.
