Do not use Seymour Electrical. I hired Mark Seymour in June 2016 to fix our broken attic fan. His employee replaced it with a new motor and rebuilt fan blades. I paid $400 for the service and parts. Evidently the fan blades were rebuilt poorly and broke again two days later, burning up the new motor. I contacted them again and was told they would fix it at no charge. The employee came back out, assessed the situation and said he would be in touch. One month later after many texts and calls on my part, I was told that they wouldn't be able to fix the attic fan without going on the roof and that IF they went on the roof, there could be potential roof damage. His employee told me that Mark was trying to decide whether to refund the money or order another fan. In August 2016 I asked for a refund and said I would hire another electrician. Mark Seymour said he would discuss it when he "was freed up". At this point Mark Seymour stopped answering my calls and text messages. In September I left Mark Seymour a message saying that I only needed two minutes of his time and that I wanted to resolve this issue. That I would pay him $100 for the effort his employee had put in but that I wanted a refund of $300. No response. So my husband called him and Mark answered his phone right away. After much discussion, Mark offered to refund $100 of the $400 we had paid him. He said that it had cost him $300 in parts and labor and that he would only give us $100 back. My husband drove out to his office to pick up the check. So in the end paid $300 for an extremely difficult experience and higher than normal AC bills. I have text messages to confirm everything I have posted and more that would be inappropriate to post. Do not hire Seymour Electrical.

Mark is a very professional worker, he does master work. He came up to clean up a mess that a previous provider had done.

Mark Seymour, owner of Seymour Electrical, has been a sub contractor of mine for many years. I own a general contracting company and Seymour Electrical is one of my best sub contractors, I guess that is why I've kept him around so long. He is punctual and does excellent work. Now then if you want "cheap" electrical contract work then Mark is not for you. He does things by the book and charges a fair price in line with industry averages. He is always willing to go that extra yard for me and my customers and you'll be glad you hired him too. I could tell you about dozens of good experiences I've had with Seymour Electrical.
One other thing to keep in mind is that Mark owns the company AND Mark does all the work himself (along with a helper or two depending on the size of the job). He's one of those guys that is small enough to fly under the radar and not get noticed by the big general contractors, which if fine with me b/c I know once they discover him he'd be too busy for my small jobs. Anyway, call him up, you will be pleased with the experience and his honesty.
