1-800-GOT JUNK

Nate and his team just left and did a wonderful job. We filled up about a quarter of a truck and they were fast, efficient friendly, and hard workers. We give both of them five stars!

Everything went fine. They showed up on time. I did not have them come into the house. Everything was on the porch or in the garage. No issues. Charged a reasonable amount and so happy to have my things gone!

I got several email offers from 1-800-Got-Junk for a $29 discount if an appointment was made by a certain date.  I called & made arrangements for a pickup by a date within the discount time limit.  However, when the guys arrived, I was told that the local franchise didn't honor email discounts.  No where in the emails I received was there any indication that there were limitations on the discount advertised in the emails. The mover guy did offer me $10 off the quoted price (which I found to be high compared to previous experiences with this company).  When I complained in a feedback email, I got a generic corporate response blaming in the scheduler for not telling me about the local franchise not honoring email discounts.  If this were an honest operation, they would clearly state in the email offer to customers that the discount was dependent on local franchise acceptance.

The team showed up late with an almost-full truck.  I said they could return later, but instead, they fit some of my things in their truck.  They returned several hours later and put the rest of my items in their truck.  Although it wasn't even half-full, and the first load had not been more than 1/3 of the truck, they tried to charge me for 1/2 load plus 1/2 load  (far more than a single load).  I agreed to pay for a single load and finally convinced them that 1/2 plus 1/2 equaled one!  They nicked the walls while bringing down the furniture and left nails and splinters all over my driveway and the street.  


I called and complained, was told I'd be called back, but never was. I will never use this company again.

Removed our junk from house fine but did not pack down the load well and as such we did not receive good value from the amount of stuff actually removed. On the way out of the yard they ran over the chain link fence and an aluminum ladder causing approximately over $700 worth of property damages. Driver offered $300 in compensation and never wrote anything on the slip to document damages. Franchise owner refused to pay for damages requiring me to stop payment on the check, and a trip to court to recover damages from the company. I will never ever use 1-800 GOT JUNK again and never recommend them to anyone. You would be far better served to have a local charity agency remove your items for their benefit, or hire some local guys off online rating company with a truck to haul your stuff to the dump. You could probably do that for half of what they charge or less.
