About us
ACI is dedicated to providing cost effective residential, commercial and institutional mold testing and mold remediation services. Our construction knowledge and experience enables us to not just address the mold, but determine and correct the issues that caused it in the first place. We have several different treatment methods, provide crawlspace encapsulation, batt and/or foam insulation, utilize EPA and USDA approved products including a human, pet and environmentally friendly enzyme based technology that is extremely effective and minimizes the need for costly demolition and reconstruction. Serving Central Virginia, ACI works extensively with real estate agents, contractors, property managers, individual homeowners and institutions. ACI was founded by David Borchardt, a Charlottesville native with a degree in Building Construction from the Virginia Tech College of Architecture and Urban Studies. David was a Virginia certified Mold Remediation Supervisor, has been a Virginia Licensed Class A Contractor designing, building and remodeling homes in Charlottesville, Albemarle and the surrounding counties for over 25 years, licensed to sell real estate in Virginia for over 30 years, and is a HUD Certified 203(k) Consultant and Contractor.
